Linzie Janis investigates the bizarre story of Nathan Carman, a 22 year old man who was rescued from a lifeboat after a week at sea claiming an accident sunk his fishing boat and claimed the life of his mother. Carman is steadfast it was nothing more than a tragic engine mishap of some sort. Authorities are suspicious because not only are there questions relating to the incident, but because his grandfather was shot and killed a couple years earlier and Nathan was the last person to see him beforehand. He was never charged in that incident and it is unclear if he will be here either…since the body and the evidence is 100 miles offshore under 1000 feet of ocean. Is he getting away with two murders…or an unfortunate victim of unfounded and unproven suspicion?

The Gopro recorded us jet skiing at 110 miles (exaggeration) an hour. After hitting a huge wave we flew about 40 feet away from the jet ski. It was very difficult to swim with the waves and the life vest. The waves pushed us further and further away from the jet ski and from each other. Thanks to emergency 911 dialing on the water resistant Galaxy S 5 we were able to contact 911/EMT and were rescued by the sheriff/Coast Guard. We were found by the coast guard 45 minutes later. It was around 6pm when they found us. Thank God becaseu it was starting to get dark. Everything was caught on filmed with a Gopro Hero 3+.
I had to marry this guy after this experience! He kept me at peace the entire time. He kept telling me to stay calm when all I could think about was sharks ripping my feet off. We are now married with our irst child and loving our adventurous happily ever after. #GoPro #Samsung #TybeIsland #LoveStory

Thirty-year-old Ross Chapman is probably both the unluckiest man in the world – and the luckiest. He was alone in his boat fishing 40 kilometres off the northern coast of Western Australia, far out of sight of land, when the unthinkable happened. He fell overboard into shark-infested waters. Fear turned to panic when he tried but failed to swim back to his boat. He then watched what he thought was his only hope for survival motor off over the horizon. No one knew Ross was in trouble, let alone where he was, but an incredible series of chance events led to an unlikely and remarkable rescue.

FamilyFun is a family magazine published 10 times annually by Meredith Corporation.
History and profile
Launched in 1991 by Jake Winebaum,FamilyFun is written for parents with children aged 3 to 12, and focuses on family cooking, vacations, parties, holidays, crafts, and learning. The magazine was purchased by Disney Publishing Worldwide in 1992 and Meredith acquired FamilyFun from Disney in 2012.Disney Interactive relaunched its FamilyFun.go.com site as Spoonful.com in 2012. FamilyFun is now part of the Parents.com network.
The headquarters of the magazine was in Des Moines, Iowa, until late May 2015 when it moved to New York City. In August 2015 Elizabeth Anne Shaw became the editor-in-chief of FamilyFun.

He was alone in his boat fishing 40 kilometres off the northern coast of Western Australia, far out of sight of land, when the unthinkable happened. He fell overboard into shark-infested waters. Fear turned to panic when he tried but failed to swim back to his boat. He then watched what he thought was his only hope for survival motor off over the horizon. Lost At Sea - Jet Ski - Shot With Gopro - Samsung Galaxy S5 Saved Our Lives - Williams Family Fun
The Gopro recorded us jet skiing at 110 miles (exaggeration) an hour. After hitting a huge wave we flew about 40 feet away from the jet ski. It was very difficult to swim with the waves and the life vest. The waves pushed us further and further away from the jet ski and from each other. Thanks to emergency 911 dialing on the water resistant Galaxy S 5 we were able to contact 911/EMT and were rescued by the sheriff/Coast Guard. We were found by the coast guard 45 minutes later. It was around 6pm when they found us. Thank God becaseu it was starting to get dark. Everything was caught on filmed with a Gopro Hero 3+. I had to marry this guy after this experience! He kept me at peace the entire time. He kept telling me to stay calm when all I could think about was sharks ripping my feet off...

The Gopro recorded us jet skiing at 110 miles (exaggeration) an hour. After hitting a huge wave we flew about 40 feet away from the jet ski. It was very difficult to swim with the waves and the life vest. The waves pushed us further and further away from the jet ski and from each other. Thanks to emergency 911 dialing on the water resistant Galaxy S 5 we were able to contact 911/EMT and were rescued by the sheriff/Coast Guard. We were found by the coast guard 45 minutes later. It was around 6pm when they found us. Thank God becaseu it was starting to get dark. Everything was caught on filmed with a Gopro Hero 3+.
I had to marry this guy after this experience! He kept me at peace the entire time. He kept telling me to stay calm when all I could think about was sharks ripping my feet off. We are now married with our irst child and loving our adventurous happily ever after. #GoPro #Samsung #TybeIsland #LoveStory

Fear turned to panic when he tried but failed to swim back to his boat. He then watched what he thought was his only hope for survival motor off over the horizon. No one knew Ross was in trouble, let alone where he was, but an incredible series of chance events led to an unlikely and remarkable rescue.

The Gopro recorded us jet skiing at 110 miles (exaggeration) an hour. After hitting a huge wave we flew about 40 feet away from the jet ski. It was very difficult to swim with the waves and the life vest. The waves pushed us further and further away from the jet ski and from each other. Thanks to emergency 911 dialing on the water resistant Galaxy S 5 we were able to contact 911/EMT and were rescued by the sheriff/Coast Guard. We were found by the coast guard 45 minutes later. It was around 6pm when they found us. Thank God becaseu it was starting to get dark. Everything was caught on filmed with a Gopro Hero 3+.
I had to marry this guy after this experience! He kept me at peace the entire time. He kept telling me to stay calm when all I could think about was sharks ripping my feet off. We are now married with our irst child and loving our adventurous happily ever after. #GoPro #Samsung #TybeIsland #LoveStory

He was alone in his boat fishing 40 kilometres off the northern coast of Western Australia, far out of sight of land, when the unthinkable happened. He fell overboard into shark-infested waters. Fear turned to panic when he tried but failed to swim back to his boat. He then watched what he thought was his only hope for survival motor off over the horizon. No one knew Ross was in trouble, let alone where he was, but an incredible series of chance events led to an unlikely and remarkable rescue.
