Bohemian: a socially unconventional person, especially one who is involved in the arts. (Oxford Dictionary of English)

About this video

Inspired by our summer 2015 exhibition Bohemian Melbourne, which celebrated a who’s who of local creative free spirits, we took to the streets of Melbourne's CBD to ask what ‘bohemian’ really means.

See what our vox pop interviewees thought. (Rock band Queen, of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' fame, gets more than a few mentions...)

What does 'bohemian' mean to you? Artist, rebel, hippie, hipster? Tell us what you think!

Bohemians live life to the beat of their own drum.
They are either wealthy or very poor, either way they have some time on their hands to wonder and muse about the finer things in life or things outside the 9-5 grind.
Anyhow I came on this forum to enquire whether the exhibition can be made into a book. There's way too much info for a walk through exhibit. I have been twice and I've still not covered it all. It would be great to have as a book to look back to and refer to for further discussions!
