On November 16th, at 10 am, in front of the high security court in Turin, will be held the first hearing of the trial Scripta Manent, and it will be a long-running case, in which 22 anarchist comrades are charged, and seven of them are still in prison.
The repressive State apparatus accuses a part of the anarchist movement of attacking it with the practices of: destructive direct action against its structures and agents, realization and distribution of anarchist publications, and support for revolutionary prisoners.
The theorem of prosecutor Sparagna is that the positions of accused comrades are isolated and distant from the anarchist context.
It is a blatant attempt to factionalise and confine the anarchism to certain fenced enclosures, legal and interpretative.
We demolish the attempt to isolate these comrades and we affirm that the practices and positions they are accused of, constitute a patrimony of all anarchists and revolutionaries, and we reaffirm our closeness and our solidarity with the defendants.
We make a call to take part in the gathering on Thursday, November 16th, at 10 am, in front of the high security court of “le Vallette” Turin prison, and we relaunch the call for international solidarity with all anarchist, rebel and revolutionary prisoners; in any place and in accordance with the modalities that each person considers more appropriate.

Revista Anarquista Internacional. Octubre 2017. Numero #1.
Read the rest of this entry »

An international call for a week of action against speciesism, from October 30 and November 5, has been launched through social media. It encourages folks to carry out all kinds of actions, from street propaganda (paintings, posters, distribution of leaflets …) to workshops/forums and debates in your meeting spaces, to self-organizing various actions against specific businesses with the tools that each person may consider appropriate, to mass mobilizations and demonstrations.
May each one be organized as it suits each one involved, and may they shake all the cages. In memory of Barry Horne and all the human and nonhuman victims of speciesism and domination.
Both individual and collective measures of struggle are valid; from diffusion actions to mobilizations.
Solidarity between species is not just a written word!
The call out translated in several languages

Since the following news did not get a wide distribution outside Greece in the international counter-information networks when it appeared in May 2017, and as the corporate news also attempted to mitigate and ‘play-down’ the impact of this attack, we rely this info to highlight that everything continues and nothing is over.
On 25 May, on the first day of the 2017 NATO summit taking place in Brussels, Belgium, whilst being driven back to his home at 6:30 in the early evening, the ex-prime minister of Greece, Loukas Papadimos was injured in a successful high-impact letter-bomb attack that remains unsolved and unclaimed. The incident took place in central Athens, a few blocks from the Athens Polytechnic in the central part of that city. The device detonated inside an armoured-car with accompanying police security detail, and humiliated those security services and the authorities who shut down the area containing the vehicles transporting Papadimos, beginning a counter-terror investigation.
Loukas Papadimos is now a senior economist, former governor of the Bank of Greece and former vice-president of the European Central Bank. The letter-bomb arrived at his home after undergoing checks which did not detect the explosive material. Two security officers serving as driver and bodyguard to Papadimos were also injured in the explosion. The explosion of the device inside the customised vehicle added to the pressure of the bomb, leading to injuries to Papadimos’ eyes, chest, abdomen and legs and he was brought to the hospital for surgery for the non-life threatening wounds. The other victims of the bomb also were taken to hospital suffering less severe injuries. The attack was hailed by the authorities as the worst act of violence against a senior figure in the Greek establishment in decades.
The Greek State is terrified that the operational methods have developed and evolved to defeat their security apparatus. If this high profile target can be reached then all of them are in reach.
Technocrats, ticks, parasites – The violence and fear will come to your homes as you try to inject it into ours – Long live anarchy.

We were covering the situation in Belarus in March this year during the big protests that were happening here against the policy of the state that was forcing people to pay a fine for being unemployed for longer than six months in a year. For now the protests are over, however pressure from the government on those who were participating in the events of last spring didn’t stop.
We met activists from the Belarusian anarchist and ecological movement that had to move twice in the last 6 months due to constant pressure from the police on the owners of the house. The scenario repeats itself every time. In spring, police were raiding flats and houses of the activists that were already in prison and confiscating things that nobody had a track of. Later most of the belongings were returned, but some activists had to move out of the rented flats and houses – owners of property didn’t want to have trouble with the police and KGB. A few days ago the trial court in Turin held a hearing of the trial going on in the Italian state against eco-anarchist comrades Billy, Costa and Silvia. The Supreme Court confirmed the “non-procedural default of jurisdiction”, as already decided at first instance and in appeal, for the principle of not being able to process twice a defendant for the same act. It then closes once and for all, with this definitive decision, their affair in the state courts.

On the 1st of January 2017, following the explosion of a home-made bomb in front of the fascist bookshop in which a policeman from the bomb disposal unit lost a hand and an eye, several homes of comrades were searched. The police were hoping to find firearms and/or explosives. The searches didn’t lead to nothing except for the seizure of pamphlets, computers, clothing and other everyday objects. An investigation against persons unknown was launched with the intention to charge them with the offences “manufacturing, possession, and transportation of an explosive or incendiary device to a public place” and “attempted murder”.
The police began a separate operation called “Operazione Panico” (Operation Panic) on January 31st. At 12:30am the police knocked at the door of several comrade’s houses to notify them of the enforcement of ten provisional measures. These consisted of 3 people confined to house arrest, 4 people given orders to prevent them from leaving the city and also forcing them to return by evening to their houses and to sign on a daily at the police station. And finally 3 people were given bail conditions of signing on at the police station everyday.

Por El Companero Anarquista Santiago Maldonado [es]
This September 1st marked one month since the disappearance of the anarchist comrade Santiago Maldonado at the hands of the police of the National Gendarmerie of Argentina. This took place within the context of the repression against a demonstration that included road blocks made by the Mapuche community Pu Lof in Resistance at Cashamen, in the Argentine province of Chubut.
While the anarchic agitation spread beyond borders, comrades in Argentina took to the streets to spread acts of revolt via propaganda and direct action. With arson attacks against the police, barricades and Molotov cocktails against government buildings, our comrades unleashed their rage at a situation that is as sad as it is real: the bastards have arrested and disappeared an anarchist comrade.
Because Santiago is an anarchist, and not just a young musician and artist, something the press and leftists conveniently leave out, in denouncing the state repression we make it clear that denial and silencing of the comrade’s political identity is another form of disappearance, erasing from the narrative the true motivations of his solidarity presence in the Mapuche community where he was at the time of his arrest. [1]
We have no advice for our comrades in Argentina, we believe in them and their conviction and autonomy to continue transforming their pain into rage, spreading chaos against the world of authority, and deepening and expanding affinities in concrete experiences of confrontation and agitation. Action in support of the comrades raided in Bure.
In response to the searches in Bure, EDF (French nuclear electric power company, largely owned by the French state) was heated up. An EDF car was set on fire during the night of Friday, September 22 outside the EDF center near the DGSI (General Directorate for Internal Security) and the Chamber of Agriculture.
At the scene one could read: STOP THE SEARCHES IN BURE! Solidarity with the struggle in Bure, and the comrades who are undergoing repression. HANDS OFF BURE!
To be continued…

BANG UP AND SMASH: WOMEN’S PRISONS, PROBATION AND BAIL HOSTELS
Bang-up and Smash is an overview of women’s prisons in the UK, and a political analysis of their physical and ideological construction.
From the moment of arrest, to coming home, Bang-up and Smash uses first hand experiences to critically engage with the procedures, concepts and apparatus the state relies on, and the economics behind the expansion of the prison industrial complex.
Bang-up and Smash is a practical guide to women’s prisons in the UK, and a rallying call to attack. Solidarity is a weapon, and abolition is not enough…

11 men have been arrested by counter-terror police in the UK following an investigation into the proscribed Neo-Nazi group National Action. National Action was banned as a terrorist organisation in December 2016 by the UK’s home secretary after the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox. “Death to traitors, freedom for Britain” became a slogan for the group after being said in court by Cox’s killer, Thomas Mair, an anti-Semitic, far-right extremist and white power activist who was glorified in their online propaganda calling for more murders. The group has been tied to several foiled plots and far-right violence. National Action models itself on European far-right Neo-Nazi hooligan street groups and autonomous nationalist organisations, copying tactics, rhetoric and aesthetics from these extreme-right groups which learnt initially from studying the success of their enemies, autonomous anti-capitalist organisations and anarchists.
After proscription, National Action was evading authorities by taking on new names – including ‘Scottish Dawn’ and ‘NS131’, and trying to go towards newer underground tactics. It seems the raids aimed to prevent this, the operation was investigation-led and based on police work into the group post-ban and followed on from recent arrests of members of the group in the military. Anti-fascist research estimates are that up to 60 members are still currently active, down from a peak of 150 when their Neo-Nazi conference was held in Southport.
Several of the alleged National Action supporters were arrested in and around Warrington, Cheshire, in the North-West, where the group was continuing to operate a hang-out in a small brick warehouse for Mixed Martial Arts training and recruitment. Read the rest of this entry »

On Wednesday more than 100 cops raided 14 apartments and a store in Hamburg and the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. The cops confiscated 7 iPhones during the raids. On October 1 there will be a demonstration to Billwerder prison in Hamburg. Many of the NoG20 prisoners are imprisoned in Billwerder. We also publish some of the addresses of NoG20 prisoners and the next trial dates. Earlier today NoG20 prisoner Orazio was released.
The cops confiscated 7 iPhones during the raids. The cops claim the iPhones were stolen as a mobile phone store was looted during the NoG20 protests in Hamburg on July 7. In a press conference the cops yesterday claimed that they are investigating 2000 people, but expect that this number will rise to 3000. Given the fact that yesterdays raids were based on located mobile phones that were allegedly stolen in a mobile phone store during the NoG20 protests, its possible that the 180 men/women strong special investigation squad “Black Bloc” actually don’t seem to have that much. But activists should be aware that the cops are also investigating video material from public transport companies and that they use face recognition software to identify people. The 180 men/women strong task force will continue to investigate in order to repress as much people as possible, so stay alert. Read the rest of this entry »
