Travel bugs, if you're ever in South Thailand, I recommend going straight to Koh Phi Phi Islands. Everything was breathtaking - it was unreal!! Here's the list of places we visited and a bit more about them. Koh Phi Phi Islands consists of 6 islands, some points of interest include:
-Maya Bay: This was actually filmed in a movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio! Jungles, caves, soft sand, and gorgeous cliffs.
-Phileh Cove or "The Lagoon": Slow cruise through towering cliffs.
-Viking Cave: no longer open but famous for the collection of bird's nests for healing purposes.
-Monkey Beach: it was high tide so we couldn't see the beach but you can see the monkeys playing around, climbing the cliffs! Of course they are a bit naughty ;)
-Loh Lana or Nui Bay: we actually stopped here to snorkel for a bit, it has beautiful coves & reefs!
-Paradise Private Bay: stunning, relaxing island with a nice restaurant situated right by the beach. Views and food for days!

The beaches of Ko Phi Phi Islands and the Railey peninsula are framed by stunning limestone cliffs. They are regularly listed between the top beaches in Thailand.
Phi Phi Leh island is famous as location of the movie "The Beach" (Leonardo DiCaprio). Phra Nang and Railey West are located on the Railey peninsula and are accessible only by boat.

Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand. Phi Phi Island is our favorite place in Thailand so far.
Getting There:
From Krabi and Ao Ngang, you can book ferry tickets at several travel agencies and guesthouses (cost 350 baht pp) which included transport from our guesthouse to the ferry pier. The ferry trip from Krabi to Phi Phi island is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Upon arrival you'll be required to pay 20 baht pp, the national park fee.
Getting Around:
Phi Phi is an ideal walking island, you can walk from Loh Dalum bay to Ton Sai bay in 10 minutes. No major roads exist here, it's a delightfully easy-going village of cobblestone pathways with the main mode of transportation being walking or riding a bicycle.
Accommodations:
Fresh off the ferry you'll be bombarded by touts on the pier, trying to sell you on guesthouses and hotels. We recommend exploring accommodations on your own, it's a very small walking island, guesthouses are everywhere, you won't have any problem locating and finding one that suits your budget and taste.
Night Life
Watch out for staying too close to Loh Dalum Beach, if you want to get some sleep at night, that's not the place. When night falls, Loh Dalum beach becomes the center for night life on the island. Lined with beach front restaurants and bars, the fire shows are great entertainment and the music is pumping until the wee hours of the morning... every night.
Things To Do:
Boat excursions, snorkeling trips and scuba diving are the most popular activities on and around Phi Phi. You can take a long tail boat or speed boat out to other nearby islands, perhaps the most well known destination being Maya Bay, made famous by the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo Dicaprio. We went on a day trip boat excursion and loved it, we'll have that footage posted soon.

Speedboat tours to the Phi Phi islands are popular tour. You can see a lot in a day, but I can't promise you there won't be rough bumps, so I will state my honest opinions here even though this tour was sponsored in exchange for a review. The view of PhiPhi is unarguably awesome.
But the safety standards of the speedboat were of great worry to me and to some of the passengers onboard.

Phi Phi Islands
The Phi Phi Islands (Thai: หมู่เกาะพีพี, Thai pronunciation: [pʰīː pʰīː]) are in Thailand, between the large island of Phuket and the west Strait of Malacca coast of the mainland. The islands are administratively part of Krabi province. Ko Phi Phi Don ("ko" (Thai: เกาะ) meaning "island" in the Thai language) is the largest island of the group, and is the most populated island of the group, although the beaches of the second largest island, Ko Phi Phi Lee (or "Ko Phi Phi Leh"), are visited by many people as well. The rest of the islands in the group, including Bida Nok, Bida Noi, and Bamboo Island (Ko Mai Phai), are not much more than large limestone rocks jutting out of the sea. The Islands are reachable by speedboats or Long-tail boats most often from Krabi Town or from various piers in Phuket Province.
Phi Phi Don was initially populated by Muslim fishermen during the late-1940s, and later became a coconut plantation. The Thai population of Phi Phi Don remains more than 80% Muslim. The actual population however, if counting laborers, especially from the north-east, is much more Buddhist these days. The population is between 2,000 to 3,000 people (2013).

Everything was breathtaking - it was unreal!! Here's the list of places we visited and a bit more about them. Koh Phi Phi Islands consists of 6 islands, some points of interest include: -Maya Bay: This was actually filmed in a movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio! Jungles, caves, soft sand, and gorgeous cliffs. -Phileh Cove or "The Lagoon": Slow cruise through towering cliffs. -Viking Cave: no longer open but famous for the collection of bird's nests for healing purposes. -Monkey Beach: it was high tide so we couldn't see the beach but you can see the monkeys playing around, climbing the cliffs! Of course they are a bit naughty ;) -Loh Lana or Nui Bay: we actually stopped here to snorkel for a bit, it has beautiful coves & reefs! -Paradise Private Bay: stunning, relaxing island with a nice restaurant situated right by the beach. ***EXPAND FOR MORE INFO*** Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand. Phi Phi Island is our favorite place in Thailand so far. Getting There: From Krabi and Ao Ngang, you can book ferry tickets at several travel agencies and guesthouses (cost 350 baht pp) which included transport from our guesthouse to the ferry pier. The ferry trip from Krabi to Phi Phi island is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Upon arrival you'll be required to pay 20 baht pp, the national park fee. Getting Around: Phi Phi is an ideal walking island, you can walk from Loh Dalum bay to Ton Sai bay in 10 minutes. No major roads exist here, it's a delightfully easy-going village of cobblestone pathways with the main mode of transportation being walking or riding a bicycle. Accommodations: Fresh off the ferry you'll be bombarded by touts on the pier, trying to sell you on guesthouses and hotels. We recommend exploring accommodations on your own, it's a very small walking island, guesthouses are everywhere, you won't have any problem locating and finding one that suits your budget and taste. Night Life Watch out for staying too close to Loh Dalum Beach, if you want to get some sleep at night, that's not the place. When night falls, Loh Dalum beach becomes the center for night life on the island. Lined with beach front restaurants and bars, the fire shows are great entertainment and the music is pumping until the wee hours of the morning... every night. Things To Do: Boat excursions, snorkeling trips and scuba diving are the most popular activities on and around Phi Phi. You can take a long tail boat or speed boat out to other nearby islands, perhaps the most well known destination being Maya Bay, made famous by the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo Dicaprio. Travel bugs, if you're ever in South Thailand, I recommend going straight to Koh Phi Phi Islands. Everything was breathtaking - it was unreal!! Here's the list of places we visited and a bit more about them. Koh Phi Phi Islands consists of 6 islands, some points of interest include:
-Maya Bay: This was actually filmed in a movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio! Jungles, caves, soft sand, and gorgeous cliffs.
-Phileh Cove or "The Lagoon": Slow cruise through towering cliffs.
-Viking Cave: no longer open but famous for the collection of bird's nests for healing purposes.
-Monkey Beach: it was high tide so we couldn't see the beach but you can see the monkeys playing around, climbing the cliffs! Of course they are a bit naughty ;)
-Loh Lana or Nui Bay: we actually stopped here to snorkel for a bit, it has beautiful coves & reefs!
-Paradise Private Bay: stunning, relaxing island with a nice restaurant situated right by the beach. Views and food for days!

Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand. Phi Phi Island is our favorite place in Thailand so far.
Getting There:
From Krabi and Ao Ngang, you can book ferry tickets at several travel agencies and guesthouses (cost 350 baht pp) which included transport from our guesthouse to the ferry pier. The ferry trip from Krabi to Phi Phi island is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Upon arrival you'll be required to pay 20 baht pp, the national park fee.
Getting Around:
Phi Phi is an ideal walking island, you can walk from Loh Dalum bay to Ton Sai bay in 10 minutes. No major roads exist here, it's a delightfully easy-going village of cobblestone pathways with the main mode of transportation being walking or riding a bicycle.
Accommodations:
Fresh off the ferry you'll be bombarded by touts on the pier, trying to sell you on guesthouses and hotels. We recommend exploring accommodations on your own, it's a very small walking island, guesthouses are everywhere, you won't have any problem locating and finding one that suits your budget and taste.
Night Life
Watch out for staying too close to Loh Dalum Beach, if you want to get some sleep at night, that's not the place. When night falls, Loh Dalum beach becomes the center for night life on the island. Lined with beach front restaurants and bars, the fire shows are great entertainment and the music is pumping until the wee hours of the morning... every night.
Things To Do:
Boat excursions, snorkeling trips and scuba diving are the most popular activities on and around Phi Phi. You can take a long tail boat or speed boat out to other nearby islands, perhaps the most well known destination being Maya Bay, made famous by the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo Dicaprio. We went on a day trip boat excursion and loved it, we'll have that footage posted soon.

It´s the nicest and best on the Island. In our video we went to maya bay - the film the beach whith leonardo di caprio was made there. Also we watched the viking cave, the pileh bay, nui bay tonsai bay, and village and many more. On Ko Phi Phi you drive per Longtailboat. Von dort gings dann weiter nach Phuket und von da aus mit dem Speedboot auf die Insel der Träume in unser Hotel dem Outrigger Ohi Phi Island Village - es ist das schönste und beste auf der ganzen Insel! In unserem Urlaubsvideo seht Ihr bekannte Orte wie die Maya Bay, hier wurde der Hollywood Film The Beach mit Di Caprio gedreht - weiter seht Ihr die Vikinger Höhle, und viele andere tolle Orte um und auf Ko Phi Phi Don und Lee. In unseren Augen gehört das Eiland zu den schönsten Orten dieser Welt - einfach nur fantastisch!

Speedboat tours to the Phi Phi islands are popular tour. You can see a lot in a day, but I can't promise you there won't be rough bumps, so I will state my honest opinions here even though this tour was sponsored in exchange for a review. The view of PhiPhi is unarguably awesome.
But the safety standards of the speedboat were of great worry to me and to some of the passengers onboard.
There will be a written review on my blog about how I feel about these tours .

***EXPAND FOR MORE INFO*** Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand. Phi Phi Island is our favorite place in Thailand so far. Getting There: From Krabi and Ao Ngang, you can book ferry tickets at several travel agencies and guesthouses (cost 350 baht pp) which included transport from our guesthouse to the ferry pier. The ferry trip from Krabi to Phi Phi island is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Upon arrival you'll be required to pay 20 baht pp, the national park fee. Getting Around: Phi Phi is an ideal walking island, you can walk from Loh Dalum bay to Ton Sai bay in 10 minutes. No major roads exist here, it's a delightfully easy-going village of cobblestone pathways with the main mode of transportation being walking or riding a bicycle. Travel bugs, if you're ever in South Thailand, I recommend going straight to Koh Phi Phi Islands. Everything was breathtaking - it was unreal!! Here's the list of places we visited and a bit more about them. Koh Phi Phi Islands consists of 6 islands, some points of interest include:
-Maya Bay: This was actually filmed in a movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio! Jungles, caves, soft sand, and gorgeous cliffs.
-Phileh Cove or "The Lagoon": Slow cruise through towering cliffs.
-Viking Cave: no longer open but famous for the collection of bird's nests for healing purposes.
-Monkey Beach: it was high tide so we couldn't see the beach but you can see the monkeys playing around, climbing the cliffs! Of course they are a bit naughty ;)
-Loh Lana or Nui Bay: we actually stopped here to snorkel for a bit, it has beautiful coves & reefs!
-Paradise Private Bay: stunning, relaxing island with a nice restaurant situated right by the beach. Views and food for days!

Ko Phi Phi Don, Thailand. Phi Phi Island is our favorite place in Thailand so far.
Getting There:
From Krabi and Ao Ngang, you can book ferry tickets at several travel agencies and guesthouses (cost 350 baht pp) which included transport from our guesthouse to the ferry pier. The ferry trip from Krabi to Phi Phi island is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Upon arrival you'll be required to pay 20 baht pp, the national park fee.
Getting Around:
Phi Phi is an ideal walking island, you can walk from Loh Dalum bay to Ton Sai bay in 10 minutes. No major roads exist here, it's a delightfully easy-going village of cobblestone pathways with the main mode of transportation being walking or riding a bicycle.
Accommodations:
Fresh off the ferry you'll be bombarded by touts on the pier, trying to sell you on guesthouses and hotels. We recommend exploring accommodations on your own, it's a very small walking island, guesthouses are everywhere, you won't have any problem locating and finding one that suits your budget and taste.
Night Life
Watch out for staying too close to Loh Dalum Beach, if you want to get some sleep at night, that's not the place. When night falls, Loh Dalum beach becomes the center for night life on the island. Lined with beach front restaurants and bars, the fire shows are great entertainment and the music is pumping until the wee hours of the morning... every night.
Things To Do:
Boat excursions, snorkeling trips and scuba diving are the most popular activities on and around Phi Phi. You can take a long tail boat or speed boat out to other nearby islands, perhaps the most well known destination being Maya Bay, made famous by the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo Dicaprio. We went on a day trip boat excursion and loved it, we'll have that footage posted soon.

In unserem Urlaubsvideo seht Ihr bekannte Orte wie die Maya Bay, hier wurde der Hollywood Film The Beach mit Di Caprio gedreht - weiter seht Ihr die Vikinger Höhle, und viele andere tolle Orte um und auf Ko Phi Phi Don und Lee. In unseren Augen gehört das Eiland zu den schönsten Orten dieser Welt - einfach nur fantastisch!

It´s the nicest and best on the Island. In our video we went to maya bay - the film the beach whith leonardo di caprio was made there. Also we watched the viking cave, the pileh bay, nui bay tonsai bay, and village and many more. On Ko Phi Phi you drive per Longtailboat. Von dort gings dann weiter nach Phuket und von da aus mit dem Speedboot auf die Insel der Träume in unser Hotel dem Outrigger Ohi Phi Island Village - es ist das schönste und beste auf der ganzen Insel! In unserem Urlaubsvideo seht Ihr bekannte Orte wie die Maya Bay, hier wurde der Hollywood Film The Beach mit Di Caprio gedreht - weiter seht Ihr die Vikinger Höhle, und viele andere tolle Orte um und auf Ko Phi Phi Don und Lee. In unseren Augen gehört das Eiland zu den schönsten Orten dieser Welt - einfach nur fantastisch!

Speedboat tours to the Phi Phi islands are popular tour. You can see a lot in a day, but I can't promise you there won't be rough bumps, so I will state my honest opinions here even though this tour was sponsored in exchange for a review. The view of PhiPhi is unarguably awesome.
But the safety standards of the speedboat were of great worry to me and to some of the passengers onboard.
There will be a written review on my blog about how I feel about these tours .
