The Budhi Gandaki Hydroelectric Project is a storage type of project located between boundary
of Gorkha and Dhading district on the Budhi Gandaki River in Central/ Western Development
region of Nepal. The prefeasibility study of Budhi Gandaki Hydropower Project found the
project with the option of 600 MW with FSL 520 masl as the most promising and recommended
for the project development. The past studies concluded that the project is attractive due to its
high energy potential, large storage volume, its’ location and access in Central Nepal near to the
main load center.

Nuwakot: 35 km2
China: 1,365 km2
Total: 5,000 km2

Plot: After the shooting death of Forest Officer Anthony, the authorities assign orphaned Raja to his post, which he accepts. Upon arrival, he finds out that there are some corrupt officials working, and he quickly dismisses them. He than, with the help of local tribals and their leader, Mongola, exerts control over the region, preventing poaching, illegal cutting of trees, event rescues an elephant from the jaws of a crocodile. He meets with wealthy Pooja, and both fall in love with each other. Pooja's dad, Brijmohan, wants her to marry Nagendra, the son of Sher Singh, but Pooja refuses to do so, and as a result marries Raja without her father's blessings. As a result of poaching and confining Pooja, Nagendra and Sher are arrested and imprisoned for six years. Six years later, they are released and find out that Pooja is still married to Raja and they now have a son. Nagendra and Sher conceive a scheme to break-up their marriage, get Pooja and her son out of the way, and then kill Raja. Before they could take any steps in this direction, the elephant that was rescued by Raja, goes berserk, destroys property, attacks Pooja, Raja and their son, grievously injuring him, and has to be subdued. As a result of this attack, Pooja decides to leave Raja and goes back to live with her dad. Now Raja must decide what is to be done about the elephant; protect himself against Nagendra and Sher Singh; as well as attempt a reconciliation with his wife and son. The question remains, does he have enough time to do this?

Here you will find the mountains and valleys covered with diverse and pristine eco-systems. Fantastic mountain views, rich culture, and genuine adventure tantalize trekkers as they climb to the base of Mount Manasalu. You will soon understand what inspired Eric Valla to create his world famous documentary, "Honey Hunter of Nepal'.
The inhabitants of the upper Budhi Gandaki region are known as the Nuri; their language and dress are quite similar to the neighbouring Tibetans. These local Himalayan people still earn their living through trade with Tibet. The mountain views from Nupri are sensational and crossing the Larke La pass is one of the most beautiful and dramatic of the Himalayas.
Similar to many other trekking routes in Nepal, this trek has many routes to choose from. One option passes through Dudh Pokhari ( a milky lake) that is a common pilgrimage destination for Hindus and Buddhists alike. Another route takes you up to Manaslu Base Camp. While the most popular option is to trek over the Larke La pass to arrive in the Marsyandi valley in the Annapurna region.

Day 1 Your arrival to Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 2 Full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu valley (Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath, Swayambhu, and Kathmandu durbar square). Overnight at hotel.
