Step by Step: How to Graduate 2018 - Coming Soon!

  1. Apply for your degree or certificate with Enrollment Services by the quarterly deadlines below.
  2. RSVP to participate in the ceremony by the April 7, 2017 Deadline. To check the status of your RSVP for the graduation ceremony please contact Student LIFE at studentlife@everettcc.edu
  3. Purchase your cap and gown from the Bookstore, PSU 260, from April 14 - May 15, 2017
  4. Pick up your tickets from Student LIFE, Parks 209 (see specific dates below). Deadline to pick up tickets is June 2, 2017 by 12noon.
  5. Enter the ticket lottery (if needed) in Student LIFE when you pick up your tickets.
  6. Pick up lottery tickets (if awarded). Deadline to pick up lottery tickets is June 15, 2017 by 4pm.
  7. Arrive at 6pm at Whitehorse Hall on Friday, June 16, 2017 with your cap and gown and graduate!

Information for Graduates

Are you planning to graduate? Whether you plan to participate in the annual ceremony or not you will need to apply for your degree or certificate. For more information please check out the diploma application procedures.

The deadline to apply for your degree or certificate is:

  • Summer Quarter 2017 - April 7, 2017
  • Fall Quarter 2017  - August 3, 2017
  • Winter Quarter 2018 - October 27, 2017
  • Spring Quarter 2018 - February 2, 2018

For more information about applying for your degree or certificate and making sure your name appears in the Graduation Program, please contact Sydnie Tran at 425.388.9221 in Enrollment Services. For information regarding a reasonable accommodation based on a disability (ADA), contact the Center for Disability Services at 425.388.9272 two weeks prior to the ceremony. Student Graduation Speaker and Performer

The Graduation Committee, comprised of students, faculty, staff, and administrators, selects a 2017 graduate to represent the class of 2017 as the Student Speaker and a EvCC student to perform the National Anthem during the ceremony. Interested? Fill out a nomination form and turn it in to Student LIFE, Parks Student Union, Room 209 by the deadline. Hard copies of the nomination brochure will also be available in Student LIFE and the Paperclip in the Parks Student Union.

Purchasing your Cap and Gown

You will be able to purchase your cap and gown at the EvCC Bookstore, PSU 260. The cost plus tax and is due at the time of purchase. After May 15, supplies are limited and specific sizes may not be available. A late fee may be charged for special orders placed. Limited financial assistance is available for students who qualify, check under on campus scholarships.

Honor cords are available for an extra costplus tax. You must present a current transcript of your GPA at the time of the honor cords order. Graduates keep all items (cap, gown, tassel and honor cord).

Picking up Your Tickets

The 2017 Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the EvCC Student Fitness Center.

In order to participate at the EvCC commencement ceremony you must RSVP. The deadline to RSVP is April 7, 2017. Tickets will first be dispersed to those students who met the April 7, 2017 RSVP deadline for ceremony participation and then to those who missed the deadline. Graduates who met the deadline may pick up their tickets beginning Monday, May 15, 2017 at 9am. Students who missed the Graduation RSVP Deadline must e-mail studentlife@everettcc.edu for information about being placed on the waitlist. Graduation tickets are free. A ticket is required for each guest to attend the ceremony. For graduates, your cap and gown are your admission into the commencement ceremony. Priority tickets can be picked up at Student LIFE, Parks 209 beginning Monday, May 15, 2017 at 9am. Graduates who missed the RSVP deadline and have been moved off the waitlist can pick up their tickets beginning Monday, May 22, 2017 at 9am.

All Graduation Tickets must be picked up from Student LIFE by Friday, June 2, 2017 at 12noon. Failure to do so will result in your tickets being added to the ticket lottery.

Each RSVP'd graduate will receive guest tickets. The number of tickets will be determined based on the number of graduates. At this time we estimate that each graduate will receive a minimum of three (3) guest tickets. This is subject to change. Students needing additional tickets beyond the allotted amount have the option of entering a ticket lottery (if additional tickets become available). More information about this will be provided by Student LIFE when you pick up your tickets.

The Jackson Center will be available as an alternate viewing location for guests without tickets on a first come, first serve basis, or they can watch it live from the comfort of their home right here on this website!!

Live Web Stream of Commencement Ceremony

On Friday, June 16, 2017 from approximately 6:30-9pm the EvCC Commencement Ceremony will be streamed LIVE from this site for the first time! No tickets, no hassle!  Your family and friends can watch the ceremony by going to this site. We will post any new information about this on this site and you will receive a flyer when you pick up your tickets!

Information for Graduates (Night of Ceremony)

Please arrive at the Whitehorse Hall Critique Space at 6:00pm for robing, line-up and directions regarding the ceremony. Graduates will proceed in line from Whitehorse Hall to the Student Fitness Center. If you have mobility impairments or difficulty walking a distance please meet at the Student Fitness Center, Room 121. Your cap and gown are your admission ticket into the commencement ceremony. please leave valuables (purses, bags, etc.) with family members prior to meeting at Whitehorse Hall. There will be no secure place to leave these items.

Information for Guests

A ticket will be required for each person for admission into the Commencement Ceremony. Outside food or drink, helium balloons, strollers, car/baby seats, tripods and air horns are not permitted.

Guests with hearing and/or mobility impairments are highly encouraged to arrive early. Limited reserved seating will be available on a first come, first serve basis. There will be a section reserved for ADA seating as well as wheelchair accessible seating however, we have found this fills very quickly. We request that only one guest accompany each person requiring wheelchair accessible seating.

For the hearing impaired, FM Machines will be available for check out at the Guest Services Counter at the main entrance. You will need photo identification in order to check out the FM Machines. There will also be interpreters at the event for graduates and guests with hearing impairments.

The Jackson Center will be available as an alternate viewing location for those without tickets on a first come, first serve basis or your family and friends can watch it live, from the comfort of their home, right here on this website!!

The commencement ceremony will be approximately two hours. Many children under six years of age have a difficult time being attentive for that amount of time. In consideration of others, please do not bring children under six to the commencement ceremony at the Student Fitness Center. Guests will small children are welcome in the alternate viewing location in the Jackson Center on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets are not required for the Jackson Center.

Parking

Parking at Everett Community College will be free of charge. Limited parking will be reserved in the lot directly adjacent to the Student Fitness Center for guests and graduates with a disability placard.
