The NPR Story Lab is looking for great ideas. In fact, we’re an idea hub – generating new segments for our news programs, creating radio shows, and launching new podcasts.

If you would like to submit a proposal for a podcast/radio show for development or would like your show to be considered for acquisition, you can apply to the NPR Story Lab.

Before you go any further, you need to know:
Invisibilia is always looking for stories. Not big topics, not random thoughts, not scientific findings—a unique narrative focus with characters, plot, stakes, and a central question.

If you have that, you should sketch out the story, the big question/idea, and some possible next steps on the next page. Keep your pitch concise and tell it to us the way you’d tell it to your friend in a bar.

We will carefully read each pitch. Honest.
