Plot: Prime Alexander is a professional athlete living the life most men dream of. He has a huge guaranteed contract, beautiful women chasing him and the best friends a man could ask for. He's used to getting what he wants, when he wants it and doesn't believe in explaining himself to anyone, especially Autumn, the beautiful woman he's been dating for a little over a year. Autumn Singletary is a wealthy socialite who doesn't understand the word no. Her relationship with Prime has more to do with appearances than real feelings but that's of no consequence when Prime decides to end their relationship by publicly humiliating her in the presence of his new interest, Skylar. The bond Prime shares with his boys, Lonzo, Kalif and Dallas has been nurtured throughout the years as the main constant in their life. They are always together. They are always taking care of each other. They are a true pact and have the secrets and the code to prove it. 1080 for life. Lonzo, Prime's very best friend, is an actor on the verge of being the next big thing. He's falling in love with the beautiful Katalina, one of Autumn's best girlfriends. He believes he's at the age where he needs to think about settling down and look to his parents' marriage as inspiration. Kalif is the youngest of the crew and is seriously addicted to women, especially his fiancé, Shanita. He's a hot A&R; executive and his career allows him the flexibility to juggle multiple women. Kalif and Shanita have been together since their early teenage years and she's the love of his life. He's messed up a few times and has children by other women to prove it. He truly loves Shanita more than anything in the world and he couldn't imagine life without her so he takes all of the steps necessary to make sure she's happy and doesn't go looking for anything. Dallas is a super arrogant playboy without a care in the world who prides himself on the chase. Women are a game for him and he likes to take his time. He loves the strategic nature of the hunt and plays the game a little too well. A chance encounter gives Autumn the ammunition she needs to create an unlikely alliance by which to shut Prime down and she doesn't give a damn who gets hurt. As a woman scorned, she was out for revenge. By forming a coalition, she proved she'd show no mercy. Everyone always wants the riches and the fame professional athletes have. "The Coalition" shows us that all that glitters is certainly not ideal and forces us to question how difficult love is within the confines of the industry and all that money can buy.

'Definitive document of pre-World War II futuristic utopian thinking, as envisioned by General Motors. Documents the "Futurama" exhibit in GM's "Highways and Horizons" pavilion at the World's Fair, which looks ahead to the "wonder world of 1960."'
Public domain film from the Library of Congress Prelinger Archive, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and mild video noise reduction applied.
The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original).

Mama - TR's Surprise Party
Mama is a weekly Maxwell House and Post Cereal-sponsored CBS Television comedy-drama series that ran from July 1, 1949 until March 17, 1957. It is based on the memoir Mama's Bank Account by Kathryn Forbes, which was also adapted for the John Van Druten play (1944) and the subsequent film I Remember Mama (1948) and told the ongoing story of a loving Norwegian family living in San Francisco in the 1910s through the eyes of the elder daughter, Katrin Hansen (Rosemary Rice). Katrin would be seen looking through the pages of the family album at the start of each episode with the opening narration.....
"This old album makes me remember so many things in the past. San Francisco and the house on Steiner Street where I was born. It brings back memories of my cousins, aunts, and uncles; all the boy...

Erenia - My First Tribute to Irene Dunne
A lovely video tribute to the really amazing actress and marvelous singer Irene Dunne. If you click on more information, there is a menu to watch directly a particular movie scene that you like. Irene transferred to Hollywood following a successful Broadway career and she was equally at home in screwball comedies, musicals and romantic dramas, always gracious and chatty, zany at times but innately sensible. She was nominated 5 times for the Best Actress Oscar, but inexplicably she never won one.
As with my tribute video to June AlIyson, I played a lot with the association between the lyrics and music of the songs, the movie stories and with the acting and facial expressions of Irene and the other Stars. Enjoy the vision and comment, if you like.
Goodbye and Merry Christmas 2012!

Futurama" exhibit in GM's "Highways and

World's Fair, which looks ahead to the "wonder world of 1960."'
Public domain film from the
Library of Congress Prelinger Archive, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and mild video noise reduction applied.
The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futurama_(New_York_World's_Fair)
Futurama was an exhibit/ride at the
1939 New York World's Fair designed by
Norman Bel Geddes that tried to show the world 20 years into the future (1959--1960). Sponsored by the
General Motors Corporation, the installation was characterized by its automated highways and vast suburbs. Compared to other "visions of the future,"
Bel Geddes' was rather achievable—the most advanced technology posited was the automated highway system, of which General Motors built a working prototype by 1960.
Futurama is widely held to have first introduced the general
American public to the concept of a network of expressways connecting the nation. It provided a direct connection between the streamlined style which was popular in
America between 1928 and
1938, and the concept of steady-flow which appeared in street and highway design in the same period. Bel Geddes expounds upon his design in his book
Magic Motorways, stating, "Futurama is a large-scale model representing almost every type of terrain in America and illustrating how a motorway system may be laid down over the entire country -- across mountains, over rivers and lakes, through cities and past towns -- never deviating from a direct course and always adhering to the four basic principles of highway design: safety, comfort, speed and economy." He had acknowledged this in the belief that "A free-flowing movement of people and goods across our nation is a requirement of modern living and prosperity."
The modeled highway construction emphasized hope for the future as it served as a proposed solution to traffic congestion of the day, and demonstrated the probable development of traffic in proportion to the automotive growth of the next twenty years. Bel Geddes assumed that the automobile would be the same type of carrier and still the most common means of transportation in 1960, albeit with increased vehicle use and traffic lanes also capable of much htigher speeds.
To meet these assumptions, four general ideas for improvement were incorporated into the exhibition showcase.
First, that each section of road be designed to receive greater capacity of traffic.
Second, that traffic moving in one direction could be in complete isolation to traffic moving in any other.
Third, segregating traffic by subdividing towns and cities into certain units that restrict traffic and allow pedestrians to predominate. And fourth, consequent traffic control for predetermined maximum and minimum speeds. Through this, the exhibition was designed to inspire greater public enthusiasm and support for the constructive work and planning by engineers and public officials who had contributed so much toward improvement of streets and highways.
The popularity of the Futurama exhibit fit closely with the fair's overall theme "
The World Of
Tomorrow" not just in its emphasis on the future, but also in its redesign of the
American landscape. The highway system was supported within a one-acre animated model of a projected America containing more than five hundred thousand individually designed buildings, a million trees of thirteen different species, and approximately fifty thousand motorcars, ten thousand of which traveled along a fourteen-lane multi speed interstate highway
...
Bel Gedde's 'future' was synonymous with technological process, no less in its simulated low-flying airplane journey through the exhibit. The aerial journey was simulated by an eighteen-minute ride on a conveyor system, carrying 552 seated spectators at a time, covering a winding path a third of a mile long through the model. Along with light, sound and colour effects the ride moved at a rate of approximately
120 feet per minute, allowing spectators to look down through a continuous curved pane of glass towards the model. The virtue of this elevated position allowed spectators to see multiple scales simultaneously, viewing city blocks in proportion to a highway system as well as artificially controlled trees in glass domes. This scale was modelled off 408 topographical sections based on aerial photographs of different regions of the US provided by the pioneering company
Fairchild Aerial Surveys...

A lovely video tribute to the really amazing actress and marvelous singer
Irene Dunne. If you click on more information, there is a menu to watch directly a particular movie scene that you like.
Irene transferred to
Hollywood following a successful
Broadway career and she was equally at home in screwball comedies, musicals and romantic dramas, always gracious and chatty, zany at times but innately sensible. She was nominated 5 times for the
Best Actress Oscar, but inexplicably she never won one.
As with my tribute video to June AlIyson, I played a lot with the association between the lyrics and music of the songs, the movie stories and with the acting and facial expressions of Irene and the other
Stars.
Enjoy the vision and comment, if you like.
Goodbye and

Marlin Jim Davis (August 26, 1909 -- April 26, 1981) was an American actor, best known for his role as Jock Ewing in the CBS prime-time soap opera, Dallas, a role which continued until he was too ill from a terminal illness to perform.
Born as Marlin Jim Davis in Edgerton in Platte County in northwestern Missouri, he attended Baptist-affiliated William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri.
His first major screen role was opposite Bette Davis in the 1948 melodrama Winter Meeting, a lavish failure for which he was lambasted in the press as being too inexperienced to play the part properly. On

Rare photos of the late great Jim Davis (Jock from Dallas)
videos
Marlin Jim Davis (August 26,
1909 -- April 26,
1981) was an
American actor, best known for his role as
Jock Ewing in the
CBS prime-time soap opera,
Dallas, a role which continued until he was too ill from a terminal illness to perform.
Born as Marlin Jim Davis in Edgerton in
Platte County in northwestern

William Jewell College in
Liberty, Missouri.
His first major screen role was opposite
Bette Davis in the 1948 melodrama
Winter Meeting, a lavish failure for which he was lambasted in the press as being too inexperienced to play the part properly. His subsequent film career consisted of mostly B movies, many of them westerns, although he made an impression as a
U.S. senator in the
Warren Beatty conspiracy thriller
The Parallax View.
In the episode "
Little Washington" of the syndicated television series
Death Valley Days,
Davis portrayed a
U.S. representative from
Nevada with aspirations to become governor of the new state. Collectively, Davis appeared ten times on Death Valley Days.
From 1954-1955, Davis starred and narrated the syndicated western television series
Stories of the Century. He portrayed
Matt Clark, a detective for the
Southwest Railroad who works to bring notorious gunfighters and outlaws to justice. His costars were
Mary Castle and
Kristine Miller. Stories of the Century was the first western series to win an
Emmy Award. Among the historical figures featured were
John Wesley Hardin,
Sam Bass,
Doc Holliday, the
Dalton Brothers, the
Younger Brothers,
Belle Starr,
Joaquin Murietta,
L. H. Musgrove and
Clay Allison.
From 1958-1960, Davis starred as Wes
Cameron opposite
Lang Jeffries in the role of
Skip Johnson in the syndicated adventure series
Rescue 8. About this time, he guest starred on the syndicated crime drama,
U.S. Marshal, starring
John Bromfield.
Davis made two guest appearances on
Perry Mason; as
George Tabor in the season 6 episode of "
The Case of the Fickle Filly.", and as murder victim
Joe Farrell in the
1964, season 8 episode of "The Case of a
Place Called
Midnight." He also appeared on the
Jack Lord adventure series,
Stoney Burke.
Davis appeared eleven times on
Gunsmoke and four times each on
Daniel Boone,
Wagon Train and
Laramie. In the next-to-the-last Laramie episode, entitled "
Trapped" (May 14,
1963), he guest starred along with
Tommy Sands,
Claude Akins, and
Mona Freeman.[1] In the story line,
Slim Sherman (
John Smith) finds an injured female kidnap victim in the woods (
Freeman).
Dennis Holmes, as series regular
Mike Williams, rides away to seek help, but the kidnappers reclaim the hostage. Slim pursues the kidnappers but is mistaken as a third kidnapper by the girl's father (
Barton MacLane). Sands plays the girl's boyfriend, who had been ordered by her father to stop seeing her.[2] He also appeared in an episode of
High Chaparral and in a small role in the
1971 John Wayne vehicle
Big Jake.
In
1974, he starred as
Marshal Bill Winter in a short-lived
ABC western series
The Cowboys, based on a
1972 film of the same name starring John Wayne.
After years of relatively low-profile roles, Davis was cast as family patriarch Jock Ewing on Dallas, which debuted in 1978.
During season four, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma but continued to film the show as long as he could. In many scenes as the season progressed, he was shown seated. He wore a hairpiece to cover the hair he'd lost from chemotherapy. A season four storyline regarding the Takapa development and
Jock's separation from
Miss Ellie was ended abruptly at the end of season four. The writers depicted the couple leaving to go on an extended second honeymoon (their departure in a limousine in the episode "
New Beginnings" was Davis's only scene in that episode and his final appearance on the show) when it became obvious that Davis could no longer continue to work. He died of complications from his illness while season four was being aired.
The writers made the decision not to write his death into the Dallas storyline right away. Initially, plans were made to replace him with another actor but were dropped because of audience awareness and because no suitable actor could be found for the role to be recast.
His character remained offscreen for thirteen episodes after Davis' death, with the storyline that he was in
South America drilling for oil after taking care of
Ewing Oil-related legislative business in
Washington, D.C. The fifth season episode "
The Search", which confirmed the character's death in a helicopter crash, was broadcast on January 8,
1982 and contained flashback scene's of the character.[
3][4] A portrait of Davis in his role as Jock Ewing often appeared as a memorial on Dallas after his death.
From the late
1970s until his death, Davis was also a voice actor, in the commercials for the
American Beef Council, voicing the slogan "
Beef:
It's what's for dinner". He was replaced by
Robert Mitchum.[citation needed]
