We present Bema, a multimodal user interface that enables scholars of Greek rhetoric and oratory to perform virtual reality studies of ancient political assemblies at the hill of the Pnyx. Named after the flat stone speakers’ platform utilized at the Pnyx, the Bema interface supports the high-level task of gaining a nuanced understanding of what it would feel like to give or receive a speech together with as many as 14,000 Athenian citizens and, further, how this experience must have changed as a result of at least two massive renovations captured in the archaeological record. Bema integrates solutions for several low-level interaction tasks, including navigating in virtual space and time, adjusting data visualization parameters, interact- ing with virtual characters, and analyzing spatial audio and archi- tecture. Navigation is accomplished through a World-in-Miniature technique, re-conceived to support multi-touch input within a 4- wall Cave environment. Six degree-of-freedom head tracking and a sound level meter are used to analyze speeches delivered by users. Comparative analysis of different historical phases and assembly sizes is facilitated by the use of crowd simulation to generate realis- tic spatial arrangements for the assemblymen and staged animated transitions that preserve context while comparing two or more sce- narios. An evaluation with our team’s scholar of ancient Greek rhetoric and oratory provides support for the most important design decisions and affirms the value of this user interface for experiential analysis

Analyzing the dynamic of “LIMEN” as the point 0 where the antinomic pairs, that structured phenomenology the reality, manifest themselves as a incandescent mobile unity:
the society dissolves into sociality (Maffesoli); non organic fact identifies within the organic realm (Campagna); and the persona is possessed by the archetype (Jung).
An ongoing process that will adopt a cross media approach in outdoor public spaces and in a net of independent art-cultural centers of Berlin
Operative base is CORPO 6 Haus located in Gohrener Strasse 8A, a private/public space in Prenzlauerberg, Berlin.

In the center of Athens, near Acropolis are located the archaeological sites of Pnyx and Philopappos monument. Pnyx was the place where ancient Athenians met and discussed about city matters and any other subject that required discussion. Pnyx is the place where democracy was born and citizens had the right to express their opinions to other fellow citizens.
The history of the area starts from ancient Greek mythology as the place where Theseus defeated the Amazons. But the site is widely known for the Pnyx, the place where citizens of Athens gathered to discuss important city matters and this gathering was known as 'ecclesia tou dimou', the first democratic element in world history. From 6th B.C. until 4th B.C. many great Athenian citizens talked and expressed their views about matters that concerned the city itself as well as it's position in politics with other city-states. Also, in this area, one can see the remains of the ancient demos of Koile, an important trade route that connected ancient Athens with the port of Piraeus protected by the long walls of Athens that were constructed by Themistocles to protect Athens and it's trade port of Piraeus by any attacking army invading Attica.
Philopappos Monument was a ceremonial mausoleum dedicated to Gaius Julius Antiochus Epiphanes Philopappos, an honoured citizen of the city of Athens. Ancient Athenians in order to comemmorate his memory erected a tomb structure on Mouseion Hill, where after centuries was best known as Philopappos Hill.

Pnyx
The Pnyx (/nɪks, pəˈnɪks/; Ancient Greek: Πνύξ; Modern Greek: Πνύκα, Pnyka) is a hill in central Athens, the capital of Greece. Beginning as early as 507 BC, the Athenians gathered on the Pnyx to host their popular assemblies, thus making the hill one of the earliest and most important sites in the creation of democracy.
The Pnyx is located less than 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) west of the Acropolis and 1.6 km south-west of the centre of Athens, Syntagma Square.
Historical significance
The Pnyx was used for popular assemblies in Athens as early as 507 BC, when the reforms of Cleisthenes transferred political power to the citizenry. It was then outside the city proper, but close enough to be convenient. It looks down on the ancient Agora, which was the commercial and social centre of the city.
At this site all the great political struggles of Athens of the "Golden Age" were fought out. Pericles, Aristides and Alcibiades spoke here, within sight of the Parthenon, temple of Athena. Here Demosthenes delivered his vilifications of Philip of Macedon, the famous Philippics.

Bema: Experiential Analysis of Assemblies at the Pnyx in Ancient Greece
We present Bema, a multimodal user interface that enables scholars of Greek rhetoric and oratory to perform virtual reality studies of ancient political assemblies at the hill of the Pnyx. Named after the flat stone speakers’ platform utilized at the Pnyx, the Bema interface supports the high-level task of gaining a nuanced understanding of what it would feel like to give or receive a speech together with as many as 14,000 Athenian citizens and, further, how this experience must have changed as a result of at least two massive renovations captured in the archaeological record. Bema integrates solutions for several low-level interaction tasks, including navigating in virtual space and time, adjusting data visualization parameters, interact- ing with virtual characters, and analyzing spatial...

A walk to Pnyx - Philopappos Hill, Athens Greece
In the center of Athens, near Acropolis are located the archaeological sites of Pnyx and Philopappos monument. Pnyx was the place where ancient Athenians met and discussed about city matters and any other subject that required discussion. Pnyx is the place where democracy was born and citizens had the right to express their opinions to other fellow citizens. The history of the area starts from ancient Greek mythology as the place where Theseus defeated the Amazons. But the site is widely known for the Pnyx, the place where citizens of Athens gathered to discuss important city matters and this gathering was known as 'ecclesia tou dimou', the first democratic element in world history. We present Bema, a multimodal user interface that enables scholars of Greek rhetoric and oratory to perform virtual reality studies of ancient political assemblies at the hill of the Pnyx. Named after the flat stone speakers’ platform utilized at the Pnyx, the Bema interface supports the high-level task of gaining a nuanced understanding of what it would feel like to give or receive a speech together with as many as 14,000 Athenian citizens and, further, how this experience must have changed as a result of at least two massive renovations captured in the archaeological record. Bema integrates solutions for several low-level interaction tasks, including navigating in virtual space and time, adjusting data visualization parameters, interact- ing with virtual characters, and analyzing spatial audio and archi- tecture. Navigation is accomplished through a World-in-Miniature technique, re-conceived to support multi-touch input within a 4- wall Cave environment. Six degree-of-freedom head tracking and a sound level meter are used to analyze speeches delivered by users. Comparative analysis of different historical phases and assembly sizes is facilitated by the use of crowd simulation to generate realis- tic spatial arrangements for the assemblymen and staged animated transitions that preserve context while comparing two or more sce- narios. An evaluation with our team’s scholar of ancient Greek rhetoric and oratory provides support for the most important design decisions and affirms the value of this user interface for experiential analysis

CORPO 6 GALERIE is an art project by Fabio Campagna.
CORPO 6 GALERIE focuses, through a series of cross media and site specific international artists projects, on the examination of functioning of identity topics within the articulation of the city. Taken as a symbolical, political, cultural and sociological reference. An alive body of living contents.
CORPO 6 GALERIE runs a series of performative projects where the music element plays its role in relation to the dynamic of the space and to the open physicality of the body.
CORPO 6 GALERIE is a place of music research, visual art and design production.
CORPO 6 GALERIE, after 3 years (2012 -2014) in Herzbergstrasse 55, Lichtenberg – area objectified as an elementargedanken (A. Bastian)- the zone of transmutations – has been started a nomadic gnosis troughout Berlin:
Analyzing the dynamic of “LIMEN” as the point 0 where the antinomic pairs, that structured phenomenology the reality, manifest themselves as a incandescent mobile unity:
the society dissolves into sociality (Maffesoli); non organic fact identifies within the organic realm (Campagna); and the persona is possessed by the archetype (Jung).
An ongoing process that will adopt a cross media approach in outdoor public spaces and in a net of independent art-cultural centers of Berlin
Operative base is CORPO 6 Haus located in Gohrener Strasse 8A, a private/public space in Prenzlauerberg, Berlin.

Also, in this area, one can see the remains of the ancient demos of Koile, an important trade route that connected ancient Athens with the port of Piraeus protected by the long walls of Athens that were constructed by Themistocles to protect Athens and it's trade port of Piraeus by any attacking army invading Attica.
Philopappos Monument was a ceremonial mausoleum dedicated to Gaius Julius Antiochus Epiphanes Philopappos, an honoured citizen of the city of Athens. Ancient Athenians in order to comemmorate his memory erected a tomb structure on Mouseion Hill, where after centuries was best known as Philopappos Hill.
