- mccalpin (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Penny, this is less an application than a thank you for such a program. I am a former resident of Rome and have contributed on the Latin alphabet, Latin pronunciation (primarily on Church Latin), and on Vatican City. However, I lack even the 500 edits, much less 1,000, although I've been around almost 9 years. When I saw the limit of 25 one year memberships, I determined not to formally "apply", lest better qualified editors be turned away...but if after a certain time, you find the possibility of loosening the initial restrictions, I'd be delighted to be considered.William J. - Aphaia (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I ask for access for Wikiquote, specially the English and Japanese one. I've worked on quotes from the classics, both to review old contributions by someone else and add new one by myself. For example, to write up ja:q:オウィディウス (Ovid), I consulted Loeb online using their preview mode, not just satisfied just from copying and pasting from the English Wikiquote compatible, and in the result to correct one citation on q:Ovid too. As my Loeb Classics free preview is now over so that access granted will be very helpful. My own field is philosophy though, I'm working on other subjects too including literary and science for the sake of balanced development of our project: my recent contributions to the Japanese Wikiquote include Eucleides, Ovid, some addition to Julius Caesar and Hippocrates (see q:ja:Special:contributions/Aphaia, there I have 1000+ edits). --Aphaia (talk) 07:47, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

- Pleonic (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email)Hello! I've been editing on Wikipedia for something like 10 years now. My interests are somewhat eclectic but I believe access to the Loeb Library would help immensely with a few of my major interests: Christian history, biblical scholarship, stoicism, Aristotelian philosophy, and 200 BCE - 200 CE Roman culture. Ehrman's newer translation of the Apostolic Fathers and the later Josephus volumes would be especially valuable.
