This is a clip from the Phoenix Comic Con in 2013. Lex Lang brings up his role in the Crash Bandicoot series as the evil Dr. Cortex and how he voices him.
These are the games where Doctor Neo Cortex, the main bad guy of the Crash Bandicoot series is voiced by Lex Lang.
He is the third voice actor of Cortex, the first being Brendan O'Brien in the very first game and the second being Clancy Brown (best known for Lex Luthor and Mr Krabs)
However, Lex Lang did Cortex is more games than the former. He voiced Cortex in eight games (well actually six but N Sane Trilogy is a remaster of three games) while Clancy only did him in six games (Cortex Strikes Back, Warped, Team Racing, Bash, The Wrath or Cortex and Nitro Kart)
For all you die hard Clancy Brown/Cortex fans out there nagging over that fact that Lex Lang is voicing Cortex in the remastered trilogy instead of Clancy, Clancy had a reason to not reprise his role of Cortex. He didn't like how he was treated when voicing Neo. He was said to be underpaid by Universal (the original owners of Crash and Spyro), wasn't aware of the Wrath of Cortex and Nitro Kart and parents complained that his voice is too serious and mean for kids. Lex Lang was called in to give Cortex a more comedic take for him.
I'll discuss more about Crash Bandicoot voice actors and whom I'm guessing is going to reprise their roles in the N Sane Trilogy on a different video. I might do the same with Jess Harnell as Crash Bandicoot and Greg Eagles as Aku Aku.

Yesterday at MCM London Comic Con, I met voice actor Lex Lang, not once but twice in one day. It was seriously like the best thing ever, I'm so happy I could cry
If Crash ever does come back with a new game, here's hoping he'll come back for it. He was just charming, hilarious and lovely to talk to.
I'm here dressed up as Tawna and I have a Crash Bandicoot plush with me. Also you briefly see my friend dressed as Coco near the end too, she looked adorable
I can't say how happy I am over this, this was just a magical experience, you can also briefly see and hear Lex's wife Sandy Fox next to him who was also sweet

Lex Lang played Kenshiro at the.... sigh... Kawaii Kon.
It's 50 minutes long and only 2 minutes did Lex get some answers in. He mostly just snores and ATATATATA, I assume that's all he knows about Ken considering he voiced him for a very short period.

Neocortex
The neocortex (Latin for "new bark" or "new rind"), also called the neopallium ("new mantle") and isocortex ("equal rind"), is a part of the mammalian brain. In the human brain, it is the largest part of the cerebral cortex which covers the two cerebral hemispheres, with the allocortex making up the rest. The neocortex is made up of six layers, labelled from the outermost inwards, I to VI. In humans, the neocortex is involved in higher functions such as sensory perception, generation of motor commands, spatial reasoning, conscious thought and language. There are two types of cortex in the neocortex – the true isocortex and the proisocortex.
Anatomy
The neocortex is the most developed of the cerebral tissues. The neocortex consists of the grey matter, or neuronal cell bodies and unmyelinated fibers, surrounding the deeper white matter (myelinated axons) in the cerebrum. There are two types of cortex in the neocortex, the proisocortex and the true isocortex. The pro-isocortex is a transitional area between the true isocortex, and the periallocortex (part of the allocortex). It is found in the cingulate cortex (part of the limbic system), in Brodmann's areas 24, 25, 30 and 32, the insula and the parahippocampal gyrus.

Crash Bandicoot
Crash Bandicoot is a video game franchise of platform video games. The series, originally exclusive to the Sony PlayStation, was created by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin during their tenure at Naughty Dog for Sony Computer Entertainment. Since its conception at Naughty Dog, the series has appeared on multiple platforms and gone through various developers and spans numerous genres. The series has a total of eighteen games and shipped over 50 million copies worldwide.
The games are mostly set on the fictitious Wumpa Islands, an archipelago situated to the south of Australia, although other locations are common. The main games in the series are largely platformers, but several are spin-offs in different genres. The protagonist of the series is an anthropomorphic Bandicoot named Crash, whose quiet life on the Wumpa Islands is often interrupted by the games' main antagonist, Doctor Neo Cortex, who created Crash and now wants nothing less than his demise. In most games, Crash must defeat Cortex and foil any world domination plans he might have.

Doctor Neo Cortex
Doctor Neo Periwinkle Cortex (often referred to as Doctor Cortex, Neo Cortex, or simply Cortex) is a video game character and the primary antagonist of the Crash Bandicoot series. His name is a play on the term neocortex, an area of the brain.
In the series, Cortex is depicted as a mad scientist who seeks to achieve world domination as an act of vengeance for the ridicule he has suffered in the past. Hoping to achieve this by mutating the local animals into his soldiers, he eventually creates Crash Bandicoot, the titular character of the series, but soon rejects him as unworthy of being in his army and removes him from his castle. As Cortex's actions endanger the sanctity of the islands the games are set in, Cortex's plans for world domination are often hampered by Crash along with other characters. Crash's constant interference has made eliminating Crash one of Cortex's top priorities along with world domination.
Cortex was created by Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin, and was originally designed by Joe Pearson and Charles Zembillas. Critical reception of Cortex has been mostly positive, with much of the praise going to his portrayal in Crash Twinsanity. The character's reception before and after the game, however, has been mixed.

For all you die hard Clancy Brown/Cortex fans out there nagging over that fact that Lex Lang is voicing Cortex in the remastered trilogy instead of Clancy, Clancy had a reason to not reprise his role of Cortex. He didn't like how he was treated when voicing Neo. He was said to be underpaid by Universal (the original owners of Crash and Spyro), wasn't aware of the Wrath of Cortex and Nitro Kart and parents complained that his voice is too serious and mean for kids. Lex Lang was called in to give Cortex a more comedic take for him.
I'll discuss more about Crash Bandicoot voice actors and whom I'm guessing is going to reprise their roles in the N Sane Trilogy on a different video. I might do the same with Jess Harnell as Crash Bandicoot and Greg Eagles as Aku Aku.

Chuck and Stacey welcome versatile 2-time Emmy winning voice actor, Lex Lang, who shares his journey as an actor, musician and stand up comic. He tells of his first break into the voiceover business and how his skill at celebrity impressions and voice matching was a unique selling point for him.
He credits his voice actor wife, Sandy Fox, talent agent Sandie Schnarr of AVO Talent and beloved voice director, Andrea Romano for being instrumental in helping him in his career. The very proactive and resourceful Lex shares some of the projects he is most proud of doing like Dr. Neo Cortex in Crash Bandicoot, Batman in Batman: Brave and The Bold and for Mattel toys, and Hans Solo for the Star Wars franchise.
Lex describes the difference between celebrity voice matching and doing impressions and how he uses his background as a musician to find the tone and rhythm of the person’s voice. Yesterday at MCM London Comic Con, I met voice actor Lex Lang, not once but twice in one day. It was seriously like the best thing ever, I'm so happy I could cry If Crash ever does come back with a new game, here's hoping he'll come back for it. He was just charming, hilarious and lovely to talk to. I'm here dressed up as Tawna and I have a Crash Bandicoot plush with me. Also you briefly see my friend dressed as Coco near the end too, she looked adorable I can't say how happy I am over this, this was just a magical experience, you can also briefly see and hear Lex's wife Sandy Fox next to him who was also sweet ==I will admit now after all these months, I can't watch this anymore without squealing like an idiot xD==

Kristina Skovby is a performance artist from Denmark and a former student of the Martha Graham School where she studied repertory with Pearl Lang. She recently finished in a production by InOktober at Here Arts Center in Manhattan, and is currently working with Nu Dance Theater on a site specific performance for the Botanical Garden on East 6th Street. Her own performance work has been presented at the LAB, Triskelion Arts Aldous Theater in Brooklyn, Gowanus Arts Building, The Brecht Forum, and Spinvox street events in NYC and San Francisco.
