In order to organize GARD workshops to be held Tehran in late 2017, a meeting was held on 27 August at Mehrabad Airport to discuss the plan of action.

The goal of the project is to enhance the sustainability of Iran’s wetland protected areas and conserve its globally significant biodiversity
Iran was the 54th country that joined the GEF and it has recently finished the GEF5 funding phase and is starting GEF6.
