***UPDATE: The Australian Greens announce support for Shut In campaign!*** 

Thousands of Australians have their human rights denied every day.

People with disability are frequently required to live in segregated or congregated care in order to access the support they need.

This contravenes the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which Australia has ratified. It also contravenes the Australian and State Governments' stated commitment to closing institutions.

The Shut In Campaign works toward the closure of institutions, and the provision of adequate support so that people with disability can live wherever they choose.
