Description
The Australian Newsflash App is an edition-based iPhone and Apple Watch app that offers users a quick, editorially curated view of the world from The Australian across politics, world news, business, lifestyle, sport and more.
Each edition carries five Newsflash cards produced by senior editors.
Editions are published at 7am, 11.30am and 4.30pm on weekdays and 8am at Saturdays.
Readers who sign up to notifications are alerted to each new edition and big breaking news stories on phone and watch, so you don't miss a thing.
Once readers complete an edition, the Newsflash app also boasts stories from The Australian newspaper and latest news from its website.

Good but could be improved
The format is simple and easy to use. News is broken up into 4 main categories plus a Newsflash category which showcases 5 of the biggest or trending stories. The app makes navigating the news rather easy. The main issue is that if you go to another app on your phone whilst reading, when you return to The Australian, whatever page you were on reloads meaning you have to scroll and find the story you were reading again. Also the Newsflash section is possibly a bit too simple. Could possibly increase it from 5 stories to 10, as well as update the stories more than once per day
App requires log in every time
The app used to work fine. Recently though, it's required my log in details every time. Very annoying. Need to do this multiple times a day. Needs to be fixed asap.
Terrible app
The worst app on my iPhone 7... by far. Keeps crashing, doesn't update. I end up visiting free news websites instead opening this app. It's almost as if they don't really want digital subscribers. Great content hampered by poor delivery
