Best afield Lloyd puts hand up for recall

Fringe Tiger Sam Lloyd says he feels like he's made a case for a place in next Saturday's AFL grand final after a best-afield display in Richmond's cliffhanger VFL grand final loss to Port Melbourne on Sunday at Etihad Stadium.

VFL grand final: Port back from hard times

In round one this year, Port Melbourne players played for free. On Sunday at Etihad Stadium, they will play for the premiership. It is a sizeable reversal in fortunes for a famous club which had fallen on hard times early this year.

Frankston are back in the VFL. AFL Victoria confirmed on Friday that the club had been re-admitted for the 2018 season after its application – put before the AFL Victoria board last month – had been approved.
