Lesley Selander
Lesley Selander (May 26, 1900 – December 5, 1979) was an American film director of Westerns and science fiction movies. His career as director, spanning 127 feature films and dozens of TV episodes, lasted from 1936 to 1968. Before that, Selander was assistant director on films such as The Cat and the Fiddle (1934), A Night at the Opera (1935), and Fritz Lang's Fury (1936).
To this day, Selander remains one of the most prolific directors of feature Westerns in cinema history, having taken the helm for 107 Westerns between his first directorial feature in 1936 and 1967. In 1956, he was nominated for the Directors Guild of America award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Television, for his work directing a 1954 episode of Lassie.

The Yellow
The Yellow is the name of the second EP released by electronica duo Lemon Jelly, according to the insert of Lemonjelly.ky, on September 6, 1999. It was limited to 1,000 10" copies, the first 240 of which featured hand screen-printed sleeves. The tracks from the EP were later incorporated, for more accessible listening, into the critically acclaimed Lemonjelly.ky album. When the inner sleeve was pulled out, the Lemon Jelly logo appears briefly through a series of die-cut holes in the outer sleeve creating a piece of real world animation.
History
From 1998 to 2000, Franglen and Deakin released three limited-circulation EPs, The Bath (1998), The Yellow (1999), and The Midnight (2000), on their very own label, Impotent Fury. The EPs were a critical success, and led to the duo being signed to XL Recordings.

The Yellow Tomahawk
The Yellow Tomahawk is a 1954 American Western film directed by Lesley Selander and written by Richard Alan Simmons. The film stars Rory Calhoun, Peggie Castle, Noah Beery, Jr., Warner Anderson, Peter Graves, Lee Van Cleef and Rita Moreno. The film was released in May 1954, by United Artists.
Plot
Scout and tracker Adam Reed is handed a yellow tomahawk by Cheyenne warrior Fire Knife to deliver to a U.S. Army fort commanded by Major Ives as a proclamation of war, a warning to evacuate women and children before the attack.
Ives is known as "the butcher" for having given Cheyenne women and children no such warning during previous bloodshed. Ives scoffs at the tomahawk and Adam decides the major's superior officers at another fort must be notified of his actions.
The only woman who heeds Adam's warning to leave is Kate Bohlen, sweetheart of Lt. Bascom, who misses her native Boston. An attack is mounted before Kate can safely get away. Adam is knocked unconscious, but Fire Knife makes sure his life is spared. Bascom and many others are killed.

Western (genre)
The Western is a genre of various arts, such as comics, fiction, film, games, radio, and television which tell stories set primarily in the later half of the 19th century in the American Old West, often centering on the life of a nomadic cowboy or gunfighter. Westerns often stress the harshness of the wilderness and frequently set the action in an arid, desolate landscape of deserts and mountains. Specific settings include ranches, small frontier towns and saloons of the Wild West. Characters typically include Native Americans, bandits, lawmen, outlaws and soldiers. Some are set in the American colonial era.
Western films first became well-attended in the 1930s, and were highly popular throughout the 1950s and 1960s. Many of the most acclaimed Westerns were released during this time – including High Noon (1952), Shane (1953), The Searchers (1956), and The Wild Bunch (1969). Classic Westerns such as these have been the inspiration for various films about Western-type characters in contemporary settings, such as Junior Bonner (1972) set in the 1970s and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) in the 21st century. The Western was the most popular Hollywood genre from the early 20th century to the 1960s.

It's just prior to the Civil War and Fort Laramie's problem is the Sioux Indians. When it is announced that war has been declared the fort becomes divided between northerners and southerners. The fort Commander and the southerners resign and head south. But they have to go through Sioux territory and are soon attacked. A messenger gets back to the fort to relate their hopeless condition and the new northern commanded must decide what to do.

A messenger gets back to the fort to relate their hopeless condition and the new northern commanded must decide what to do.

La actriz Evelyn Ankers, hija de padres ingleses nació en 1918 en el puerto chileno de Valparaíso, donde vivió su infancia. Luego, trasladada su familia a Inglaterra, en Londres durante su adolescencia inicia su carrera de actriz. Al iniciarse la Segunda Guerra mundial su familia se traslada a Estados Unidos, trabajando en Hollywood, donde el poder del grito de Evelyn Ankers la elevó a Scream Queen's de la gran pantalla. La descubrió un ejecutivo de la Universal en 1941 cuando actuaba en Broadway en Ladies in Retirement, en un papel que tenía como momento álgido un grito que sobrecogía a la platea. Evelyn Ankers con la Universal Pictures en siete años de contrato actuó en veintiocho películas: junto a su voz estremecedora y belleza desfila toda la galería de monstruos de los estudios. Desde sus primeros trabajos para la sala oscura, Evelyn Ankers estelarizó películas memorables del terror universal: El hombre lobo (1941), La sombra de Frankenstein (1942), El hijo de Drácula (1943), La venganza del Hombre Invisible (1944). También en dos películas de la saga pionera de Sherlock Holmes basadas en el personaje de sir Arthur Conan Doyle: La voz del terror (1942) y La perla de la muerte (1944). De la saga La Mujer Simio, trabajó en Jungle Woman y Captive Wild Woman, ambas de 1944. En sus films pasaba con la mayor facilidad del drama a la comedia, de un bélico a un western, trabajó en “Calamity Jane”, el célebre personaje que nació en las revistas de tiras acerca del oeste norteamericano, y actuó en films de aventuras como “Tarzán y la fuente mágica”. Actuando junto a Richard Denning, su esposo desde 1942, su última cinta fue “No Greater Love” de 1960, ese año se retiró del cine para dedicarse a su familia. Su trabajo de actriz permanece: es la principal Scream Queen's del séptimo arte.
