Hezbollah (pronounced /ˌhɛzbəˈlɑː/;Arabic: حزب الله Ḥizbu 'llāh, literally "Party of Allah" or "Party of God")—also transliterated Hizbullah, Hizballah, etc.—is a Shi'a Islamist militant group and political party based in Lebanon. Hezbollah's paramilitary wing is the Jihad Council, and its political wing is Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc party in the Lebanese parliament. After the death of Abbas al-Musawi in 1992, the group has been headed by Hassan Nasrallah, its Secretary-General.
After the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, Israel occupied a strip of south Lebanon, which was controlled by the South Lebanon Army (SLA), a militia supported by Israel. Hezbollah was conceived by Muslim clerics and funded by Iran primarily to harass the Israeli occupation. Its leaders were followers of Ayatollah Khomeini, and its forces were trained and organized by a contingent of 1,500 Revolutionary Guards that arrived from Iran with permission from the Syrian government, which was in occupation of Lebanon at the time. Hezbollah waged a guerilla campaign in South Lebanon—SLA collapsed and surrendered, and Israel withdrew from Lebanon on May 24, 2000.
An organization or organisation (see spelling differences) is an entity comprising multiple people, such as an institution or an association, that has a collective goal and is linked to an external environment.
The word is derived from the Greek word organon, which means "organ".
There are a variety of legal types of organizations, including corporations, governments, non-governmental organizations, political organizations, international organizations, armed forces, charities, not-for-profit corporations, partnerships, cooperatives, and educational institutions.
A hybrid organization is a body that operates in both the public sector and the private sector simultaneously, fulfilling public duties and developing commercial market activities.
A voluntary association is an organization consisting of volunteers. Such organizations may be able to operate without legal formalities, depending on jurisdiction, including informal clubs.
Organizations may also operate in secret and/or illegally in the case of secret societies, criminal organizations and resistance movements.
A general assembly is a meeting of all the members of an organisation or shareholders of a company.
Specific examples of general assembly include:
The Arab League (Arabic: الجامعة العربية al-Jāmiʻah al-ʻArabīyah), formally, the League of Arab States (Arabic: جامعة الدول العربية Jāmiʻat ad-Duwal al-ʻArabīyah), is a regional organization of Arab countries in and around North Africa, the Horn of Africa and Arabia. It was formed in Cairo on 22 March 1945 with six members: Kingdom of Egypt, Kingdom of Iraq, Transjordan (renamed Jordan in 1949), Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Syria.Yemen joined as a member on 5 May 1945. Currently, the League has 22 members, although Syria's participation has been suspended since November 2011, as a consequence of government repression during the ongoing uprising and civil war.
The League's main goal is to "draw closer the relations between member States and co-ordinate collaboration between them, to safeguard their independence and sovereignty, and to consider in a general way the affairs and interests of the Arab countries".
Through institutions such as the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Economic and Social Council of the Arab League's Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU), the Arab League facilitates political, economic, cultural, scientific, and social programmes designed to promote the interests of the Arab world. It has served as a forum for the member states to coordinate their policy positions, to deliberate on matters of common concern, to settle some Arab disputes and to limit conflicts such as the 1958 Lebanon crisis. The League has served as a platform for the drafting and conclusion of many landmark documents promoting economic integration. One example is the Joint Arab Economic Action Charter, which outlines the principles for economic activities in the region.

Excerpt from Mr. Adnan Oktar's Live Conversation on A9TV of August 3rd, 2015 ADNAN OKTAR: Hezbollah is incorporating every communist organization there is. Why do you call it Hezbollah then? Name it as a communist organization, the communist Arab organization. Why do you call it Hezbollah and mislead people? Why the name 'Hezbollah'? Does God's community consist of communist? This is such an extreme cruelty. Hezbollah was founded in 1984-1985 upon unification of the leftist fractions following the Lebanese civil war. They believed themselves to be cunning by naming their organization as "Hezbollah." They misled the religious folk into thinking they are the community of God, fighting in the name of God. So they supported them. But religious people could not realize that Hezbollah is a tho...

Not all terrorist organizations are rootless groups engaging only in international terrorism. Many terrorist groups are socially intertwined with the local population, highly territorialized and directly compete for governance.Terrorist groups such as the IRA, Hamas, Mahdi Army, Sendero Luminoso and Hezbollah are past and present examples of a socially intertwined terrorist organization. These groups present significant, but different challenges to our national security than Al Qaeda does and a different strategy to defeat them may be in order. Using Hezbollah as an example, this investigation using Palantir, looks at the question of whether the direct military approach used to combat terrorist groups, such as Al Qaeda, is appropriate to defeat a socially intertwined terrorist group as we...

Russia says the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah is a legitimate socio-political force in Lebanon, and not a terrorist organization. Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov says Hezbollah was elected by the people to the parliament, and has members high up in the country’s political spectrum. Bogdanov stressed that Moscow will maintain contacts and relations with Hezbollah. The group is listed as a terrorist organization by the US, Israel and a number of mostly European states. But most of the Muslim world regards it as a resistance force engaged in national defense. Hezbollah is currently fighting alongside the Syrian army against various terrorist groups including Daesh. A new wave of violent plots within Europe have raised the question of whether the EU will designate Lebanon's Hezbollah as a terrorist organization. Why has the group re-opened the spigot of terrorist attacks inside Europe after years of exploiting the Continent for logistical and fundraising support? And why does a nominally Lebanese group, which is also that country's dominant political party, take such risks to serve purely Iranian interests? Dr. Matthew Levitt, director of The Washington Institute's Stein Program on Counterterrorism and Intelligence and author of the forthcoming book "Hezbollah: The Global Footprint of Lebanon's Party of God," explains what's at stake for Europe and why Hezbollah puts Iran's interests ahead of Lebanon's or its own.

http://www.dw.com/conflictzone Gebran Bassil, Lebanese Foreign Minister and leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, is a vocal ally of Hezbollah, an organization the international community widely recognizes as terrorist. At the Munich Security Conference, Bassil shared his views on the Iranian-backed militia and how hosting nearly two million Syrian refugees is affecting his country. Since then, the Lebanese Justice Minister has resigned because of "Hezbollah domination in the government." But the question remains: How dangerous is Hezbollah to Lebanon's stability in the midst of a full blown political and humanitarian crisis?

Hezbollah: The Global Footprint of Lebanon's Party of God Hezbollah -- Lebanon's "Party of God" -- is a multifaceted organization: it is a powerful political party in Lebanon, a Shia Islam religious and social movement, Lebanon's largest militia, a close ally of Iran, and a terrorist organization. Hezbollah and Iran both deny the existence of a Hezbollah terrorist apparatus, but intelligence services worldwide know it well. While some acts of terror, like the kidnappings in Lebanon in the 1980s and the 1992 and 1994 bombings in Buenos Aires, are generally known, Hezbollah's global presence and terrorist activities go much farther. Hezbollah is the only Arab army to have defeated Israel on the battlefield. Yet the Saudi-dominated [Persian] Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) blacklisted Hezbollah as a “terrorist organization.” Several Persian Gulf Arab media outlets as well as the Israeli ones have been championing the blacklisting of Hezbollah. The Lebanese resistance movement says the GCC and Arab League anti-Hezbollah moves can be attributed to Saudi Arabia’s catastrophic military and political failures in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Bahrain. Meanwhile, there has been a popular reaction in a number of Arab countries against the blacklisting, while in Palestine itself several political parties have condemned the move. Some of the vox pops from Gaza raised concerns that Palestinian resistance groups might be the ...
Hezbollah is a Shia militant group and political party based in Lebanon. Hezbollah was created in the years between 1983-1985 as a reaction on the occupation of Southern Lebanon by Israel. Its paramilitary wing is regarded as a resistance movement throughout much of the Arab and Muslim worlds, and is considered more powerful than the Lebanese Army. Hezbollah has been involved in many fighting against Israel in Lebanon. Hezbollah was so effective that after fighting for many years, Israel withdrew from Lebanon in the year 2000. This was seen by Hezbollah and Lebanese citizens as a victory over Israel. The biggest threat for the Arab League, the organization which says it’s created to safeguard the independence and sovereignty of Arabs is not Israel. It is not DAESH. It is not Western policies of dividing Arab countries and controlling its natural resources. For the Arab League, the threat is HEZBOLLAH, the Lebanese resistance movement that has been effective in helping the Palestinians fight against Israel. The group that has defeated Israel and made them leave Lebanon. The group that has been very effective in fighting DAESH. So why would the Arab League be against Hezbollah?
