Argentina (i/ˌɑːrdʒənˈtiːnə/; Spanish: [aɾxenˈtina]), officially the Argentine Republic (Spanish: República Argentina), is a federal republic located in southeastern South America. Sharing the bulk of the Southern Cone with its neighbour Chile, it is bordered by Bolivia and Paraguay to the north; Brazil to the northeast; Uruguay and the South Atlantic Ocean to the east; Chile to the west and the Drake Passage to the south.
With a mainland area of 2,780,400 km2 (1,073,500 sq mi), Argentina is the eighth-largest country in the world, the second-largest in Latin America, and the largest Spanish-speaking one. Argentina claims sovereignty over part of Antarctica, the Falkland Islands (Spanish: Islas Malvinas), South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The country is subdivided into twenty-three provinces (Spanish: provincias, singular provincia) and one autonomous city (ciudad autónoma), Buenos Aires, which is the federal capital of the nation (Spanish: Capital Federal) as decided by Congress. The provinces and the capital have their own constitutions, but exist under a federal system.
FIFA 16 is an association football simulation video game developed by EA Canada and published by EA Sports for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android and iOS.
The game is the first in the FIFA series to include female players. It is also the first in which the players on the covers were chosen by popular vote, including the first women to appear on the cover. Martin Tyler and Alan Smith are the commentators for the game.
The game received generally positive reviews on its release in September 2015, with writers praising its realism.
FIFA 16 includes female footballers, with 12 women's national teams: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Sweden, and the United States. Notably missing is 2015 World Cup runner-up Japan, whose federation has a partnership with rival video game company Konami (the maker of rival soccer game franchise Pro Evolution Soccer). At the time of initial release, three modes are available for the women's teams - offline friendlies (Match Day), online friendlies and a tournament mode based on the FIFA Women's World Cup.
World Cup commonly refers to:
World Cup can also refer to:
A hero (masculine or gender-neutral) or heroine (feminine) (Ancient Greek: ἥρως, hḗrōs) is a person or main character of a literary work who, in the face of danger, combats adversity through impressive feats of ingenuity, bravery or strength, often sacrificing his or her own personal concerns for some greater good.
The concept of the hero was first founded in classical literature. It is the main or revered character in heroic epic poetry celebrated through ancient legends of a people; often striving for military conquest and living by a continually flawed personal honor code. The definition of a hero has changed throughout time, and the Merriam Webster dictionary defines a hero as "a person who is admired for great or brave acts or fine qualities". Examples of heroes range from mythological figures, such as Gilgamesh, Achilles and Iphigenia, to historical figures, such as Joan of Arc and Gandhi, to modern societal heroes like Rosa Parks.
The word hero comes from the Greek ἥρως (hērōs), "hero, warrior", particularly one such as Heracles with divine ancestry or later given divine honors. (literally "protector" or "defender") Before the decipherment of Linear B the original form of the word was assumed to be *ἥρωϝ-, hērōw-; R. S. P. Beekes has proposed a Pre-Greek origin.
Argentines (Spanish: Argentinos), also called Argentinians, are the citizens of Argentina, or their descendants abroad. Argentina is a multiethnic society, which means that it is home to people of many different ethnic backgrounds. As a result, Argentines do not consider their nationality as an ethnicity but as a citizenship with various ethnicities. Aside from the Indigenous and Mestizo population, nearly all Argentines or their ancestors immigrated within the past five centuries. In fact, Argentina was the second country in the world that received the most immigrants, with 6.6 million, second only to the United States with 27 million, and ahead of countries such as Canada, Brazil, and Australia.
According to the 2010 census [INDEC], Argentina had a population of 40,091,359 inhabitants, of which 1,805,957 or 4.6%, were born abroad. The population growth rate in 2008 was estimated to be 0.917% annually, with a birth rate of 16.32 live births per 1,000 inhabitants and a mortality rate of 7.54 deaths per 1,000 inhabitants.

In the second quarter final of the Men's Hero Hockey Champions Trophy in Bhubaneswar Australia defeated Argentina 4-2 in a close encounter. Australia started quickly and took the lead after six minutes when Simon Orchard turned in following a long pass from Russell Ford with Juan Vivaldi in the Argentina goal unable to prevent the ball from going in. Argentina levelled at the start of the second quarter as Matias Paredes tapped in following an incredible run from Lucas Vila as it stayed 1-1 at half time. Manuel Brunet put Argentina ahead for the first time in the match, hitting home from close range, following a good team move but Jeremy Hayward's penalty corner put Australia on level terms once again before Daniel Beale restored Australia's advantage on 42 minutes as they took a slim l...

Travel video about destination Argentina. Argentina is the second largest country in South America and a captivating land of tango, adventure and breathtaking nature.Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and the most European city in South America with buildings that are reminiscent of bygone times. The mighty Plaza De Mayo is the historic heart of the city, along with the presidential palace, the Casa Rosada and the Catedral Metropolitana. Today the tango is performed in each corner of the city and in the nineteenth century poor immigrants from Italy and Spain settled in Buenos Aires. This explains the fiery temperament and deep melancholy that is expressed by the dances and is evident with each flick of the leg. In what was once the red light district with its whore houses of colourfu...

The classics alone make a formidable wanderlust cocktail. Just wait till you get here. Argentina Travel Video Guide Arriving in Buenos Aires is like jumping aboard a moving train. Outside the taxi window, a blurred mosaic of drab apartment blocks and haphazard architecture whizzes by as you shoot along the freeway toward the center of the city. Then the street life appears -- the cafes, the purple jacaranda flowers draped over the sidewalks ...

A Dirty Game (2002) - A documentary about the political controversy in the Netherlands and in Argentine surrounding the 1978 World Cup football in Argentine.
