As many readers have noticed the comment section is still not working properly. Since moving the site to a new server we have been having a problem with one of the databases that the site runs off of. Our tech support staff is working on fixing the issue as quickly as they can.
Hi. Several commenters have contacted us saying they are having trouble leaving comments. We don’t know why this is happening but we’re aware of the issue and are working on it with our tech support. Hopefully it will be resolved in the next couple of days. Sorry for the inconvenience!
A new batch of old comments has been re-imported back into the site going back to December 31, 2010. This included approximately 250,000 comments. Also, we understand that links are no longer appearing to commenters’ profiles showing their commenting history. We are working on restoring that. For background see here.
Mondoweiss will be down for server maintenance on Sunday, September 18 and Monday, September 19.
A new batch of old comments has been imported to the site. This one ranges from Feb 1 2014 to march 31 2014 and includes some 14,000+ comments.
We were successfully able to import comments ranging between dates 04-01-2014 to 05-01-2014 which in total ended up being around 13,000 comments.
