The dhole (Cuon alpinus) is a canid native to Central, South and Southeast Asia. Other English names for the species include Asiatic wild dog,Indian wild dog, whistling dog, red wolf (not to be confused with Canis rufus), red dog, and mountain wolf. It is genetically close to species within the genus Canis, though its skull is convex rather than concave in profile, it lacks a third lower molar, and the upper molars sport only a single cusp as opposed to 2–4. During the Pleistocene, the dhole ranged throughout Asia, Europe and North America, but became restricted to its historical range 12,000–18,000 years ago.
The dhole is a highly social animal, living in large clans without rigid dominance hierarchies and containing multiple breeding females. Such clans usually consist of 12 individuals, but groups of over 40 are known. It is a diurnal pack hunter which preferentially targets medium and large sized ungulates. In tropical forests, the dhole competes with tigers and leopards, targeting somewhat different prey species, but still with substantial dietary overlap.
Wild Dogs is an American heavy metal band from Portland, Oregon, formed loosely in 1981 by original members Jeff Mark, Danny Kurth, Matt McCourt, and Pete Holmes. The band has since released six albums, three live albums and one DVD. Wild Dogs rose to local and regional recognition in the 1980s as a pioneer of metal in the Pacific Northwest, followed by international recognition after the release of their second album.
Wild Dogs has experienced numerous line-up changes. McCourt is the only original and constant member of the band. Several attempts to reunite most of the original band members have failed, most recently in July 2010. McCourt has kept the band active for over 30 years, playing local and regional shows and international festivals with various band members. He continues to reproduce CDs and do interviews for fanzines and radio stations.
In the summer of 1981, Jeff Mark, Mick Zane, Pete Holmes and Matt McCourt teamed up to perform in Portland as the Ravers, promoting McCourt’s release of "I Was a Teenage Rock 'n' Roller" on Matchbox Records.
Wild Kratts (Stylized as WILD KRATTS) is an American-Canadian educational children's animated series created by Chris and Martin Kratt. The Kratt Brothers Company and 9 Story Media Group produce the show, which is presented by PBS in the United States. The show's aim is to educate children about biology, zoology, and ecology, and teach kids small ways to make big impacts.
The show is broadcast in the US, Latin America, Middle East, Israel, India, Spain, UK, Ireland, Germany, and Portugal.
The basic plot of an episode is usually to save the animals or an animal from a situation, be it villains, general human influence, or confusion on a baby animal's part. Most episodes focus on villains, but those that do not usually focus on some real world problem, either directly (as seen in "Stuck On Sharks" where Gourmand captured a shark for making shark fin soup) or indirectly through allegory ("Build It Beaver" had the beaver's dam destroyed repeatedly through various means; an allegory for deforestation). Additionally, some episodes aim to change the way a creature is seen—creatures that are usually considered frightening, such as bats and crocodiles.
Wild, the wild or wilds may refer to:
A national park is a park in use for conservation purposes. Often it is a reserve of natural, semi-natural, or developed land that a sovereign state declares or owns. Although individual nations designate their own national parks differently, there is a common idea: the conservation of 'wild nature' for posterity and as a symbol of national pride. An international organization, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and its World Commission on Protected Areas, has defined "National Park" as its Category II type of protected areas.
While this type of national park had been proposed previously, the United States established the first "public park or pleasuring-ground for the benefit and enjoyment of the people", Yellowstone National Park, in 1872. Although Yellowstone was not officially termed a "national park" in its establishing law, it was always termed such in practice and is widely held to be the first and oldest national park in the world. The first area to use "national park" in its creation legislation was the US's Mackinac Island, in 1875. Australia's Royal National Park, established in 1879, was the world's third official national park. In 1895 ownership of Mackinac Island was transferred to the State of Michigan as a state park and national park status was consequently lost. As a result, Australia's Royal National Park is by some considerations the second oldest national park now in existence.

A Sambar Deer calf jumps in the water besides the road hunted by a gang of Wild Dog or Dhole. The calf splashed in the water to frighten the dogs and was even counterattacking the dogs. After half an hour the Dhole lost their interest and the deer was left alone. A heroic moment.

Wildlife lover and amateur photographer Rahul Kulkarni saw a very rare sight when Group of Indian Wild dog (dhole) start feeding on alive chital deer. The sighting was frightening and it feel very bad when the deer was eaten alive. Generally wild dog and hyena start eating their caught prey alive. This is first time when we see dhole eating live prey. African wild dog and hyena have been filmed doing so. The death given by Big cats are better then by wild dogs or hyena. Since the former first kill his prey and then eat them.

Am sure many of you know about "Dhole" / "Indian Wild Dog". They are known to be successful & ruthless hunters of Indian wilderness. They are very skittish. On 14th of Sep, we were lucky to spot Dholes matting in the wild "Kabini". Came to know that the couple separated from the clan & busy preparing to form a new one.. Such a rare sighting & lucky to record. I think one more photographer among us alos recorded this. Soon in Kabini, we should see the beautiful pups.. Would love to be the lucky ones to spot them in the near future..
The bird like noise you here is actually this group of dhole. They are famous for their sound. Kolmården Zoo in Sweden, August 20th 2011.

Dholes/Indian Wild Dogs/Asian Wild Dogs are observed feeding on a Sambar kill in Tadoba National Park on 14 June, 2014.
While birdwatching with Aditya Roy in Masinagudi, just north of the Nilgiri Hills in South India, in January 2015, we were treated to spectacular views of a small pack of Indian Wild Dogs, or Dhole, Cuon alpinus. The animals ran past us and through a herd of domestic cattle, which did not seem especially troubled. The Dhole is an endangered species, with some estimates putting the total population at not more than 2,500 individuals. The stills were taken by Aditya, motion pictures by myself.
