Brian Culbertson (born January 12, 1973) is a musician and instrumentalist from Decatur, Illinois, United States. Culbertson attended Millikin University. Son of jazz band director and trumpeter Jim Culbertson, Brian's instruments include the keyboard and trombone.
Heavily influenced by funk, much of Culbertson's material is funk-based instrumental, but he has begun calling upon vocalists such as Trey Lorenz, Marc Nelson, Kenny Lattimore and Avant to add to his later pieces.

Brian Culbertson (born January 12, 1973) is an American contemporary jazz/R&B/funk musician, instrumentalist, producer and performer from Decatur, Illinois, United States. His instruments include the synthesizer, piano, trombone, drums, bass, trumpet, euphonium and percussion.
Early life and career
Brian Culbertson was born in Decatur, Illinois. As a child, he was musically skilled, having started playing piano at age 8, drums at 9, trombone at 10, bass in 7th grade, euphonium in high school and more. As a boy, he would also make his own "songs" with various equipment until he saved enough money for a 14" color monitor and Macintosh IIci.
Growing up, he listened to Sting, The Yellowjackets, George Duke, David Foster, Marcus Miller, David Sanborn, Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire. He attended and graduated MacArthur High School, where his father was a music teacher. He then moved to Chicago where he attended DePaul University. It was in college that he actually started working on a CD, gathering a group of musicians, recording a demo tape and sending it to the only person he knew in Los Angeles, Bud Harner, who would get him his first record deal.

Brian (sometimes spelled Bryan) is a male given name of Irish and Breton origin, as well as a surname of Occitan origin. It is common in the English-speaking world. It is possible that the name is derived from an Old Celtic word meaning "high" or "noble". For example, the element bre means "hill"; which could be transferred to mean "eminence" or "exalted one". The name is quite popular in Ireland, on account of Brian Boru, a 10th-century king of Ireland. The name was also quite popular in East Anglia during the Middle Ages. This is because the name was introduced to England by Bretons following the Norman Conquest. Bretons also settled in Ireland along with the Normans in the 12th century, and 'their' name was mingled with the 'Irish' version. Also, in the north-west of England, the 'Irish' name was introduced by Scandinavian settlers from Ireland. My Mind is a 7-inch vinyl EP from Portugal. The Man. It was put out right after Church Mouth and includes "My Mind" as the A-side, which was featured on Church Mouth. A song exclusive to this release is the Church Mouth B-side "Seventeen". This Single has only been released on 7-inch vinyl. The Single was only available at tour stops in Germany in late 2007, however left over copies have been sold on Portugal. The Man's most recent tour for $10.00 USD. No digital or compact disc releases of this album have been discussed.

Every night, a premium musical show with the best of the best of the smooth jazz world. Believe or not the first night was one my favorite nights at the cruise. Two shows back to back with Kirk Whalum and my guest on this interview the great pianist, trombonist and multi instrumentalist jazz musician Brian Culbertson with whom I have the honor speak one to one on board of the luxurious Navigator Of The Seas while we stop at the beautiful Mykonos, Greece.
On this occasion Brian tell us about the Royal treatment by Dave Koz and his production stuff. His reencounter with himself on the remaking of his memorable first CD "Long Night Out". Now "Another Long Night Out" the remaking and why the beautiful decision of redoing this album once again this time reuniting most of the jazz artists that inspired him to me make this record almost 20 years ago.
"Another Long Night Out" second version will be release on February, 2014.
