Background[edit]

Background information[edit]

Hertha BSC finished the 2013–14 Bundesliga in eleventh place, thus ensuring a place in the 2014–15 Bundesliga.[1] Tolga Ciğerci[2] and Jens Hegeler[3] transferred to Hertha. Adrián Ramos[4] and Maik Franz left Hertha.[5] Levan Kobiashvili retired after the 2013–14 season.[6]

On 5 February 2015, Hertha sacked Jos Luhukay,[7] naming Pál Dárdai as replacement along with assistant Rainer Widmayer.[8] Hertha had lost 1–0[7] the previous day.
