METROPOLITAN ROUTE SERVICES

Dysons operate a fleet of low floor (Wheelchair accessible) vehicles over the majority of our metropolitan routes, giving easy access to passengers with disability aids such as:

• Wheelchairs
• Mobility Scooters
• Walking Frames
• Walking Sticks

If travelling with a Wheelchair or a Mobility Scooter it needs to:

• Fit within an allocated space of 1300mm (length) and 800mm (width)
• Be no more than 750mm wide at a height of 300mm above the ground. The total weight of the mobility aid, its user and any attendant must be less than 300kg.

You may be unable to travel if your mobility aid exceeds these standard wheelchair dimensions (1300mm long x 800mm wide).

The Low Floor Vehicles also allow for easy access for the Blind and Hearing Impaired.

Guide dogs, hearing guide dogs and guide dogs in training can travel free on all public transport services.

V/LINE SERVICES

Dysons operate a fleet of modern toilet equipped coaches over an extensive V/Line Network. Some V/Line Coaches are accessible to Wheelchairs.

Again the following conditions apply:

• Fit within an allocated space of 1300mm (length) and 800mm (width)
• Be no more than 750mm wide at a height of 300mm above the ground

Guide dogs, hearing guide dogs, guide dogs in training and approved assistance animals are permitted on all V/Line services. Our coach drivers can offer assistance during the journey.

You may be unable to travel if your mobility aid exceeds these standard wheelchair dimensions (1300mm long x 800mm wide).

Bookings for passengers using wheelchairs or scooters on V/Line rail and coach services are required at least 24 hours in advance.
