The Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA), and its educational unit TCDLEI, has created a relief fund to help fellow criminal defense lawyers affected by Harvey. Donations will be used to help attorneys continue their practice and to defray costs of continuing legal education and replacing legal publications and educational materials. The Collateral Consequences Resource Center and its partner organizations, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Legal Aid and Defender Association, and the National HIRE Network, are pleased to announce the launch of the newly expanded and fully updated Restoration of Rights Project.

The report assesses recent court decisions evaluating the government’s use of the controversial hacking technique and makes recommendations for the most promising avenues to have evidence suppressed.

Based on the findings of NACDL’s Body Camera Task Force, this report offers the perspective of the criminal defense bar and provides recommendations to protect the rights of the accused in body camera jurisdictions.
