They prepared 2 machines, stock NINJA H2R and H2R tuned by TRICK STAR, specializes in manufacturing custom parts (ex. exhausts) and is attending the Japan Road Race Championship.
Finally, they made over 350km/h. At first, the 400km/h challenge sounded like a joke. But this test ride gave it a sense of reality...

Licensee is required to give legal credit to the Music Producer of the licensed NE beat and ModernBeats, Inc. (parent company to BuyaBeat.com) as Music Producer -- ModernBeats Inc. BuyaBeat remains the sole copyright holder of any materials that are uniquely BuyaBeat's, including any additional unique musical production added to the NE beat Recordings listed above, contributed specifically by BuyaBeat or in which BuyaBeat significantly added to said musical compositions under this agreement. Parties therefore agree that while BuyaBeat's instrumental NE beat Recordings are a unique and integral part of the aforesaid Recordings, the uniqueness of said NE beat Recordings are also an integral part of BuyaBeat's musical persona and as such, BuyaBeat.com reserves the right to use and/or sell the aforesaid instrumental compositions for other recordings outside of this agreement and without the Licensee's permission.
4. With the Business License, you may use BuyaBeat's royalty free NE beats Recordings for commericial ventures (for-profit) such as Recording Artist Albums, Radio Singles, Radio Rotation, Television Theme Music, Television Broadcast, Internet Multimedia, Gaming Multimedia, and Film/DVD Soundtracks. If you use BuyaBeat's music for any of the purposes listed above, you are required by law to purchase a Business License directly from BuyaBeat.com before the venture commences.
5. BuyaBeat and Licensee acknowledge that this agreement between them may not cover every situation and circumstance that may arise in the future concerning the Recordings. In such event, BuyaBeat and Licensee agree to discuss and negotiate any such situation or circumstance in good faith, toward the goal of reaching a mutually satisfactory resolution thereof, consistent with the spirit and intent of this agreement. BuyaBeat and Licensee agree to submit any dispute between them that cannot be resolved by good faith discussion and negotiation for binding arbitration to the American Arbitration Association, said arbitration to be conducted in all respects in accordance with the rules and regulations of said Association.
6. This is the entire agreement between BuyaBeat and Licensee with respect to the subject matter hereof. All additions to, and amendments of, this agreement must be in writing and signed by both BuyaBeat and Licensee. This agreement shall be binding upon, and inure to the benefit of the successors, assigns, heirs and personal representatives of BuyaBeat and Licensee.

V speeds
In aviation, V-speeds (from velocity) are standard terms used to define airspeeds important or useful to the operation of all aircraft. These speeds are derived from data obtained by aircraft designers and manufacturers during flight testing and verified in most countries by government flight inspectors during aircraft type-certification testing. Using them is considered a best practice to maximize aviation safety, aircraft performance or both.
The actual speeds represented by these designators are specific to a particular model of aircraft. They are expressed by the aircraft's indicated airspeed (and not by, for example, the ground speed), so that pilots may use them directly, without having to apply correction factors, as aircraft instruments also show indicated airspeed.

I conducted another entirely non-scientific test to see what the speed of lenses means for a bunch of lenses I own. What does it mean when a manufacturer claims that a lens has a maximum aperture of 1.2? I guess it means only what it means to our eyes. So I took 8 lenses that are supposedly 'fast' and shot wide open with very dim light. You get an idea how the different lenses fare in low light, and how they fare in comparison to one another. It is an unfair comparison in most cases. You can only compare a 50mm 1.4 against another 50mm 1.4. (which I did) But I also threw in my 25mm 1.4, just because it's a 1.4... I lined up film lenses, TV lenses, FD, M42 and C-mount, all of them under f2.0 The one question that remains is: Is there an institution verifying claims of lens-speeds by manufacturers? The Speed of Lenses
I conducted another entirely non-scientific test to see what the speed of lenses means for a bunch of lenses I own. What does it mean when a manufacturer claims that a lens has a maximum aperture of 1.2? I guess it means only what it means to our eyes. So I took 8 lenses that are supposedly 'fast' and shot wide open with very dim light. You get an idea how the different lenses fare in low light, and how they fare in comparison to one another. It is an unfair comparison in most cases. You can only compare a 50mm 1.4 against another 50mm 1.4. (which I did) But I also threw in my 25mm 1.4, just because it's a 1.4... Sachtler Speed Level Clamp I have used Sachtler tripods for more than 20 years. In my honest opinion for news and documentary work you cannot beat them. At NAB earlier this year i stumbled across the Sachtler Speed Level Clamp. It was my favourite product from NAB this year. This may sound strange given how many products are at NAB but in the real world this product was something that I could see myself using on a daily basis. While it didn’t receive much fan fair when I first saw it on the show floor my immediate reaction was “Why hasn’t someone done this before?”. For the past few years, SnapRoll Media has been at the forefront of remotely controlled aerial camera systems. Like most, we started out using DSLR cameras to record video, but it wasn’t long before the image quality wasn’t up to our standards. We began designing and building larger airframes to carry the weight of the cameras we and our clients wanted to use.
Our hard work paid off. We were the first to successfully carry the RED ONE digital cinema camera safely and smoothly. Then, we added Vision Research’s Phantom Flex and Phantom Gold high speed cameras to our arsenal. Furthermore, we had the opportunity to be the first in the world to successfully fly the new RED EPIC on our proven remote controlled aerial system thanks to Jarred Land and Jim Jannard.
We are constantly researching, developing, and fine tuning our helicopters to carry larger cameras with maximum stability. The greatest reward is seeing our clients' faces when we get the shot that no crane, cable cam, or full size helicopter was able to capture. 2012 will be full of incredible projects along with further R&D; on bigger and better remotely controlled (RPV) aerial camera systems. I conducted another entirely non-scientific test to see what the speed of lenses means for a bunch of lenses I own. What does it mean when a manufacturer claims that a lens has a maximum aperture of 1.2? I guess it means only what it means to our eyes.
So I took 8 lenses that are supposedly 'fast' and shot wide open with very dim light. You get an idea how the different lenses fare in low light, and how they fare in comparison to one another.
It is an unfair comparison in most cases. You can only compare a 50mm 1.4 against another 50mm 1.4. (which I did) But I also threw in my 25mm 1.4, just because it's a 1.4...
I lined up film lenses, TV lenses, FD, M42 and C-mount, all of them under f2.0
The one question that remains is: Is there an institution verifying claims of lens-speeds by manufacturers? (in other words: how do we know what we're paying for?)

I have used Sachtler tripods for more than 20 years. In my honest opinion for news and documentary work you cannot beat them. At NAB earlier this year i stumbled across the Sachtler Speed Level Clamp. It was my favourite product from NAB this year. This may sound strange given how many products are at NAB but in the real world this product was something that I could see myself using on a daily basis. While it didn’t receive much fan fair when I first saw it on the show floor my immediate reaction was “Why hasn’t someone done this before?”. As a news and documentary shooter I can be adjusting my tripod legs and tripod head at least 50-100 times a day depending on the job. This all takes valuable time. If you for example adjusted your tripod head 50 times a day and it took you an average of 10 seconds to do it each time, that is 8 minutes a day your spending adjusting your tripod head. Event, news and documentary shooters know that speed is key when doing your job. Being able to adjust your tripod quickly and efficiently can sometimes mean the difference between getting a shot and missing it. I know from personal experience that I have missed shots because I was still trying to level off a tripod head. To solve these problems Sachtler released the Speed Level Clamp. Now while there was nothing wrong with their old system, the SpeedLevel Clamp gives you the ability to level your tripod head very quickly and gives you the added piece of mind that it won’t slip. The Sachtler SpeedLevel Clamp is designed with squeeze handles that let you accurately and easily level your fluid head, Instead of the traditional method of twisting and untwisting, the SpeedLevel Clamp loosens the head position when you squeeze the handles and sets the head in place the moment you release the squeeze.
The SpeedLevel Clamp is compatible with all Sachtler 100mm heads and supports a maximum weight of 55 lb. (Third-party heads may not be compatible because a Sachtler 10mm thread is required. The Speed Level Clamp retails for $144.00 and can supper weights of up to 55lb. Currently it is only available for use with Sachtler 100mm heads but It will be interesting to see if they make different versions for other tripod heads in their range.

For those who do not know, auroras are caused by solar activity. This is shortly visualized in the video. Our suns activity varies in 11 year cycles, and we are closing solar maximum (solar max) for our current solar cycle somewhere between 2012-2013, and solar activity with corresponding auroral activity has clearly been picking up. The beginning of 2011 was lots of clouds but weather improved late 2011 and out 2012. This video contains recordings from some of the most spectacular auroral displays I have ever witnessed, and I have seen a few.
For this video I did shoot approx 150.000 exposures from sept.2011 - april.2012 using Canon DSLR's and various wide angle lenses. Approx 6.000 frames in this video. To achieve pannings I used the fantastic Stage Zero + MX2 controller time-lapse gear from Dynamic Perception.
The video is a merge of two parts; the first part contains some more wild and aggressive auroras, as well as a few milky way sequences, hence either auroras are moving fast because they are, or they are fast due to motion of the milky way / stars. Still, some of the strait up shots are very close to real-time speed, although auroras mostly are slower, she can also be FAST! The second part has some more slow and majestic auroras, where I have focused more on composition and foreground. The music should give you a clear indication of where you are :)
Again, choosing what sequences to use was a battle, and many good sequences will have to wait for a later project I am working on ;) - More info about this will be announced on my facebook site. http://facebook.com/arcticlightphoto
This video summarizes the end of a hectic aurora season for me, and my last shots was done only a few days ago. However now the late sunlight is making it hard to shoot the auroras at night up here, so I decided enough was enough for now, and time to release the video.
I have driven thousands of km between locations up here in the arctic this season, and while on location(s) I was running between 2-3 cameras like a madman, and almost every sequence you see in this video also has been shot using circular fish-eye optics, for yet another project to come. Luckily I had some good company on many of the cold nights.

Aerial Filming took a giant leap forward when Swedish aerial specialist, Peter Degerfeldt at Blue Sky www.bluesky.se challenged Gyro-stabilized Systems in Grass Valley, US, to build a GSS 520 5 axis system that would produce rock solid images at a speed of more than 300 knots..
Blue Sky’s client, the Swedish company Saab Defence and Security, required high end motion and stills for their multirole fighter Gripen. http://www.gripen.com
Normally, all stabilization systems on the market are approved for helicopters, and thus a speed of maximum 125 to 135 knots.
Saab required at least 300 knots for their filming and stills projects.
GSS took on the challenge, and on a cold mid winter day, north of the arctic circle in Sweden, the Blue Sky team mounted the brand new GSS 520 on to the weapon station of a jetfighter.
Suspended in the Gyro was a Red Dragon 6K mounted with a Canon 30-300m lens.
We chose that particular lens as it provided the shortest snout.
No cables, between the Gyro and the cockpit, were used.
Aerial DP Peter Degerfeldt was flying in the backseat of the Saab 105, operating the Gyro via modem.
Picture was transmitted via the Paralinx Tomahawk HD inside the cockpit to a Atomos 7” recorder/monitor.
Despite the fact it was -20C (-4 F ) on ground and probably much colder in the air, everything went flawlessly.
"Our philosophy is to push bounderys in everything we do, In this case we needed to do both still photography and footage at the same time to maximise outcome. One advantage with this system is that we can fly in speeds where Gripen flies more naturally says Jonas Tillgren, Brand and marketing manager At Saab"

Finally, "After two sorties with the jet, we mounted the same system on our helicopter. Within 15 minutes we were airborne again shooting the Gripen jetfighters starting, landing and orbiting the chopper."

Picture was transmitted via the Paralinx Tomahawk HD inside the cockpit to a Atomos 7” recorder/monitor.
Despite the fact it was -20C (-4 F ) on ground and probably much colder in the air, everything went flawlessly.

The Speed of Lenses
I conducted another entirely non-scientific test to see what the speed of lenses means for a bunch of lenses I own. What does it mean when a manufacturer claims that a lens has a maximum aperture of 1.2? I guess it means only what it means to our eyes. So I took 8 lenses that are supposedly 'fast' and shot wide open with very dim light. You get an idea how the different lenses fare in low light, and how they fare in comparison to one another. It is an unfair comparison in most cases. You can only compare a 50mm 1.4 against another 50mm 1.4. (which I did) But I also threw in my 25mm 1.4, just because it's a 1.4... Sachtler Speed Level Clamp I have used Sachtler tripods for more than 20 years. In my honest opinion for news and documentary work you cannot beat them. At NAB earlier this year i stumbled across the Sachtler Speed Level Clamp. It was my favourite product from NAB this year. This may sound strange given how many products are at NAB but in the real world this product was something that I could see myself using on a daily basis. While it didn’t receive much fan fair when I first saw it on the show floor my immediate reaction was “Why hasn’t someone done this before?”. For the past few years, SnapRoll Media has been at the forefront of remotely controlled aerial camera systems. Like most, we started out using DSLR cameras to record video, but it wasn’t long before the image quality wasn’t up to our standards. We began designing and building larger airframes to carry the weight of the cameras we and our clients wanted to use.
Our hard work paid off. We were the first to successfully carry the RED ONE digital cinema camera safely and smoothly. Then, we added Vision Research’s Phantom Flex and Phantom Gold high speed cameras to our arsenal. Furthermore, we had the opportunity to be the first in the world to successfully fly the new RED EPIC on our proven remote controlled aerial system thanks to Jarred Land and Jim Jannard.
We are constantly researching, developing, and fine tuning our helicopters to carry larger cameras with maximum stability. The greatest reward is seeing our clients' faces when we get the shot that no crane, cable cam, or full size helicopter was able to capture. 2012 will be full of incredible projects along with further R&D; on bigger and better remotely controlled (RPV) aerial camera systems. I conducted another entirely non-scientific test to see what the speed of lenses means for a bunch of lenses I own. What does it mean when a manufacturer claims that a lens has a maximum aperture of 1.2? I guess it means only what it means to our eyes.
So I took 8 lenses that are supposedly 'fast' and shot wide open with very dim light. You get an idea how the different lenses fare in low light, and how they fare in comparison to one another.
It is an unfair comparison in most cases. You can only compare a 50mm 1.4 against another 50mm 1.4. (which I did) But I also threw in my 25mm 1.4, just because it's a 1.4...
I lined up film lenses, TV lenses, FD, M42 and C-mount, all of them under f2.0
The one question that remains is: Is there an institution verifying claims of lens-speeds by manufacturers? (in other words: how do we know what we're paying for?)

I have used Sachtler tripods for more than 20 years. In my honest opinion for news and documentary work you cannot beat them. At NAB earlier this year i stumbled across the Sachtler Speed Level Clamp. It was my favourite product from NAB this year. This may sound strange given how many products are at NAB but in the real world this product was something that I could see myself using on a daily basis. While it didn’t receive much fan fair when I first saw it on the show floor my immediate reaction was “Why hasn’t someone done this before?”. As a news and documentary shooter I can be adjusting my tripod legs and tripod head at least 50-100 times a day depending on the job. This all takes valuable time. If you for example adjusted your tripod head 50 times a day and it took you an average of 10 seconds to do it each time, that is 8 minutes a day your spending adjusting your tripod head. Event, news and documentary shooters know that speed is key when doing your job. Being able to adjust your tripod quickly and efficiently can sometimes mean the difference between getting a shot and missing it. I know from personal experience that I have missed shots because I was still trying to level off a tripod head. To solve these problems Sachtler released the Speed Level Clamp. Now while there was nothing wrong with their old system, the SpeedLevel Clamp gives you the ability to level your tripod head very quickly and gives you the added piece of mind that it won’t slip. The Sachtler SpeedLevel Clamp is designed with squeeze handles that let you accurately and easily level your fluid head, Instead of the traditional method of twisting and untwisting, the SpeedLevel Clamp loosens the head position when you squeeze the handles and sets the head in place the moment you release the squeeze.
The SpeedLevel Clamp is compatible with all Sachtler 100mm heads and supports a maximum weight of 55 lb. (Third-party heads may not be compatible because a Sachtler 10mm thread is required. The Speed Level Clamp retails for $144.00 and can supper weights of up to 55lb. Currently it is only available for use with Sachtler 100mm heads but It will be interesting to see if they make different versions for other tripod heads in their range.

For those who do not know, auroras are caused by solar activity. This is shortly visualized in the video. Our suns activity varies in 11 year cycles, and we are closing solar maximum (solar max) for our current solar cycle somewhere between 2012-2013, and solar activity with corresponding auroral activity has clearly been picking up. The beginning of 2011 was lots of clouds but weather improved late 2011 and out 2012. This video contains recordings from some of the most spectacular auroral displays I have ever witnessed, and I have seen a few.
For this video I did shoot approx 150.000 exposures from sept.2011 - april.2012 using Canon DSLR's and various wide angle lenses. Approx 6.000 frames in this video. To achieve pannings I used the fantastic Stage Zero + MX2 controller time-lapse gear from Dynamic Perception.
The video is a merge of two parts; the first part contains some more wild and aggressive auroras, as well as a few milky way sequences, hence either auroras are moving fast because they are, or they are fast due to motion of the milky way / stars. Still, some of the strait up shots are very close to real-time speed, although auroras mostly are slower, she can also be FAST! The second part has some more slow and majestic auroras, where I have focused more on composition and foreground. The music should give you a clear indication of where you are :)
Again, choosing what sequences to use was a battle, and many good sequences will have to wait for a later project I am working on ;) - More info about this will be announced on my facebook site. http://facebook.com/arcticlightphoto
This video summarizes the end of a hectic aurora season for me, and my last shots was done only a few days ago. However now the late sunlight is making it hard to shoot the auroras at night up here, so I decided enough was enough for now, and time to release the video.
I have driven thousands of km between locations up here in the arctic this season, and while on location(s) I was running between 2-3 cameras like a madman, and almost every sequence you see in this video also has been shot using circular fish-eye optics, for yet another project to come. Luckily I had some good company on many of the cold nights.

Aerial Filming took a giant leap forward when Swedish aerial specialist, Peter Degerfeldt at Blue Sky www.bluesky.se challenged Gyro-stabilized Systems in Grass Valley, US, to build a GSS 520 5 axis system that would produce rock solid images at a speed of more than 300 knots..
Blue Sky’s client, the Swedish company Saab Defence and Security, required high end motion and stills for their multirole fighter Gripen. http://www.gripen.com
Normally, all stabilization systems on the market are approved for helicopters, and thus a speed of maximum 125 to 135 knots.
Saab required at least 300 knots for their filming and stills projects.
GSS took on the challenge, and on a cold mid winter day, north of the arctic circle in Sweden, the Blue Sky team mounted the brand new GSS 520 on to the weapon station of a jetfighter.
Suspended in the Gyro was a Red Dragon 6K mounted with a Canon 30-300m lens.
We chose that particular lens as it provided the shortest snout.
No cables, between the Gyro and the cockpit, were used.
Aerial DP Peter Degerfeldt was flying in the backseat of the Saab 105, operating the Gyro via modem.
Picture was transmitted via the Paralinx Tomahawk HD inside the cockpit to a Atomos 7” recorder/monitor.
Despite the fact it was -20C (-4 F ) on ground and probably much colder in the air, everything went flawlessly.

I could zoom all the way in at 300mm, still rock solid at 300 knots; that’s pretty brutal. We tried to provoke the gyro with high speeds, banking, pulling 2.5 Gs, even during a roll it was rock steady."
Finally, "After two sorties with the jet, we mounted the same system on our helicopter. Within 15 minutes we were airborne again shooting the Gripen jetfighters starting, landing and orbiting the chopper."
