Lumix is Panasonic's brand of digital cameras, ranging from pocket point-and-shoot models to digital SLRs.
Compact digital cameras DMC-LC5 and DMC-F7 were the first products of the Lumix series, released in 2001. They are equipped with Leica lenses.
Indeed, many Lumix models are fitted with Leica lenses (e.g. Nocticron or Elmarit lenses), designed by Leica's German optical engineers, and are assembled in Japan. Others are rebranded as Leica cameras with different cosmetic stylings. Leica had a similar relationship with Minolta in the past, where late model Leica SLRs (and some 35 mm point-and-shoot models) were strongly based on Minolta bodies.
Most Lumix cameras use differing releases of the Panasonic Venus Engine for digital image processing; the original version (2002) was followed by II (2004), Plus (2005), III (2006), IV (2008), HD, V (2009), and VI, HD II, FHD (2010).
Panasonic produces most of Leica's branded digital point and shoot cameras in Japan, but not film cameras, the Leica M8 or Leica M9 digital rangefinder cameras, the X1 and X2 digital cameras or the Digital Modul R digital camera back for the Leica R9 film SLR.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G6 is a Micro Four Thirds system camera made by Panasonic Lumix. The highest-resolution pictures it can record is 16.05 megapixels and the sensor is a Live MOS The camera is not a direct replacement of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G5, but set in between the G5 and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3.
The body only dimension of Lumix G6 is relatively same with the smallest and lightest model of DSLR with an APS-C sensor Canon EOS 100D, but certainly Lumix G6 has smaller lenses. Lumix G6 has also built-in Panorama mode, focus-peaking for video as videocam, interval shooting, time lapse movies, while Canon EOS 100D has not.
The Panasonic G7 was announced on May 18th, 2015. The camera features 16 MP Live MOS Sensor in combination with Venus Engine 9 Image Processor, with the help of newly developed image processor and the sensor the camera can shoot continuous shots to 8 fps Shooting with AF & ISO 25600. Panasonic G7 also supports 4K video recording at 30/24 fps, Built-In Wi-Fi Connectivity is also there for wireless sharing of files.
Panasonic Corporation (パナソニック株式会社, Panasonikku Kabushiki-gaisha), formerly known as Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (松下電器産業株式会社, Matsushita Denki Sangyō Kabushiki-gaisha), is a Japanese multinational electronics corporation headquartered in Kadoma, Osaka, Japan.
The company was founded in 1918 and has grown to become one of the largest Japanese electronics producers alongside Sony, Hitachi, Toshiba and Canon Inc. In addition to electronics, it offers non-electronic products and services such as home renovation services. Panasonic is the world's fourth-largest television manufacturer by 2012 market share.
Panasonic has a primary listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the Nikkei 225 and TOPIX indices. It has a secondary listing on the Nagoya Stock Exchange.
From 1935 to October 1, 2008, the company name was "Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd." On January 10, 2008, the company announced that it would change its name to "Panasonic Corporation", in effect on October 1, 2008, to conform with its global brand name "Panasonic". The name change was approved at a shareholders' meeting on June 26, 2008 after consultation with the Matsushita family.
The Canon EOS 100D, known as the EOS Rebel SL1 in the Americas and EOS Kiss X7 in Japan, is an 18.0-megapixel digital single-lens reflex camera announced by Canon on 21 March 2013. It has been described as the "world's smallest and lightest DSLR camera", either currently in production or in the APS-C format. Canon uses a smaller version of the APS-C sensor format than some other manufacturers including Nikon, Pentax, and Sony, with a crop factor of 1.6 rather than 1.5. It weighs 407 grams including battery and memory card.
The EOS 100D shares a similar set of features with the larger Canon EOS 700D. However, it does have an improved focus tracking system in live view mode called Hybrid CMOS AF II with 80% frame coverage. The 700D has the previous version of Hybrid CMOS AF with much reduced frame coverage.

Panasonic has used a mini-DSLR style for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G6, and unlike many compact system cameras, it has a viewfinder built in, though the mirrorless design naturally means that this is an electronic device. Here Angela Nicholson takes a look at what the Panasonic G6 has to offer, for more details and sample images check out http://www.techradar.com/reviews/cameras-and-camcorders/cameras/digital-slrs-hybrids/panasonic-g6-1146084/review

In this video I speak about why I purchased the Panasonic Lumix G6 micro four-thirds digital camera. Buy from Amazon USA: http://amzn.to/1FqrDXj Buy from Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/1INh0lb The video was shot using the Panasonic G6. It was the first time I had used the camera since unboxing it a few days ago, therefore everything was in auto mode (which is why there were some times auto-focus was messing up). Still, not bad for my first ever take on the camera :) No external microphone was used with the camera. The audio you hear is coming directly from the camera's built-in stereo microphone. I wanted to do this so that we could listen to the quality of its in-built cameras. In future, I will probably be hooking up an external microphone to improve audio at all times. I hope you enjoye...

Preis: vermutlich 650 Euro (ohne Objektiv)
Panasonic Lumix G6 Camera Review Video - Compact System Camera SUBSCRIBE HERE: http://bit.ly/T4Pu6p The Panasonic G6 camera is a continuation of a successful series of Compact System Cameras (CSCs). Panasonic lit the fuse with the first ever Compact System Camera when it announced the Lumix G1 back in 2008. With a wide selection of models now available to appeal to anyone from those looking for an easy to use alternative to a compact right up to professionals, Panasonic's single-digit range of G-Series cameras has always been aimed towards DSLR users looking for a more compact alternative. The question is - does the arrival of the Panasonic Lumix G6 camera do enough to tempt you away from a Canon EOS 700D or Nikon D5200?
