Freddie King - Getting Ready (1971)

Here you have a blue blast folks. Freddie King has that dive bomb vibrato thing going on on his blues leads that sound like a more monstrous fuzzed out version of what the more clean cut BB King does. Freddie has an approch to vocals that are kind of a mix of an angry wild bear meets Billy Thorpe or Leslie West, which is mind blowing. Freddie King does a kick ass cover of Molochs gem Going Down..a must hear! Enjoy this killer album. Have a great summer folks.

Saint Vitus - Born Too Late (1986)

Been listening a lot to Doom metal from the 80's Doom metal scene. In a sea of Judas Priest wanna bes and speed merchants, a bunch of bands like Trouble, Saint Vitus and Pentagram were releasing Lead heavy slow 1970's style heavy rock albums. A total opposite to the 1980's ingeneral. These bands basically kept the Heavy rock of the 60's and 70's living during the plastic decade known as the 80's.

Born to Late is a total classic and showcases a band at their peak. On this album Vitus got Wino Weinrich from The Obessed whose vocals have a rawer gruff edge that suits Vitus brand of slow Heavy rock great.  Today, Saint Vitus is a an established name in the scene but in the day they struggled in the underground,  but they stuck to their guns and conquered. Enjoy this gem.

Sense Of Blue Cream (SWE)

This is a unsigned band from SWE that really rocks my boat. If you take Cream, Mountain and Lobby Loyd and Coloured Balls and played equally great and with same originality this is for you. Anders Andrehn Guitar and vocals does a stellar job, raw gruff vocals and great raw heavy guitar. Ronny Eriksson (Magnolia) Bass doing heavy fluent bassruns and Anders Hedström drums. Why aren't they signed you ask..? Well general stupidity of labels aside, they play covers.. Cream and Mountain covers. But how they play them and the quality and originality of the playing should get them signed yesterday. SOBC are regulars at Åmal Blues festival (West coast of SWE)  and here I include a live track of them playing Crossroads. Labels get ya proverbial thumb out of your asses and give these guys a go. I love them and have so for years now. Support them and spread the word!
Rock ever on folks.

David Allan Coe - 18 X rated hits (1990)

Hello everybody.. This time ya all get country.. But dread not this is a gem you will appreciate even if not being too fond of this genre in general. This guy is a true no holds barred honest underground outlaw who doesn't give a shit or take any shit from anybody. Here you get some good tunes with outrageous lyrics that you either love or hate. Not for folks with a stick up their asses or other pretentious fuckers, so be warned. Have a blast with this goodie. Have a great summer!
