A married health teacher from Maine has been indicted on multiple sexual assault charges after being accused of repeatedly having sex with her 17-year-old student. Jill Lamontagne (left in arrest photo and right with her husband and son), 29, has been charged with six counts of gross sexual assault, two counts of unlawful sexual contact, and six counts of sexual abuse of a minor in Kennebunk on Wednesday. The mother-of-two was released on $1,000 bail and is scheduled to be in York County Superior Court on December 22. The claims against her came to light in mid-June after the alleged victim attempted to commit suicide.

Anti-abortion GOP congressman Tim Murphy (left), of Pennsylvania, has announced he is retiring at the end of his term next year in the wake that he asked his mistress to get an abortion when he thought she was pregnant. Text messages between Shannon Edwards (right), a forensic psychologist in Pittsburgh, show Edwards asking Murphy how he can privately ask her to obtain an abortion while publicly opposing the procedure.

Simpson entered the store however then a number of young fans when he entered the store however, and soon after was posing for his very first selfie. One of those young men shared his photo with Simpson, writing: 'Simpson randomly in a Verizon store because of course he needs to get his Instagram right.'

Professional football quarterback Cam Newton came under fire on Wednesday after he appeared to dismiss a female reporter's question based on her gender. During a Carolina Panther's press conference at Bank of America Stadium, Newton was asked a routine question about offensive schemes by the Charlotte Observer's Jourdan Rodrigue (right). Newton, in reply, appeared to condescend to the female reporter, saying: 'It's funny to hear a female talk about routes.' Newton then takes a pause before repeating 'it's funny.'

The 51-year-old supermodel let Vogue into her Malibu home for a 360° camera tour of her massive closet, including a look at her most cherished pieces. Among the items shown are the denim cut-off shorts she wore for her 1992 Pepsi commercial and the simple white John Galliano slip dress she was married in.

Corianne Langdon, 58, a cab driver in Sin City for the past six years, was approaching the Mandalay Bay Hotel on Sunday evening when she got the report from dispatch of 'multiple shots fired'. Recording on her cellphone, Langdon captured the sound of repeated bursts of automatic gunfire as Stephen Paddock, 64, opened fire on a crowd of thousands at the 91 Route Harvest Festival from his Mandalay Hotel room, killing 58. But the video also recorded the eerie sense of calm outside the hotel as people were slow to realize what was happening, even as gunfire rang out overhead.

The concertgoers were left to die among a field of crushed beer cans and abandoned flip-flops and cowboy hats. Meanwhile, another recently released video shows the panicked crowd fleeing the field. The 64-year-old gunman opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest Festival from his room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay before committing suicide. The shooting has eclipsed the Pulse nightclub massacre as the deadliest in U.S. history.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that meeting Las Vegas doctors and the mass-shooting survivors they have been treating made him 'proud to be an American.' And he revealed that he invited many of them to visit him at the White House. 'I just met some of the most amazing people,' he told reporters at University Medical Center. 'We met patients that were absolutely terribly wounded.' The president later embraced the role of consoler-in-chief, speaking to America's collective sadness through a bank of TV cameras. 'Our souls are stricken with grief for every American who lost a husband or a wife, a mother or a father, a son or a daughter. We know that your sorrow feels endless,' Trump said. 'We stand together to help you carry your pain. You're not alone. We will never leave your side.'

The mystery man at the center of one of the most haunting images from the Las Vegas massacre has been revealed as a young US Army soldier. Matthew Cobos was photographed on Sunday night lying on top of a young woman in an attempt to shield her from the barrage of bullets tearing through the air around them. DailyMail.com understand Cobos also covered the blonde woman's eyes in a bid to stop her from seeing the carnage around them. Moments later, Cobos and the woman got up and they ran to safety behind a nearby car. Once Cobos got the woman to safety, he then ran back into the danger zone to help others who had been injured.

Grinning tourists were pictured in the back of one of the vehicles which was laid on  by Battlefield Vegas, a shooting range which offers group experiences including the SWAT package at $159 per person. With every group package, customers are offered a free ride in the Humvee to and from the range which is less than four miles from where gunman Stephen Paddock slaughtered 59 people and injured 527 with a haul of semi-automatic guns on Sunday night.

Three of President Donald Trump’s (middle inset) top cabinet secretaries have reportedly formed a ‘suicide pact’ whereby all of them would resign in the event their boss scapegoats any one of them, it was learned on Wednesday. The ‘pact’ has been agreed to by Secretary of State Rex Tillerson (left), Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis (bottom right), and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin (top right), according to BuzzFeed. Tillerson’s future as secretary of state was the subject of intense speculation on Wednesday in light of claims that he has had a major falling out with the president.

Farmer Frederik van Wijk, from the Netherlands, was being interviewed on the Dutch TV show Expeditie Grunnen in which presenters search the country for wacky subjects. In the clip, he lets out a laugh that sounds exactly like one of his own chickens. The TV host then erupts into a fit of giggles as well. The funny video has now been viewed thousands of times since being uploaded to Facebook.

The Snake Hunter asked his fans to become the hunters, and try to find the snake he spotted on one of his adventures in South Morang, Victoria. He posted the picture to Facebook with the caption: 'Can you spot the venomous snake?'

Nude Yoga Girl (center), who has not revealed her name online, has accumulated more than 660,000 Instagram followers in two years by posting photos of herself practicing yoga in the nude. The 26-year-old model's pictures, which have found artistic ways around the social media platform's nudity policy, have now inspired people around the world (pictured top left, top right, bottom right and bottom left) to follow suit under the hashtag NYGyoga, created by Nude Yoga Girl herself. 'The way you look doesn't matter — anybody can see faults and have that feeling of not liking themselves,' the model said during a previous interview. 'With my account I want to inspire people to realize that everybody is very beautiful and capable of [doing] amazing things with their bodies.'

Hurricane-scarred Puerto Rico has become a tale of two islands - with malls, restaurants cinemas and even a stirp club reopening in the capital while the starving poor huddle in darkness just a few miles away. The city's trendy Plaza Las Américas mall is once again a hive of activity, with residents flocking to Cheesecake Factory, Mr Pretzels and Starbucks to sip espresso and stream TV on high speed WiFi. Travel beyond the city limits however and the semblance of normality quickly fades to desperation and misery. The disparity is shockingly evident in Loiza, a coastal city to the east of San Juan and one of the island's most impoverished communities.

The mysterious video was filmed at Deerpark school in Cork, Ireland, after motion-activated cameras were installed on site. It seems to shows a door opening and closing of its own accord, furniture rocking back and forth unaided and a locker flying open and spilling paper. Principal Kevin Barry said: 'Obviously we were alerted to movement in the school and when we went back to review the movement that's what we saw. We do feel there is something strange going on because people do get from time to time a real chill in the air when they go past that area.'

Colin and Tiffany (pictured left during their wedding and bottom right getting engaged), of Delray Beach, Florida, first crossed each other's path in 2012 after each one of them paid a visit to a Publix supermarket. In the parking lot, Tiffany unlocked her white Jeep Cherokee from afar and was preparing to put her groceries inside when she noticed a stranger near her vehicle. Tiffany thought at first that someone was trying to steal her car, but told DailyMail.com she then noticed the man was busy loading his own shopping inside. It turned out Colin believed the car was his, when in fact his own white Jeep Cherokee, which looked identical to Tiffany's, was parked nearby (both cars are pictured top right).

Pickle the pug was recorded in the US approaching a spooky food bowl surrounded by a motion-sensored skeleton. When he leaned in to eat, the skeleton jumped out at him with red eyes. It was a prank by Pickle's owners. Though they may have thought it funny, Pickle's certainly didn't and barked at the scary decoration.

Penny Jensen, 74, was left in happy tears when she saw her granddaughter Jordyn Cleverly, 23, of Idaho wearing the dress she wore to her 1962 wedding. Sadly, Penny's husband had died 25 years ago, before he was ever able to meet Jordyn, which made the dress all the more special. The touching moment left everyone looking on in silent tears.

A cute video shows the moment a German Shepherd named Scout falls off a chair onto the carpet while asleep. The pup is lounging lazily on a chair and starts sliding off - all the while remaining asleep. His paws touch the floor and his body keeps moving until he gracefully rests on the ground. The video was taken in Joplin, Missouri.
