Topmodel (Belgian TV series)

Topmodel is a Flemish reality television show which pits contestants against each other in a variety of competitions to determine who will win a modeling contract with Dominique Models. Belgian model Ingrid Seynhaeve hosts the show, which is based on the top-rating series America's Next Top Model with Tyra Banks.

The debut season of the show premiered on KanaalTwee in October 2007. On it, 10 female contestants were placed in an apartment. Spanning a wide variety of women of various races, heights and body sizes, they had been whittled down from a pool of thousands to compete against one another in various contests designed to simulate the extreme demands placed on professional models. Each week one contestant was eliminated by a panel of judges: Ingrid Seynhaeve herself, fashion expert Ghislaine Nuytten, model Elise Crombez and Monique Vanendert, photographer. Coaches are Lieve Gerrits who's a stylist, Aza Declercq as acting coach and Vasko Todorof, make up artist.

Top Model

Top Model or Next Top Model is a fashion-themed reality television show format produced in many countries throughout the world and seen in over 120 countries producing over 200 seasons (referred to as "cycles"). The show takes the form of a modeling competition whose winners typically receive a contract with a major modeling agency and a cover shoot and fashion photo spread in a fashion magazine. The format was created by Tyra Banks for the original series, America's Next Top Model which was first aired in 2003, produced by Ken Mok's 10 by 10 Entertainment.

Format description

The following description of the show is based primarily on the American version of the series, though the format applies to the international versions as well.

Contestants

Each cycle of the show consists of 8–40 episodes and begins with 9–25 contestants. In each episode one contestant is eliminated, though in some cases there may be double eliminations, multiple eliminations, or no elimination at all, based on the consensus of the judging panel. Makeovers are administered to contestants early in the cycle, usually after the first or second elimination.

Asia's Next Top Model

Asia's Next Top Model (abbreviated as "AsNTM") is a reality television show, based on the American franchise America's Next Top Model, in which a number of women compete for the title of Asia's Next Top Model and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The show will feature aspiring models from the entire Far East region, including South Asia subcontinent.

The show was initially set to launch in mid-2012 on Ice-TV, after a deal was arranged with CBS for a Pan-Asian version. The casting process began in March 28, 2012 and was scheduled to end on May 5 of the same year. Later, the deadline was extended to May 21. Each season, the show is produced and filmed in a separate location of the Asian world.

On April 11, it was publicly revealed that Nadya Hutagalung would take on the role of Head Judge and Host of the series. Fashion director Daniel Boey, fashion photographer Todd Anthony Tyler, and model Joey Mead-King took secondary roles as judges. Around early October, Star World and Channel 8 introduced the 14 finalists for season one, from 13 countries in South, Southeast and East Asia. The show was initially scheduled to premiere on November 4, 2012. However, the global premiere on Star World was pushed back to November 25 due to monetary problems. The winner of the first cycle was 27-year-old Jessica Amornkuldilok from Thailand.

Vietnam's Next Top Model

Vietnam’s Next Top Model (Người mẫu Việt Nam, or VNTM) is a Vietnamese reality television show in which female contestants compete for the title of "Vietnam's Next Top Model." Contestants are given the opportunity to begin a career in the modeling industry, and the winner receives a cash prize and a feature article in a fashion magazine.

Background

The competition follows a group of women from 18 to 25 years old. They live in a house for several months and compete in challenges, such as posing for photographs. Many episodes feature contestants meeting well-known figures in the modeling industry. In each episode one contestant is eliminated, although multiple eliminations occasionally occur by consensus of the judges' panel. The winner will be crowned "Vietnam's Next Top Model", receiving a modeling contract and other prizes.

Judging

The first cycle was overseen by two panels of judges. The first included model Nathan Lee, who was scheduled to host the season with international model Elizabeth Thủy Tiên and fashion designer Hoàng Ngân. They were replaced by Hà Anh, Huy Võ and Đức Hải immediately after they were cast.
