Welcome to the ask David Fedewa show, I am your host David Fedewa and I am here to answer any one of your inventing questions.
Cool, I want to get started out today with Maria. Maria has got a great question here, I am going to follow up with Bando Helium cannot pronounce your screen name but, we will get to that question second.
So, “thank you for sharing your expertise I am an interested licensee we met. They have tested my prototype, cool, not very common. I have only met one of my potential licensees after we really carved out a deal so, it is not very common. So all those people that worried about flying somewhere that is not something you have to do. So, they proposed keeping in touch every couple weeks as they formed a new company. Alright, Maria, this puts me on the rocks are they doing a start-up where that if you could post a follow-up question underneath here to let me know like is this a start-up wear that because licensing a new innovation to a start-up is a difficult proposition you can lose your electrical property lose your intellectual property rights but if you assign them to them and you know start upstairs there are so many things that can happen to be very careful as you move forward with somebody that is forming a company. Now if it is a company a major, major company that is forming something to handle your product specifically because they are branching out awesome, love it. Sometimes I am not hit back from them for more than four weeks.
Maria, it is common, I had a potential licensees working on them contact twice a week at least calls emails going back and forth. One day, did not even say a word disappeared. I call them when we gone two weeks could not get a hold of them, called the secretary. “Hey, you know leave me a voice message I will get back to you three weeks, four weeks, five weeks, six weeks”. You finally shoots me an email and says, "hey, we are at a trade show, we knocked it out of the park, we are back on our A game working on your project let us get moving it forward”. That was it, that was the only thing that he said about being gone for six weeks and that is what happens when you are Licensing vs. Venture. Adventuring you have more control over that time licensing, you do not because you are relying on another company to move your project forward and so realize that. Be calm within but move things forward as your project progresses. When I reach out to them they respond back by email with brief updates perfect there in correspondence with you there they are making that interaction a lot easier. I do not want to be a pain but I also do not want to ignore their initial proposal by monthly updates. So, Maria, it happens they fall off the map they come back people switch so just stick with them this is mine, my idea of what happens you have got a marketing manager you got whoever that individual is within that company and he is got a stack of projects on his desk, and as he moves through those projects you working I want getting stuff done and passes it off to somebody else and your project starts to sink down in that pile and when you call them and you contact them you follow up and even just a simple email, “Hey, how's it going? Is there anything I can help out with”, Oh! Here, let me pull that project out, let me see where it is at. Let me contact my manufacturing got, let me reach out to marketing see where they built this thing and where we are going with it. Okay, perfect, that is where it is at. Let me get back to you Maria, let you know, let that put you right back on top of the pile.

In U.S. tort law, a licensee is a person who is on the property of another, despite the fact that the property is not open to the general public, because the owner of the property has allowed the licensee to enter. The status of a visitor as a licensee (as opposed to a trespasser or an invitee) defines the legal rights of the visitor if they are injured due to the negligence of the property possessor (not necessarily the owner).
Where licensees are present, activities conducted on the land by or at the behest of the owner of the land must be conducted with the care that a prudent person would show. A duty to warn arises if there is a harmful condition on the land that is hidden from the licensee, so long as the landowner knows of this condition. The licensee falls between the anticipated or discovered trespasser and the invitee on the sliding scale of tort liability assessed to landowners. Whereas the anticipated trespasser needs to be protected from known manmade conditions capable of causing death or serious injury, the licensee must be warned of all known dangers. However, unlike an invitee, a licensee has no standing to sue for dangerous conditions that "should have been" discovered by the property owner but were not actually known to the owner.
Under traditional common law, a property possessor (not necessarily the owner) has no duty whatsoever to trespassers. Some states retain the traditional common law rule, while other states, such as California, have imposed a reasonable duty of care toward all people who enter a property.
Even states that have retained the traditional common law rule regarding the absence of duty towards a trespasser may impose a duty of care towards certain kinds of trespassers. For example, a dangerous condition may effectively invite children to come onto the property. Such an attractive nuisance may impose a duty of care even towards trespassers.
Historically, emergency workers – police and firefighters – have been considered licensees, but they are barred from recovering from injuries caused by the risks inherent to their jobs. Generally such injuries are instead covered by worker's compensation.

Tourism in Greenland
Tourism in Greenland is a relatively young business area of the country. Since the foundation of the national tourist council, Greenland Tourism, in 1992, the Home Rule Government (renamed 'Self Rule Government' in 2009) has been working actively with promoting the destination and helping smaller tourist providers establish their services. Foreign travel agencies have increasingly been opening up sale of Greenland trips and tours, and the cruise industry has had a relatively large increase in routes to (or passing) Greenland since about the turn of the century.
The country has spectacular scenery and a few historic sites. The everyday life and local culture of Greenlanders is one of the main experiences for adventure travellers to Greenland.
The main tourist activities on offer are sailing tours among icebergs, dog sledding tours, ice cap treks, wildlife spotting (including whale watching), iceberg watching, and hiking trips to the mainly Norse ruins.

National park
A national park is a park in use for conservation purposes. Often it is a reserve of natural, semi-natural, or developed land that a sovereign state declares or owns. Although individual nations designate their own national parks differently, there is a common idea: the conservation of 'wild nature' for posterity and as a symbol of national pride. An international organization, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and its World Commission on Protected Areas, has defined "National Park" as its Category II type of protected areas.
While this type of national park had been proposed previously, the United States established the first "public park or pleasuring-ground for the benefit and enjoyment of the people", Yellowstone National Park, in 1872. Although Yellowstone was not officially termed a "national park" in its establishing law, it was always termed such in practice and is widely held to be the first and oldest national park in the world. The first area to use "national park" in its creation legislation was the US's Mackinac Island, in 1875. Australia's Royal National Park, established in 1879, was the world's third official national park. In 1895 ownership of Mackinac Island was transferred to the State of Michigan as a state park and national park status was consequently lost. As a result, Australia's Royal National Park is by some considerations the second oldest national park now in existence.

While relatives sing at her reception, Eileen hysterically grieves for her dad, and recalls happy times of her youth. Tony and Maisie's memories, however, are more troubled. Davies intermingles and contrasts scenes like the family peacefully lighting candles in church with the brutal man beating his wife and terrorizing his young children. In 'Still Lives', set (and filmed) two years later, the siblings are settled in life, but not all happily. For Eileen, relief from her drab existence comes only when singing at the pub. With his skillfully composed frames and evocative use of music in place of dialogue, Davies creates a lovely, affecting photo album of a troubled family wrestling with the complexity of love.

During a torrential downpour at Robert Frost Farm, I ventured into the forest which hides a frog pond and decided to film Bullfrogs in slowmo using my Photron Fastcam BC2 HD camera. In hindsight I should have at least bought an assistant as the rain was severe and the gear was heavy and awkward to carry by myself. Also I had to make a custom rain cover for the camera, Pix240i and the lens. As a kid I always wanted to shoot wildlife documentaries, etc as Wild America and other shows were my favorite when I was allowed to watch TV. This is actually harder in real life. Being that there was little light to work with I was shooting at 2.8 wide open and 1000fps was the highest frame rate I could go in regards to exposure. Cool, I want to get started out today with Maria. Maria has got a great question here, I am going to follow up with Bando Helium cannot pronounce your screen name but, we will get to that question second.
So, “thank you for sharing your expertise I am an interested licensee we met. They have tested my prototype, cool, not very common. I have only met one of my potential licensees after we really carved out a deal so, it is not very common. So all those people that worried about flying somewhere that is not something you have to do. So, they proposed keeping in touch every couple weeks as they formed a new company. Alright, Maria, this puts me on the rocks are they doing a start-up where that if you could post a follow-up question underneath here to let me know like is this a start-up wear that because licensing a new innovation to a start-up is a difficult proposition you can lose your electrical property lose your intellectual property rights but if you assign them to them and you know start upstairs there are so many things that can happen to be very careful as you move forward with somebody that is forming a company. Now if it is a company a major, major company that is forming something to handle your product specifically because they are branching out awesome, love it. Sometimes I am not hit back from them for more than four weeks.
Maria, it is common, I had a potential licensees working on them contact twice a week at least calls emails going back and forth. One day, did not even say a word disappeared. I call them when we gone two weeks could not get a hold of them, called the secretary. “Hey, you know leave me a voice message I will get back to you three weeks, four weeks, five weeks, six weeks”. You finally shoots me an email and says, "hey, we are at a trade show, we knocked it out of the park, we are back on our A game working on your project let us get moving it forward”. That was it, that was the only thing that he said about being gone for six weeks and that is what happens when you are Licensing vs. Venture. Adventuring you have more control over that time licensing, you do not because you are relying on another company to move your project forward and so realize that. Be calm within but move things forward as your project progresses. When I reach out to them they respond back by email with brief updates perfect there in correspondence with you there they are making that interaction a lot easier. I do not want to be a pain but I also do not want to ignore their initial proposal by monthly updates. So, Maria, it happens they fall off the map they come back people switch so just stick with them this is mine, my idea of what happens you have got a marketing manager you got whoever that individual is within that company and he is got a stack of projects on his desk, and as he moves through those projects you working I want getting stuff done and passes it off to somebody else and your project starts to sink down in that pile and when you call them and you contact them you follow up and even just a simple email, “Hey, how's it going? Is there anything I can help out with”, Oh! Here, let me pull that project out, let me see where it is at. Let me contact my manufacturing got, let me reach out to marketing see where they built this thing and where we are going with it. Okay, perfect, that is where it is at. Let me get back to you Maria, let you know, let that put you right back on top of the pile.

Maria, it is common, I had a potential licensees working on them contact twice a week at least calls emails going back and forth. One day, did not even say a word disappeared. I call them when we gone two weeks could not get a hold of them, called the secretary. “Hey, you know leave me a voice message I will get back to you three weeks, four weeks, five weeks, six weeks”. You finally shoots me an email and says, "hey, we are at a trade show, we knocked it out of the park, we are back on our A game working on your project let us get moving it forward”. That was it, that was the only thing that he said about being gone for six weeks and that is what happens when you are Licensing vs. Venture. Adventuring you have more control over that time licensing, you do not because you are relying on another company to move your project forward and so realize that. Be calm within but move things forward as your project progresses. When I reach out to them they respond back by email with brief updates perfect there in correspondence with you there they are making that interaction a lot easier. I do not want to be a pain but I also do not want to ignore their initial proposal by monthly updates. So, Maria, it happens they fall off the map they come back people switch so just stick with them this is mine, my idea of what happens you have got a marketing manager you got whoever that individual is within that company and he is got a stack of projects on his desk, and as he moves through those projects you working I want getting stuff done and passes it off to somebody else and your project starts to sink down in that pile and when you call them and you contact them you follow up and even just a simple email, “Hey, how's it going? Is there anything I can help out with”, Oh! Here, let me pull that project out, let me see where it is at. Let me contact my manufacturing got, let me reach out to marketing see where they built this thing and where we are going with it. Okay, perfect, that is where it is at. Let me get back to you Maria, let you know, let that put you right back on top of the pile.

The licensee falls between the anticipated or discovered trespasser and the invitee on the sliding scale of tort liability assessed to landowners. Whereas the anticipated trespasser needs to be protected from known manmade conditions capable of causing death or serious injury, the licensee must be warned of all known dangers. However, unlike an invitee, a licensee has no standing to sue for dangerous conditions that "should have been" discovered by the property owner but were not actually known to the owner.
Under traditional common law, a property possessor (not necessarily the owner) has no duty whatsoever to trespassers. Some states retain the traditional common law rule, while other states, such as California, have imposed a reasonable duty of care toward all people who enter a property.
Even states that have retained the traditional common law rule regarding the absence of duty towards a trespasser may impose a duty of care towards certain kinds of trespassers. For example, a dangerous condition may effectively invite children to come onto the property. Such an attractive nuisance may impose a duty of care even towards trespassers.

The Story: Last week I wanted to film something in high-speed (I shoot something every week to keep it fresh). My Bullfrog film had done well on the internet and I wanted to step up and challenge myself. I have wanted to film bee's for quite a while and luckily for me there happened to be an apiary in my town. Allen Lindahl owner of www.hillsidebees.com stepped up and allowed me to film his hives. It was 92 degrees out and the sun was bearing down, but I was told sunny days are when the bee's are most active. Without a bee outfit, I was ready to shoot. I was able to get pretty close to one of the hives (about one and a half feet) which was perfect for using the Canon 100mm Macro IS. I primarily filmed with the Canon 30-105mm Cinema zoom lens wide open. I also used a 300mm Tamron and a Nikon 50mm. I had my trusty Sound Devices Pix 240i as a field monitor and for recording ProRes via the HD-SDI out of the Photron BC2 HD/2K. It was very hard to track the bee's as they fly very fast and were getting a little bothered by how close I was to the hives. I was only stung three times which is pretty remarkable due to my proximity and my lens poking almost into the entrance way of the hive. I shot for approx 2.5 hours each day. It was so hot I got a pretty bad sunburn and the camera was hot enough to cook a fat porterhouse. There was a few moments that were intimidating when bee's started landing on my arms, face, in my ear and on my eye. I just stayed still and they went on their way with the exception of the three stings (1 on the arm, 1 on the neck and 1 under my ear). Bee's are actually quite docile and would prefer not to sting. They just want to make honey.

During a torrential downpour at Robert Frost Farm, I ventured into the forest which hides a frog pond and decided to film Bullfrogs in slowmo using my Photron Fastcam BC2 HD camera. In hindsight I should have at least bought an assistant as the rain was severe and the gear was heavy and awkward to carry by myself. Also I had to make a custom rain cover for the camera, Pix240i and the lens.
As a kid I always wanted to shoot wildlife documentaries, etc as Wild America and other shows were my favorite when I was allowed to watch TV. This is actually harder in real life.
Being that there was little light to work with I was shooting at 2.8 wide open and 1000fps was the highest frame rate I could go in regards to exposure. Since my lens was a 300mm the depth of field was literally 2-4mm in some of the shots which you can see when the frogs jump or if you look at the background to foreground relationship. I am pretty happy with the result and I can only get better being this is my first attempt at high-speed animal filming.

Foram 22 dias de muitas emoções, desbravamos e retratamos a natureza com outro olhar, tendo caminhado e escalado por inúmeras montanhas e enfrentando madrugadas congelantes com temperatura negativa, e umidade 98%.
Nosso Fusca foi a peça chave para chegarmos a tempo aos locais de grande dificuldade, agrademos nosso motor aspirado e seu belo sistema de controle de tração. Assim chegamos a tempo em todos os cenários escolhidos.
Vivemos varias aventuras! Afinal captar imagens usando a técnica de time lapse varia de horas a semanas, e milhares de fotos para serem construídas.
Contudo deu-se o resultado esperado. Que seja um prazer para seus olhos e que leve para você a mesma emoção que nos trouxe durante vinte dois dias de muito empenho e dedicação de toda equipe
Este foi o primeiro Parque Nacional do Brasil, criado em junho de 1937.
Situado na Serra da Mantiqueira, o Parque Nacional do Itatiaia abrange os municípios de Itatiaia e Resende no Estado do Rio de Janeiro e Bocaina de Minas e Itamonte no Estado de Minas Gerais, onde ficam aproximadamente 60% de seu território. A Unidade está localizada entre as cidades do Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo, próximo à Rodovia Presidente Dutra, tendo como pólo econômico mais próximo a cidade de Resende. Apresenta um relevo caracterizado por montanhas e elevações rochosas, com altitude variando de 600 a 2.791 m, no seu ponto culminante, o Pico das Agulhas Negras.
Na região do Planalto do Itatiaia, também conhecida como Parte Alta, encontram-se os campos de altitude e os vales suspensos onde nascem vários rios. A área do Parque abrange nascentes de 12 importantes bacias hidrográficas regionais, que drenam para duas bacias principais: a do rio Grande, afluente do rio Paraná, e a do rio Paraíba do Sul, o mais importante do Rio de Janeiro.
A parte baixa caracteriza-se principalmente por sua vegetação exuberante e generosos cursos d'água, com diversas áreas apropriadas para banho. Tem fácil acesso a partir da Via Dutra e recebe o maior fluxo de turistas do Parque, concentrando a maior parte da estrutura de visitação, com destaque para o Centro de Visitantes, revitalizado para os 70 anos do parque.
