Godolphin wants Alizee to fulfil potential in Flight

Flight ready: Glyn Schofield explodes away from the tea Rose Stakes field on Alizee.

It is grand final weekend for the AFL and NRL, where a season of work comes down to one day – one result. It might not be as black and white for Godolphin trainer James Cummings but he knows he will be measured by the performance of Alizee in the Flight Stakes at Randwick on Saturday.

A group 1 without Winx

Well-placed: Happy Clapper.

One of Australia's oldest and most respected 1600-metre races, the Epsom Handicap, will be the highlight of Saturday's meeting at Randwick and for the combatants they won't have to chase the world's finest race mare, Winx.

Snitzel sets cracking pace in new season

Golden run: Trapeze Artist, a son of Snitzel, wins the Golden Rose at Rosehill Racecourse.

Finding appropriate superlatives for the feats of Arrowfield Stud's Snitzel is a difficult assignment, with the stallion putting the icing on the cake in the group 1 Golden Rose last Saturday thanks to a stunning performance from Trapeze Artist.

One More Honey ready to take Flight

So Sweet: One More Honey wins the Sweet Embrace Stakes in the autumn.

John Thompson started the spring with three fillies heading to the Flight Stakes and beyond. One More Honey, Sweet Deal and Smooth Landing have arrived as scheduled at Randwick on Saturday.
