Warrington is a town in Cheshire, England. It stands on the banks of the River Mersey, 18.5 miles (29.8 km) miles east of Liverpool, and 16 miles (26 km) west of Manchester. Warrington was founded by the Romans at an important crossing place on the River Mersey. A new settlement was established by the Saxons. By the Middle Ages, Warrington had emerged as a market town at the lowest bridging point of the river. A local tradition of textile and tool production dates from this time. Ten years ago Shaun Smith was an enforcer for one of the biggest crime families in Liverpool and embroiled in a war against a rival drug gang.
Shaun introduced urban terrorism to the British underworld. He sprayed up houses with machine guns, tortured people and used homemade napalm to firebomb his enemies.
Today, after a spell of five years in prison for firearms offences, he is trying to transfer those skills to the legal economy by working as a debt collector in the northern English satellite town of Warrington.

Warrington
Warrington is a town in the north west of England, historically part of Lancashire but, since 1974, within the ceremonial county of Cheshire. It stands on the banks of the River Mersey, 18.5 miles (29.8 km) east of Liverpool, and 16 miles (26 km) west of Manchester. The population in 2011 was 202,228; its population has more than doubled since its designation as a New Town in 1968. The population of the 'built up area' of the town stands at 165,456, ranking 46th out of all urban areas in the UK.
Warrington was founded by the Romans at an important crossing place on the River Mersey. A new settlement was established by the Saxons. By the Middle Ages, Warrington had emerged as a market town at the lowest bridging point of the river. A local tradition of textile and tool production dates from this time.
Historically in Lancashire, the expansion and urbanisation of Warrington coincided with the Industrial Revolution, particularly after the Mersey was made navigable in the 18th century. The West Coast Main Line runs north to south through the town, and the Liverpool to Manchester railway (the Cheshire Lines route) west to east. The Manchester Ship Canal cuts through the south of the borough (west to east). The M6, M56 and M62 motorways form a partial box around the town.

Coordinates: 53°24′22″N 2°37′05″W / 53.406°N 2.618°W / 53.406; -2.618 Gulliver's World is a theme park located to the west of Warrington in England. It is set in a forest and includes a man-made lake near Old Hall and Callands. The theme park has a large wooden roller coaster, The Antelope. Opened in 1989, the theme park has a number of small rides and is mainly a children's/family theme park. The park is split into 9 sections; Adventure World, The Lost World (formerly Dinosaur World), Entrance Plaza, Circus World, Western World, Alice's Wonderland (due to Warrington being near Daresbury, the birthplace of Lewis Carroll), Counts Castle, Smugglers Wharf, and the newest area to date, Water World.
Gulliver's World has Sister Parks at Matlock Bath (Gulliver's Kingdom) and at Milton Keynes (Gulliver's Land).

River Mersey
The River Mersey /ˈmɜːrzi/ is a river in North West England. Its name is derived from the Anglo-Saxon language and translates as "boundary river". The river may have been the border between the ancient kingdoms of Mercia and Northumbria and for centuries it formed part of the boundary between the historic counties of Lancashire and Cheshire.
The start of the Mersey is at the confluence of the River Tame and River Goyt in Stockport. It flows westwards through the suburban areas of south Manchester towards Warrington where the river widens before it then narrows as it passes between the towns of Runcorn and Widnes. From Runcorn the river widens into a large estuary, which is 3 miles (4.8 km) wide at its widest point near Ellesmere Port. The course of the river then heads north, with Liverpool to the east and the Wirral Peninsula to the west and finishes at Liverpool Bay. In total the river flows 70.33 miles (113 km).
Two road tunnels pass under the estuary from Liverpool, the Queensway Tunnel opened in 1934 connecting the city to Birkenhead, and the Kingsway Tunnel, opened in 1971, connects with Wallasey. The Silver Jubilee Bridge completed in 1961, crosses between Runcorn and Widnes. There is a Railway bridge adjacent to the Silver Jubilee Bridge and between Liverpool and Birkenhead there is a railway tunnel. The Mersey Ferry operates between Pier Head in Liverpool and Woodside in Birkenhead and Seacombe and has become a tourist attraction offering cruises that provide an overview of the river and surrounding areas.

The roller coaster is a popular amusement ride developed for amusement rollercoaster parks and modern theme roller coaster parks. LaMarcus Adna Thompson obtained a Rollercoaster patent regarding roller coasters on January 20, 1885, which were made out of wood, but this patent is considerably later than the "Russian mountains" described below. In essence a specialized railroad system, a roller coaster consists of a track that rises Rollercoaster POV in designed patterns, sometimes with one or more inversions (such as vertical loops) that Rollercoaster briefly turn the rider upside down. The track does not necessarily have to be a complete circuit, as rollercoaster shuttle roller coasters demonstrate. Most roller coasters have multiple cars in which passengers sit and are restrained.[1] Two or more cars hooked together rollercoaster are called a train. The Welsh Mountaineer (25/08/2010) Part Four: Blaenau Ffestiniog to Warrington
The fourth in a four part series of videos filmed on Wednesday 25th August 2010. Railway Touring Company operated it's Preston to Blaenau Ffestiniog steam charter entitled the Welsh Mountaineer. LMS 8F 2-8-0 number 48151 (Gauge 0 Guild) was in charge of this train, and performed impeccably throughout the day. In part four, we take the return trip to Warrington Bank Quay - departing Blaenau Ffestiniog (passing the slate tips before plunging into the 2 mile long Ffestiniog Tunnel), and taking in Glan Conwy along the way. After another run round at Llandudno Junction, we head to Chester and finally arrive back at Warrington Bank Quay, completing a fantastic journey.

Warrington was founded by the Romans at an important crossing place on the River Mersey. A new settlement was established by the Saxons. By the Middle Ages, Warrington had emerged as a market town at the lowest bridging point of the river. A local tradition of textile and tool production dates from this time.
Historically in Lancashire, the expansion and urbanisation of Warrington coincided with the Industrial Revolution, particularly after the Mersey was made navigable in the 18th century. The West Coast Main Line runs north to south through the town, and the Liverpool to Manchester railway (the Cheshire Lines route) west to east. The Manchester Ship Canal cuts through the south of the borough (west to east). The M6, M56 and M62 motorways form a partial box around the town.
The modern Borough of Warrington was formed in 1974 with the amalgamation of the former County Borough of Warrington, part of the Golborne Urban District, the Lymm Urban District, part of the Runcorn Rural District, the Warrington Rural District and part of the Whiston Rural District.
The Borough of Warrington is bordered by Halton, Cheshire West and Chester, and Cheshire East boroughs in the Ceremonial County of Cheshire and by the metropolitan boroughs of Trafford, Salford and Wigan in Greater Manchester and St. Helens in Merseyside. Warrington Borough Transport, trading as Network Warrington, one of the few municipal bus companies to survive in public ownership, runs most bus services within the town.

Gulliver's World is a theme park located in Warrington, England. Gulliver’s World theme park consists of multiple themed areas including Lilliput Land, Gully Town and The Lost World.

The fourth in a four part series of videos filmed on Wednesday 25th August 2010.
Railway Touring Company operated it's Preston to Blaenau Ffestiniog steam charter entitled the Welsh Mountaineer. LMS 8F 2-8-0 number 48151 (Gauge 0 Guild) was in charge of this train, and performed impeccably throughout the day.
In part four, we take the return trip to Warrington Bank Quay - departing Blaenau Ffestiniog (passing the slate tips before plunging into the 2 mile long Ffestiniog Tunnel), and taking in Glan Conwy along the way. After another run round at Llandudno Junction, we head to Chester and finally arrive back at Warrington Bank Quay, completing a fantastic journey.

red was placed above "Irish" green. A Marshalite traffic signal. These
were formerly fitted in various intersections in Melbourne and
indicated how much time was remaining before the signal changed. This
traffic signal in Mountain View, California shows red and green at the
same time. This traffic light in Khobar, Saudi Arabia is video
camera-actuated (just above the vertical light) and also shows the
seconds remaining to change to the next state (in the horizontal
light). Traffic light in Munich, showing a special bus signal. An
attempt to discourage red light running by posting the minimum fine on
a regulatory sign near the signal. Another method is to simply remind
