Established in 1999, the Victorian Community History Awards (VCHA) are held annually to recognise the contributions made by Victorians in the preservation of the state’s fascinating history, published during the previous year.

Presented by Public Record Office Victoria in partnership with the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, the awards celebrate the people involved in community history projects who are dedicated to telling local stories which help all Victorians to better understand their past.

We are pleased to announce that the name of the prize for most outstanding work has been renamed the Victorian Premier's History Award, reflecting the importance of this award to Victorian historical research.

Victoria's Multicultural Awards for Excellence reward outstanding achievements and services of individuals and organisations who have actively supported cultural diversity and made a real impact in promoting community harmony.

Entries for the 2017 Fire Awareness Awards are now open for individuals, community groups and organisations to submit innovative projects that help reduce the incidence and impact of fire in Victoria.

The Minister for Health Volunteer Awards highlight and celebrate volunteering and its significant contribution to public healthcare in Victoria. The awards recognise the individuals and teams that demonstrate outstanding dedication and commitment to public healthcare in Victoria through volunteering.

The Premier’s Award for Health & Medical Research [PAHMR] recognises and celebrates the outstanding achievements of Victoria’s early-career health and medical researchers.

The Premier's Design Awards recognise and reward Victorian designers and businesses using exemplar design effectively and sustainably. The awards provide an opportunity for businesses and the community to better understand the role of design in making products and services more functional, efficient and attractive, and ultimately increasing productivity and business outcomes.

The Premier's Sustainability Awards celebrate and recognise outstanding achievements by Victorian businesses, institutes, community groups, government and individuals leading the way in sustainable innovation and practices.

The Resilient Australia Awards recognise and promote initiatives across the nation that support and strengthen community disaster resilience. The Awards are proudly sponsored by the Australian Government Attorney-General's Department, in conjunction with the states and territories.

The ResourceSmart Schools Awards are Victoria's largest sustainability awards program celebrating the achievements of schools and early childhood services.

Through these Awards, students and teachers are rewarded for their creative actions that reduce energy, waste, and water, increase biodiversity, and how they engage with the wider school community on these issues. The Awards are a fantastic way for the schools to exhibit the leadership and sustainability successes of our Victorian schools and their innovative ideas.

The Ricci Marks Award recognises achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in training, education, arts, sport, culture and community leadership. Victorians are encouraged to nominate young Aboriginal achievers for the award.
