Description
VicTraffic is the official traffic iPhone app from VicRoads.
The app stays up to date by automatically downloading new content when it is available.
Road Closures and Traffic Alerts are generally uploaded to the application during peak traffic periods of Monday to Friday, 6:45am to 6:45pm and after hours during significant emergency events.
Details include location, impacts and any special instructions such as detours.
Pre-planned interruptions such as Roadwork’s and Events are available up to 48hours in advance.
Travel times are provided via a map interface for the wider metropolitan area and major Melbourne freeways are listed with segment breakdowns.
Live traffic camera images are available from strategic locations around Melbourne to provide you with a live image of exactly how traffic is looking there and then.

Bring back traffic congestion colours
I know this has been requested numerous times before but can you PLEASE bring back the traffic congestion colours on the map! ie. red = heavy orange = medium green = light
Otherwise a great app. Use it everyday. Have been using it for years. I now rely on it but have to check in with other apps like google maps & Waze to check traffic congestion on a route when it starts getting heavy to find an alternate route around it.

why different to website map ? the congestion colours are invaluable !
Terrible app
This app used to be ok. Since the major update it is now different to using Vic traffic on the website. When on a pc you can bring up a map and it will colour code traffic and show any roadworks, accidents or road closures. Google maps is now my preferred app. Easier to use too!!! Why change if it ain't broke. Crazy.
