South Kalimantan

South Kalimantan (Indonesian: Kalimantan Selatan) is a province of Indonesia. It is located in Kalimantan, the Indonesian territory of Borneo. The provincial capital is Banjarmasin. The population of South Kalimantan was recorded at just over 3.625 million people at the 2010 Census; the latest official estimate (for January 2014) is 3,913,908.

One of five Indonesian provinces in Kalimantan, it is bordered by the Makassar Strait in the east, Central Kalimantan in the west and north, the Java Sea in the south, and East Kalimantan in the north.

Geography

About three quarters of the province is flat and less than 100m above sea level, while about 8,000 km² are swampland. The Meratus Mountains are situated approximately along the south-western part to the north-eastern part of the province, dividing the flat area into two. Its highest peak is Gunung Besar with 1,892 metres.

The annual rainfall intensity is high, ranging between 2,000 and 3,700 mm. The mean number of rainy days per year is 120. Barito is the main river, used as a transportation route to the northern part of the province and to Central Kalimantan. Other smaller rivers are mostly springing from the Meratus Mountains.

Plot

Mobile phones today come with a host of novel features to entertain their users. But a dark side hides amid their use. This film features a group of people obsessed with mobile phone video recording: Ken (Paopol Thephasdin) is a mobile phone repair man who has steals private video clips from his customers’ phones; Pub DJ Aud (Warot Pitakanonda) likes having fun with girls and records those adventures on his phone to share with others; and Gaeng (Nuttapong Tangkasam), the pub owner who creates a porn website featuring mobile phone video clips. However, none of the characters realise their mobile phone habit is to become a threat to their lives.

Live Performance

Live Performance is a live album by Jake Thackray. Recorded at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London in 1970, it was released on LP by EMI in 1971 and reissued in 1976. An expanded version was released on CD in 2006.

Thackray was uncomfortable performing in large venues, and his left-wing politics meant he could not understand why people would pay money to see him perform. He almost backed out of this concert, feeling he had no right to entertain such a large crowd, but producer Norman Newell managed to persuade him to go on.

Presiden Jokowi Targetkan 140.000 Sertifikat Diserahkan Ke Masyarakat Kalsel Tahun Ini Presiden Joko Widodo menyerahkan 2.500 sertifikat hak atas tanah kepada penerima di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Penyerahan tersebut dilakukan di Gedung Sultan Suryansyah, Banjarmasin, pada Jumat, 15 September 2017. Dalam sambutannya, Presiden Joko Widodo memastikan bahwa pemerintah akan terus mengupayakan pemberian sertifikat ini sebagai tanda bukti hak kepemilikan atas tanah kepada lebih banyak lagi masyarakat, tidak hanya di Kalimantan Selatan, tapi juga di seluruh Indonesia. Sebab, saat ini masih sangat banyak masyarakat yang belum memiliki pengakuan atas tanah yang mereka miliki. Berdasarkan data yang ia terima, di Kalimantan Selatan terdapat kurang lebih dua juta bidang tanah yang mestinya memiliki sertifikat. Dari jumlah tersebut, baru sekira 770 ribu yang memiliki bukti pengakuan. Oleh karenanya, Kepala Negara telah memerintahkan jajaran terkait untuk mempercepat pemberian sertifikat tanah. "Perlu saya sampaikan bahwa di seluruh Indonesia memang masih banyak yang harus dikejar. Totalnya ada 126 juta bidang, yang bersertifikat baru 46 juta bidang. Dulu di Kalimantan Selatan setiap tahun kurang lebih hanya 6 ribu sertifikat yang sudah keluar. Saya minta ke Pak Menteri tahun ini target kita 140 ribu di sini harus keluar sertifikat," Presiden menegaskan. Target yang tinggi tersebut memang ditetapkan pemerintah untuk mampu mengejar ketertinggalan. Selain itu, menurut Presiden, banyak sengketa lahan yang terjadi karena disebabkan tidak adanya kepemilikan sertifikat ini. Untuk diketahui, pada 7 Mei 2017 lalu, Presiden Joko Widodo juga telah memberikan sertifikat kepada sejumlah penerima di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Saat itu sertifikat diserahkan kepada 2.340 penerima di Taman Wisata Labirin BP3T Pelaihari, Kelurahan Sungai Jelai, Kecamatan Tambang Ulang, Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Ke depannya, pemerintah masih akan menerbitkan lebih banyak lagi sertifikat tanah kepada masyarakat. Ini merupakan salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk mengurangi ketimpangan dan kesenjangan yang ada dengan menargetkan sebanyak 5 juta sertifikat dapat diterbitkan pada tahun ini. "Saya akan cek terus, akan saya ikuti prosesnya. Semoga seluruh masyarakat yang berdomisili di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan ini semuanya pegang sertifikat sehingga sengketa tidak ada di sini," kata Presiden.
