1)Charminar It was built in 1591 and is a monument and mosque located in Hyderabad, India. Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah, the founder of Hyderabad, built Charminar at the centre of the original city layout. Charminar has 45 prayer spaces and a mosque in it.There is a controversy that a temple named Bhagyalakshmi is located in the base of Charminar. A replica of Charminar is built in the Bahadurabad locality of Karachi, Pakistan in 2007. 2)Ramoji Film City Film City is located in Anajpur village, Hayathnagar Mandal in Hyderabad. At 1666 acres, It is the largest integrated film city in the world. It is a very famous tourist place, it has an amusement park. It was setup by Ramoji group in 1996. Number of films in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Bengali, Oriya, Bhojpuri, English and several TV commercials and serials are produced here every year. 3)Mecca Masjid It is located two hundred yards southwest of the Charminar. It is so named because the bricks were brought from Mecca to build the central arch. Mecca Masjid, also Makkah Masjid, is one of the oldest mosques in Hyderabad and it is one of the largest Mosques in India. On the edge of the pond are two stone and slab benches, whoever sits on them, according to legend, returns to sit on them again. 4)Qutb Shahi Tombs The tombs of the legendary Qutb Shahi kings lie about a kilometre away from the Banjara Darwaza of the Golconda Fort. Planned and built by the Qutb Shahi's themselves, these tombs are said to be the oldest historical monuments in Hyderabad. They form a large group and stand on a raised platform. The galleries of the smaller tombs are of a single storey while the larger ones are two storied. 5)Salar Jung Museum Visiting Hours: 10 am -- 5 pm The Museum is an art museum located at Darushifa, on the southern bank of the Musi river in the city of Hyderabad. It has collection of sculptures, paintings, carvings, textiles, manuscripts, ceramics, metallic artefacts, carpets, clocks, and furniture from Japan, China, Burma, Nepal, India, Persia, Egypt, Europe, and North America. The museum's collection was sourced from the property of the Salar Jung famil, a superb collection of jade, daggers belonging to Queen Noor Jahan and the Emperors Jahangir and Shah Jahan, Aurangzeb's sword and many other fabulous items. 6)Golkonda fort Golkonda is also known as Golconda or Golla konda. The origins of the fort can be traced back to the Yadava dynasty of Deogiri and the Kakatiyas of Warangal.Golconda was originally a mud fort and is famous for its acoustics, palaces, ingenious water supply system and the famous Fateh Rahben gun, one of the cannons used in the last siege of Golconda by Aurangzeb, to whom the fort ultimately fell. It is a ruined fort of Southern India and capital of medieval Golconda Sultanate and is situated 11 km west of Hyderabad. It is also a mandal of Hyderabad District. 7)Nehru Zoological Park Zoo is located near Mir Alam Tank in Hyderabad. Zoo hours vary by season, and the zoo is closed on Mondays. Spanning 300 lush green acres, the Park is a must for nature lovers. It has over 250 species of animals and birds, most of which are kept in conditions as close to their natural habitats as possible. This is the first zoo to create moated enclosures for animals. The Lion Safari Park, Natural History Museum and Children's Train are the added attractions. 8)Falaknuma Palace Falaknuma Palace is one of the finest palaces in Hyderabad, India. The Falaknuma palace is a rare blend of Italian and Tudor architecture. Its stained glass windows throw a spectrum of colour into the rooms.One of the highlights of the palace is the state reception room, whose ceiling is decorated with frescoes and gilded reliefs. The ballroom contains a two-ton manually operated organ said to be the only one of its kind in the world. The palace has 220 lavishly decorated rooms and 22 spacious halls. It has some of the finest treasure collections of the Nizam. Falaknuma houses a large collection of rare treasures including paintings, statues, furniture, manuscripts and books.The jade collection of the palace is considered to be unique in the world. In 2000 Taj Hotels started renovating and restoring the palace.The renovated hotel was opened in November 2010. 9)Hussain Sagar This lake is in Hyderabad and was built by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali in 1562, during the rule of Ibrahim Quli Qutb Shah.Boating and water sports are a regular feature in the Hussainsagar. One of the World's tallest monolithic statues of the Buddha stands on the 'Rock of Gibraltar', in the middle of the lake. Maximum depth of lake is 32 feet. It is surrounded by lush green garden. 10)Birla Mandir Birla Mandir is a Hindu temple, built on a 280 feet high hillock called Naubath Pahad on a 13 acres plot. The construction took 10 years and was consecrated in 1976 by Swami Ranganathananda of Ramakrishna Mission.
