ACT Human Rights Act (ACTHRA) Portal

Welcome to the ACT Human Rights Act (ACTHRA) Portal.

The ACTHRA Portal provides summaries of court cases in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) which refer to the ACT Human Rights Act 2004, and excerpts of Hansard records in which human rights issues have been considered.

The case summaries have been researched and written by law students at the ANU College of Law as a Law Reform and Social Justice program. The case summaries are checked for accuracy by academic faculty of the ANU College of Law, and by solicitors at the law firm Clayton Utz, acting pro bono.

The Portal also provides access to publications related to the ACT Human Rights Act 2004, and answers some frequently asked questions related to this Act.

The Portal provides updates to subscribers via a mailing list.
