Aarhus (officially spelled Århus from 1948 until December 31, 2010) (Danish pronunciation: [ˈɒːhuːˀs]) is the second-largest city in Denmark and the seat of Aarhus Municipality. It is located on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula, in the geographical centre of Denmark, 187 kilometres (116 mi) northwest of Copenhagen and 289 kilometres (180 mi) north of Hamburg, Germany. Aarhus' inner urban area contains 261,570 inhabitants and the municipal population is 330,639 (1 January 2015). The Larger urban zone population is 845,971.
The history of Aarhus began as a fortified Viking settlement founded in the 8th century and with the first written records stemming from the bishopric seated here from at least 948. The city was founded on the northern shores of a fjord at a natural coastal harbour and the primary driver of growth was for centuries seaborne trade in agricultural products. Market town privileges were granted in 1441, but growth stagnated in the 17th century as the city suffered blockades and bombardments during the Swedish Wars. In the 19th century it was occupied twice by German troops during the Schleswig Wars but avoided destruction. As the industrial revolution took hold, the city grew to become the second-largest in the country by the 20th century.
English is a West Germanic language that was first spoken in early medieval England and is now a global lingua franca. It is an official language of almost 60 sovereign states, the most commonly spoken language in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and New Zealand, and a widely spoken language in countries in the Caribbean, Africa, and South Asia. It is the third most common native language in the world, after Mandarin and Spanish. It is the most widely learned second language and is an official language of the United Nations, of the European Union, and of many other world and regional international organisations.
English has developed over the course of more than 1,400 years. The earliest forms of English, a set of Anglo-Frisian dialects brought to Great Britain by Anglo-Saxon settlers in the fifth century, are called Old English. Middle English began in the late 11th century with the Norman conquest of England.Early Modern English began in the late 15th century with the introduction of the printing press to London and the King James Bible as well as the Great Vowel Shift. Through the worldwide influence of the British Empire, modern English spread around the world from the 17th to mid-20th centuries. Through all types of printed and electronic media, as well as the emergence of the United States as a global superpower, English has become the leading language of international discourse and the lingua franca in many regions and in professional contexts such as science, navigation, and law.
Sunday (i/ˈsʌndeɪ/ or /ˈsʌndi/) is the day of the week following Saturday but before Monday. For most Christians, Sunday is observed as a day of worship and rest, holding it as the Lord's Day and the day of Christ's resurrection. Sunday is a day of rest in most Western countries, part of 'the weekend'. In some Muslim countries and Israel, Sunday is the first work day of the week. According to the Hebrew calendars and traditional Christian calendars, Sunday is the first day of the week, and according to the International Organization for Standardization ISO 8601 Sunday is the seventh and last day of the week. No century in the Gregorian calendar starts on a Sunday, whether its first year is considered to be '00 or '01. The Jewish New Year never falls on a Sunday. (The rules of the Hebrew calendar are designed such that the first day of Rosh Hashanah will never occur on the first, fourth, or sixth day of the Jewish week; i.e., Sunday, Wednesday, or Friday).
Sunday, being the day of the Sun, as the name of the first day of the week, is derived from Hellenistic astrology, where the seven planets, known in English as Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury and the Moon, each had an hour of the day assigned to them, and the planet which was regent during the first hour of any day of the week gave its name to that day. During the 1st and 2nd century, the week of seven days was introduced into Rome from Egypt, and the Roman names of the planets were given to each successive day.

His career with the Who spans more than 50 years, during which time the band grew to be considered one of the most influential bands of the 20th century.
Townshend is the main songwriter for the Who, having written well over 100 songs for the band's 11 studio albums, including concept albums and the rock operas Tommy and Quadrophenia, plus popular rock and roll radio staples such as Who's Next, and dozens more that appeared as non-album singles, bonus tracks on reissues, and tracks on rarities compilations such as Odds & Sods (1974). He has also written more than 100 songs that have appeared on his solo albums, as well as radio jingles and television theme songs. Although known primarily as a guitarist, he also plays keyboards, banjo, accordion, harmonica, ukulele, mandolin, violin, synthesiser, bass guitar and drums, on his own solo albums, several Who albums, and as a guest contributor to an array of other artists' recordings. He is self-taught on all of the instruments he plays and has never had any formal training.

Århus is one of Denmark's largest cities, located on the eastern coast of Jutland. Århus is a modern town, with a lot of student life, but it has not lost its charm. Walk down the streets with their many small shops, many of which sell little things that are perfect as souvenirs, or visit the market where you can always find fresh local produce and flowers grown in nearby fields. If you feel like going out to a nice restaurant, those by 'Århus Å' are famous for their great food and unique location next to the canal. The canal is also a great place to have a cup of coffee while you relax after a walk around town. The surrounding countryside is filled with little lakes and different natural habitats. A great place for an afternoon walk. Book a self catering NOVASOL holiday home near Århus, a...

Pete Townshend 1974-04-14 Roundhouse, London, UK Audience Recording, Good Quality Here's a little gem for you, also from the mid-seventies, the first solo gig ever from from Pete Townshend. Pete presents a fascinating and fairly casual show using electric and acoustic guitars, piano, some synthesizer tapes and the original 'My Generation' demos as he ran through a set that included several early Who classics like 'Substitute', 'Behind Blue Eyes', 'Pinball Wizard', and 'Magic Bus' (with one lyric cleverly changed to "...I'm so nervous I guess it shows. Don't say a thing about my great big nose..." for the occasion). The set also featured numerous covers and songs rarely heard by Townshend, such as Jimmy Reed's 'Big Boss Man' and 'Goin to New York', 'If I was A Carpenter', and 'North Coun...

The afternoon sunlight
Is folding around us
The dishes are done
The buildings here
Tall as our mountains
Slice through the windows
And cut off the sun
On such days I find
I am longing for Puerto Rico
Though I never would return
'Til you are free
But when I hear the Aguinaldo
My heart's a little lighter
And we dance together Aurea and me
In my life, I've been
Unlucky with two husbands
Gumersindo liked his
Rum and women friends
Then that hypocrite who beat you
And preached about repentance
Has gone and so another Sunday ends
And tomorrow is another
Hard working Monday
I'm still hoping for
The raise they promised me
There's a job as operator
I would not have to wait for
If I could speak the language easily
But I tell Aurea
The barrio's boundaries
Are our own little nation
Sometimes, I hear you run upstairs
And I view my light with resignation
Keep your Bible near you
