Beatles 1+ Deluxe Edition Celebrates the Sight & Sound of The Beatles in 50 Films & Videos
London – September 15, 2015 – After The Beatles stopped touring, and because travelling around the globe to promote new releases was impossible, the band increasingly made what could be described as “mini movies”. These pioneering promotional films and videos helped to define the way we have come to watch music, not least because The Beatles approached filming with the same ease and innovative spirit they brought to the recording studio, exploring new creative possibilities with infectious delight. Showcasing the band’s filmed work to accompany their 27 No.1, U.K. and U.S. singles, The Beatles 1 is newly restored and expanded in multiple configurations for global release on November 6 by Apple Corps Ltd/UMG.
The 27-track CD/DVD and CD/Blu-ray pairs beautifully restored videos for each song, with new stereo and 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS HD surround audio mixes. The brand new Beatles 1+ celebrates their career in over 200 minutes through 50 promotional films and videos. This includes the 27 No.1s, with the restored videos, along with a second disc of 23 videos, including alternate versions, as well as rarely seen and newly restored films and videos; all include new audio mixes in deluxe CD/2-DVD and CD/2-Blu-ray packages. The 27-track audio CD is also being made available with new stereo mixes. A 2 LP, 180-gram vinyl package will follow.
The new editions of The Beatles 1 have been made possible following extensive research, and restoration of the original promo films, classic television appearances and other carefully selected videos spanning the band’s history. Apple Corps dug deep into The Beatles’ vaults to select a broad range of films and videos for their rarity, historical significance and quality of performance. An 18-person team of film and video technicians and restoration artists was assembled by Apple Corps to undertake painstaking frame-by-frame cleaning, colour-grading, digital enhancement and new edits that took months of dedicated, ‘round-the-clock work to accomplish.
The result is a visual run down of The Beatles’ number one records, as well as the additional tracks on the bonus disc of Beatles 1+ that show the band in previously unseen standards of clarity and quality; many of the films and videos have never before been commercially released, in whole or in part.
Beatles 1 and Beatles 1+ offers the restored films, including 35mm negatives scanned in 4K and digitally restored with new stereo and 5.1 surround audio remixes, produced from the original analogue tapes by the GRAMMY® winning team of Giles Martin with Sam Okell at Abbey Road Studios. For four of the videos, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have provided exclusive audio commentary and filmed introductions, respectively. The 1+ Deluxe Edition, presented in an expanded 124-page illustrated hardcover book includes ‘an appreciation’ of The Beatles’ ground-breaking films and videos by music journalist and author Mark Ellen and extensive, detailed track/video annotation by music historian and author Richard Havers.

The Beats was born in 1987 thanks to its two founders, Patricio and Diego Pérez. In the year 1996, it was recognized as THE BEST BEATLE BAND IN THE WORLD by the Beatles Annual Convention from London and Liverpool. They have been praised by Allan Williams in England (first manager of the Beatles) who said: "They sounded even better than the Beatles when I took them to Hamburg" and Alistair Taylor (Brian Epstein’s personal assistant) who said: "It looks as if the Beatles were born again". Furthermore, they were recognized with important articles in the British newspapers Daily Post and Liverpool Echo.
They were proud to represent Argentina once again in the "Rose Festival" in Hiroshima, Japan (Festival to commemorate the anniversary of the Atomic Bomb, May 1997), playing for ten thousand people, and appearing on television, newspapers and the radio. This Eastern tour was completed in the most important theatres in Kyoto, Ibara, Sapporo, Osaka, among others. They traveled back to England in August 1997, to launch the “Beatles Revival Show”, a show about the evolution of The Beatles represented by The Beats in the Empire Theatre of Liverpool.
After the success achieved in their prior visit, they came back to Japan in October 1997 to make a one month tour travelling around Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuyama, Ibara, Kyoto and Tokyo, performing in the most important theatres of those cities. That same year they launched the “Beatles Revival Show" in Argentina, in the “Astros Theatre” in Corrientes Avenue, using more than twenty instruments from their personal collection, original equipment and exact clothing, respecting each of the stages of the English quartet, and performing five more times, due to the request of the audience.
"Here are The Beatles" was the title given to the show launched in 1998 in the “Broadway Theatre” of our capital: a complete journey throughout all the stages of the four Liverpool geniuses, respecting the same sound of the original recordings together with string and wind instruments.
The same year, they were invited again as guests of honour to the "Beatles Annual Convention" of London and Liverpool performing in L.I.P.A (Sir Paul McCartney auditorium), Strawberry Fields and Liverpool Cavern Club (Mathew Street), among others, closing the year in Argentina with the show “The Beats 10 years”, in the Broadway Theatre.

The Beatles
The Beatles were an English rock band, formed in Liverpool in 1960. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential act of the rock era. Rooted in skiffle, beat, and 1950s rock and roll, the Beatles later experimented with several genres, ranging from pop ballads and Indian music to psychedelia and hard rock, often incorporating classical elements in innovative ways. In the early 1960s, their enormous popularity first emerged as "Beatlemania", but as the group's music grew in sophistication, led by primary songwriters Lennon and McCartney, they came to be perceived as an embodiment of the ideals shared by the counterculture of the 1960s.
The Beatles built their reputation playing clubs in Liverpool and Hamburg over a three-year period from 1960, with Stuart Sutcliffe initially serving as bass player. The core of Lennon, McCartney and Harrison went through a succession of drummers, most notably Pete Best, before asking Starr to join them. Manager Brian Epstein moulded them into a professional act and producer George Martin enhanced their musical potential. They gained popularity in the United Kingdom after their first hit, "Love Me Do", in late 1962. They acquired the nickname "the Fab Four" as Beatlemania grew in Britain over the following year, and by early 1964 they had become international stars, leading the "British Invasion" of the United States pop market. From 1965 onwards, the Beatles produced what many consider their finest material, including the innovative and widely influential albums Rubber Soul (1965), Revolver (1966), Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), The Beatles (commonly known as the White Album, 1968) and Abbey Road (1969).

Strawberry Fields Forever
"Strawberry Fields Forever" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles. The song was written by John Lennon and credited to the Lennon–McCartney songwriting partnership. It was inspired by Lennon's memories of playing in the garden of Strawberry Field, a Salvation Army children's home near where he grew up in Liverpool.
The song was the first track recorded during the sessions for the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967), and was intended for inclusion on the album. Instead, with the group under record-company pressure to release a single, it was issued in February 1967 as a double A-side with "Penny Lane". The combination reached number two in the United Kingdom, breaking the band's four-year run of chart-topping singles there, while "Strawberry Fields Forever" peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 in America.
Numerous music critics consider it to be one of the group's best and most adventurous recordings. Among the breakthroughs it established in studio techniques of the time, for a single release, the track incorporates reverse-recorded instrumentation and tape loops, and was created from the editing together of two separate versions of the song – each one entirely different in tempo, mood and musical key. The song was later included on the US Magical Mystery Tour LP (although not on the British double EP package of the same name).

Strawberry
The garden strawberry (or simply strawberry; Fragaria × ananassa) is a widely grown hybrid species of the genus Fragaria (collectively known as the strawberries). It is cultivated worldwide for its fruit. The fruit (which is not a botanical berry, but an aggregate accessory fruit) is widely appreciated for its characteristic aroma, bright red color, juicy texture, and sweetness. It is consumed in large quantities, either fresh or in such prepared foods as preserves, fruit juice, pies, ice creams, milkshakes, and chocolates. Artificial strawberry flavorings and aromas are also widely used in many products like lip gloss, candy, hand sanitizers, perfume, and many others.
The garden strawberry was first bred in Brittany, France, in the 1750s via a cross of Fragaria virginiana from eastern North America and Fragaria chiloensis, which was brought from Chile by Amédée-François Frézier in 1714.Cultivars of Fragaria × ananassa have replaced, in commercial production, the woodland strawberry (Fragaria vesca), which was the first strawberry species cultivated in the early 17th century.

These pioneering promotional films and videos helped to define the way we have come to watch music, not least because The Beatles approached filming with the same ease and innovative spirit they brought to the recording studio, exploring new creative possibilities with infectious delight. Showcasing the band’s filmed work to accompany their 27 No.1, U.K. and U.S. singles, The Beatles 1 is newly restored and expanded in multiple configurations for global release on November 6 by Apple Corps Ltd/UMG.
The 27-track CD/DVD and CD/Blu-ray pairs beautifully restored videos for each song, with new stereo and 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS HD surround audio mixes. The brand new Beatles 1+ celebrates their career in over 200 minutes through 50 promotional films and videos. This includes the 27 No.1s, with the restored videos, along with a second disc of 23 videos, including alternate versions, as well as rarely seen and newly restored films and videos; all include new audio mixes in deluxe CD/2-DVD and CD/2-Blu-ray packages. The 27-track audio CD is also being made available with new stereo mixes. A 2 LP, 180-gram vinyl package will follow.
The new editions of The Beatles 1 have been made possible following extensive research, and restoration of the original promo films, classic television appearances and other carefully selected videos spanning the band’s history. Apple Corps dug deep into The Beatles’ vaults to select a broad range of films and videos for their rarity, historical significance and quality of performance. An 18-person team of film and video technicians and restoration artists was assembled by Apple Corps to undertake painstaking frame-by-frame cleaning, colour-grading, digital enhancement and new edits that took months of dedicated, ‘round-the-clock work to accomplish.
The result is a visual run down of The Beatles’ number one records, as well as the additional tracks on the bonus disc of Beatles 1+ that show the band in previously unseen standards of clarity and quality; many of the films and videos have never before been commercially released, in whole or in part.
Beatles 1 and Beatles 1+ offers the restored films, including 35mm negatives scanned in 4K and digitally restored with new stereo and 5.1 surround audio remixes, produced from the original analogue tapes by the GRAMMY® winning team of Giles Martin with Sam Okell at Abbey Road Studios. For four of the videos, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have provided exclusive audio commentary and filmed introductions, respectively. The 1+ Deluxe Edition, presented in an expanded 124-page illustrated hardcover book includes ‘an appreciation’ of The Beatles’ ground-breaking films and videos by music journalist and author Mark Ellen and extensive, detailed track/video annotation by music historian and author Richard Havers.

They traveled back to England in August 1997, to launch the “Beatles Revival Show”, a show about the evolution of The Beatles represented by The Beats in the Empire Theatre of Liverpool.
After the success achieved in their prior visit, they came back to Japan in October 1997 to make a one month tour travelling around Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuyama, Ibara, Kyoto and Tokyo, performing in the most important theatres of those cities. That same year they launched the “Beatles Revival Show" in Argentina, in the “Astros Theatre” in Corrientes Avenue, using more than twenty instruments from their personal collection, original equipment and exact clothing, respecting each of the stages of the English quartet, and performing five more times, due to the request of the audience.
"Here are The Beatles" was the title given to the show launched in 1998 in the “Broadway Theatre” of our capital: a complete journey throughout all the stages of the four Liverpool geniuses, respecting the same sound of the original recordings together with string and wind instruments.

The Beats was born in 1987 thanks to its two founders, Patricio and Diego Pérez. In the year 1996, it was recognized as THE BEST BEATLE BAND IN THE WORLD by the Beatles Annual Convention from London and Liverpool. They have been praised by Allan Williams in England (first manager of the Beatles) who said: "They sounded even better than the Beatles when I took them to Hamburg" and Alistair Taylor (Brian Epstein’s personal assistant) who said: "It looks as if the Beatles were born again". Furthermore, they were recognized with important articles in the British newspapers Daily Post and Liverpool Echo.
They were proud to represent Argentina once again in the "Rose Festival" in Hiroshima, Japan (Festival to commemorate the anniversary of the Atomic Bomb, May 1997), playing for ten thousand people, and appearing on television, newspapers and the radio. This Eastern tour was completed in the most important theatres in Kyoto, Ibara, Sapporo, Osaka, among others. Showcasing the band’s filmed work to accompany their 27 No.1, U.K. and U.S. singles, The Beatles 1 is newly restored and expanded in multiple configurations for global release on November 6 by Apple Corps Ltd/UMG.
The 27-track CD/DVD and CD/Blu-ray pairs beautifully restored videos for each song, with new stereo and 5.1 Dolby Digital and DTS HD surround audio mixes. The brand new Beatles 1+ celebrates their career in over 200 minutes through 50 promotional films and videos. This includes the 27 No.1s, with the restored videos, along with a second disc of 23 videos, including alternate versions, as well as rarely seen and newly restored films and videos; all include new audio mixes in deluxe CD/2-DVD and CD/2-Blu-ray packages. The 27-track audio CD is also being made available with new stereo mixes. A 2 LP, 180-gram vinyl package will follow.
The new editions of The Beatles 1 have been made possible following extensive research, and restoration of the original promo films, classic television appearances and other carefully selected videos spanning the band’s history. Apple Corps dug deep into The Beatles’ vaults to select a broad range of films and videos for their rarity, historical significance and quality of performance. An 18-person team of film and video technicians and restoration artists was assembled by Apple Corps to undertake painstaking frame-by-frame cleaning, colour-grading, digital enhancement and new edits that took months of dedicated, ‘round-the-clock work to accomplish.
The result is a visual run down of The Beatles’ number one records, as well as the additional tracks on the bonus disc of Beatles 1+ that show the band in previously unseen standards of clarity and quality; many of the films and videos have never before been commercially released, in whole or in part.
Beatles 1 and Beatles 1+ offers the restored films, including 35mm negatives scanned in 4K and digitally restored with new stereo and 5.1 surround audio remixes, produced from the original analogue tapes by the GRAMMY® winning team of Giles Martin with Sam Okell at Abbey Road Studios. For four of the videos, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr have provided exclusive audio commentary and filmed introductions, respectively. The 1+ Deluxe Edition, presented in an expanded 124-page illustrated hardcover book includes ‘an appreciation’ of The Beatles’ ground-breaking films and videos by music journalist and author Mark Ellen and extensive, detailed track/video annotation by music historian and author Richard Havers.

In the year 1996, it was recognized as THE BEST BEATLE BAND IN THE WORLD by the Beatles Annual Convention from London and Liverpool. They have been praised by Allan Williams in England (first manager of the Beatles) who said: "They sounded even better than the Beatles when I took them to Hamburg" and Alistair Taylor (Brian Epstein’s personal assistant) who said: "It looks as if the Beatles were born again". Furthermore, they were recognized with important articles in the British newspapers Daily Post and Liverpool Echo.
They were proud to represent Argentina once again in the "Rose Festival" in Hiroshima, Japan (Festival to commemorate the anniversary of the Atomic Bomb, May 1997), playing for ten thousand people, and appearing on television, newspapers and the radio. This Eastern tour was completed in the most important theatres in Kyoto, Ibara, Sapporo, Osaka, among others. They traveled back to England in August 1997, to launch the “Beatles Revival Show”, a show about the evolution of The Beatles represented by The Beats in the Empire Theatre of Liverpool.
After the success achieved in their prior visit, they came back to Japan in October 1997 to make a one month tour travelling around Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuyama, Ibara, Kyoto and Tokyo, performing in the most important theatres of those cities. That same year they launched the “Beatles Revival Show" in Argentina, in the “Astros Theatre” in Corrientes Avenue, using more than twenty instruments from their personal collection, original equipment and exact clothing, respecting each of the stages of the English quartet, and performing five more times, due to the request of the audience.
"Here are The Beatles" was the title given to the show launched in 1998 in the “Broadway Theatre” of our capital: a complete journey throughout all the stages of the four Liverpool geniuses, respecting the same sound of the original recordings together with string and wind instruments.

In this Strawberry Fields Forever guitar lesson video, I will show you how to play all of the guitar chords to this classic by The Beatles. "Strawberry Fields Forever" was considered by John Lennon to be his greatest work!
The tuning for this song is a little bit ambiguous. This was caused by the final cut being two different versions of the song spliced together. One was fast and the other slower. The slower one was sped up a bit and the faster one slowed down a bit. This changed the pitch and it actually ends up being somewhere between the keys of A major and Bb major.
I have chosen to play it in Bb major for this lesson. I will use a standard tuned guitar with a capo at the 1st fret.
I will be recreating music from many different instruments to be played on a solo acoustic guitar. This always makes for a few awkward parts, but I think the beautiful music you will have under fingers at the end will be well worth the effort.
The song itself consists mostly of just a verse section and chorus section. However, the verse section has lots of variations thrown in there, especially with the cello section bass lines.
I will show you how to play all of those parts on the guitar as well.
Also, I have transcribed the cool little Indian harp licks heard after the second and third chorus. Those are probably my favorite parts of the song and are very fun to play!
There is a little bit of real guitar on the original recording but it is mostly used for coloring so I don't focus on it. Instead I am trying to show you a way to play ALL of the music on one guitar.
There is a cool guitar lick at the very end of the song which I will show note-for-note.

Девочки и мальчики!
Вот-вот закончится сезон клубники. Самое время приготовить торт Strawberry fields.
Для бискивита:
4 яйца комнатной температуры;
1 ст. мук...
Девочки и мальчики!
Вот-вот закончится сезон клубники. Самое время приготовить торт Strawberry fields.
Для бискивита:
4 яйца комнатной температуры;
1 ст. муки;
1 ст.сахара;
1 чл разрыхлителя;
немного соли и ванилина.
Отделите белки от желтков. Взбейте в крепкую пену с сахаром до устойчивых пиков.
Добавьте желтки и тщательно перемешайте.
Смешайте с мукой, разрыхлителем и ванилином.
Снова перемешайте.
Форму для выпечки коржа застелите бумагой, смажьте ее маслом или маргарином.
Разлейте полученную массу и поставьте в духовку выпекаться до готовности.
Крем:
200 гр клубники взбейте блендером с сахаром в количестве 100 гр.
Добавьте сливок или жирной сметаны, творога или размягченного сливочного масла (100 гр).
Поставьте в морозилку для быстрейшего приготовления.
Полученный корж аккуратно выньте из форму, перенесите на влажное полотенце, переверните и отделите бумагу.
Дождитесь полного остывания.
Разрежьте пополам ниткой или ножом.
Когда крем готов (около 30 мин), смажьте внутреннюю часть бисквита, сверните рулетом.
То же самое проделайте с другой частью.
Перенесите на доску и разделайте на кружки.
Тарелку смажьте кремом и выкладывайте заготовки по вашему вкусу, промазывая кремом.
Сверху украсьте ягодами.
Поставьте в холодильник минимум на часа.
Перед подачей можно украсить изделие взбитыми сливками.
