Departmental cemetery trust grants are intended for cemetery trusts that do not have funds available for the required expenditure.

The Community Infrastructure and Cultural Precincts Program (CICP) Program provides funding to help maintain existing community infrastructure, build new community infrastructure, or enhance cultural precincts for culturally diverse communities.

The Victorian Government is committed to promoting and enhancing the social, cultural and economic benefits of cultural diversity to all Victorians. The Multicultural Festivals and Events (MFE) program encourages participation of the whole Victorian community in festivals and events to celebrate and embrace our vibrant multicultural diversity. This initiative is administered by the Department of Premier and Cabinet’s Multicultural Affairs and Social Cohesion (MASC) Division.

In 2017-18, VicHealth’s Active Club Grants will provide funding to increase the opportunities Victorians have to participate in community sport clubs.

The funding will prioritise two outcome areas:

Focus area 1: Female participation
Focus area 2: Participation in social and modified forms of sport

VicHealth is inviting Victoria’s community sporting clubs to address these factors by either creating new sport opportunities or by implementing, within your own club, an existing program created by a State or National sporting organisation.

Advance is a school-based program for young people to volunteer in their community. It is a partnership between the Department of Human Services, Victorian Government secondary schools and community organisations.

The Victorian Government is taking a coordinated government approach to the closure of Alcoa's Anglesea Power Station and Coal Mine on the 31st August, 2015.

Eligible Victorians holding a valid Pensioner Concession or Health Care Card currently receive free clinically necessary transport. This may not apply when being transported from a private healthcare facility.

The Annual Electricity Concession is available to help ease cost of living pressures by providing concession cardholders with a discount of 17.5 per cent off household electricity bills.

The Anzac Centenary Community Grant Program offers funding to eligible organisations for projects that commemorate the service and sacrifice of World War One (WWI) veterans and their communities or inform and educate Victorians about the experiences of WWI veterans and their communities. WWI related projects could include new memorials, one off community events, local community education projects and the preservation of WWI history. The program will run over the Anzac Centenary (2014-18) and is designed to support projects up to $20,000 (excluding GST).

An opportunity for all Victorians to acknowledge the wartime efforts of their local municipality's military service people or locals who supported Australia's military cause.
