On behalf of the Board of Directors and Executive Management Team, we would like to thank our “Million Dollar Baby” for her incredible leadership over the past 4 years.

In October, our beloved Stephany Ashley will be stepping down as Executive Director and joining the Board of Directors. Stephany has worked with SJI for 11 years, but it is in her most recent role as Executive Director that she has provided remarkable advocacy, insight, strength, and LOVE to our organization and the Bay Area sex worker community. Her work included enhancing our social justice efforts, moving SJI services into our new home on Eddy Street, forging new and innovative community partnerships, securing health benefits for staff, and increasing our organizational budget to over $1 million dollars.

We are truly grateful for all of her support, and are thrilled for her next endeavor, both as a fierce advocate for the chronically homeless people in San Francisco, as well as a new board member with St. James Infirmary. While we will miss seeing her beautiful face on a regular basis, we know that she will always be a champion for SJI and our participants.
