Mindscape

Mindscape Interactive Inc. was an international software publishing company, previously part of The Learning Company and later affiliated with Electronic Arts. As of 2004, the group had offices in Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. It had an annual turnover of €38 million and employed 150 people. Mindscape published and distributed educational and lifestyle games and software. Its most notable titles include Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Lego Island.

History

Mindscape began in 1983 as a software publisher in Northbrook, Illinois. Founded by English-born Roger M. Buoy, the company established its early roots developing educational software for the TI-99/4A and the Apple II. It later branched out into entertainment software by becoming a Lucasfilm licensee, publishing the Indiana Jones computer games before they were taken in-house by Lucasfilm Games with Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It also released Text adventures tied to famous authors like Dick Francis and Ray Bradbury, and a controversial game from Tom Snyder Productions called Sub Mission. The latter required gamers to purchase a replacement disk if they lost the mission three times.

Mark Strong

Mark Strong (born Marco Giuseppe Salussolia; 5 August 1963) is a British film and television actor. He is known for his role in the television series Our Friends in the North and films such as Syriana (2005), RocknRolla (2008), Body of Lies (2008), The Young Victoria (2009), Sherlock Holmes (2009), Robin Hood (2010), Kick-Ass (2010), Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011), Green Lantern (2011), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), John Carter (2012), Mindscape (2013), The Imitation Game (2014), and Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014).

Early life

Strong was born in London, the son of an Austrian mother and an Italian father. His father left the family soon after his birth, and Strong was brought up by his mother, who worked as an au pair. Strong said in an interview: "The home I grew up in... was a flat in Myddelton Square in London's Islington, a beautiful Georgian square with a huge church in the middle. We moved around a lot when I was a kid. I remember flats in Walthamstow, Clapton, Stoke Newington, and Edmonton, as well." His English name is not a stage name; when he was a child, his mother changed his name by deed poll to help him fit in with his peers. He was baptised a Catholic. Strong speaks fluent German and some Italian.

Taissa Farmiga

Taissa Farmiga (/təˈiːsə fɑːrˈmiːɡə/; born August 17, 1994) is an American actress. She made her film debut in the drama Higher Ground (2011), her television debut in the FX series American Horror Story: Murder House (2011), and her stage debut in the play Buried Child (2016). Farmiga has had leading roles in The Bling Ring (2013), Mindscape (2013), The Final Girls (2015), 6 Years (2015), and the upcoming In a Valley of Violence (2016).

Early life and family

Farmiga was born and raised in the Whitehouse Station area of Readington Township, New Jersey. She is the youngest of seven children born to Ukrainian American parents Lubomyra (née Spas), a former schoolteacher, and Michael Farmiga, a retired computer systems analyst. Her older siblings are Victor, Vera, Stephan, Nadia, Alexander, and Laryssa; the latter of whom was born with spina bifida. She attended public school until fourth grade, after which she began homeschooling. Farmiga has stated that she understands the Ukrainian language but can only partially speak it. She is proficient in American Sign Language, having taken classes for four years.

"The 13th" is a single released by the British group the Cure in 1996. The song was initially released on the album Wild Mood Swings. All tracks were written by Smith/Gallup/Bamonte/Cooper/O'Donnell.

The song went to #15 on the UK Singles Chart and #44 on the US Hot 100. The song was played very few times during the Swing Tour and never again since the tour.

Music video

The music video of the song shows Robert Smith, dressed in ripped velvet dress, lying on his bed and watching a TV broadcast where he performs with The Cure.
