A valley is a low area between hills, often with a river running through it.
In geology, a valley or dale is a depression that is longer than it is wide. The terms U-shaped and V-shaped are descriptive terms of geography to characterize the form of valleys. Most valleys belong to one of these two main types or a mixture of them, (at least) with respect to the cross section of the slopes or hillsides.
A valley in its broadest geographic sense is also known as a dale. A valley through which a river runs may also be referred to as a vale. A small, secluded, and often wooded valley is known as a dell or in Scotland as a glen. A wide, flat valley through which a river runs is known in Scotland as a strath. A mountain cove is a small valley, closed at one or both ends, in the central or southern Appalachian Mountains which sometimes results from the erosion of a geologic window. A small valley surrounded by mountains or ridges is sometimes known as a hollow. A deep, narrow valley is known as a cwm (also spelled combe or coombe). Similar geological structures, such as canyons, ravines, gorges, gullies, and kloofs, are not usually referred to as valleys. See also: "chine". A valley formed by erosion is called an erosional valley; a valley formed by geologic events such as drop faults or the rise of highlands is called a structural valley.
Health is the level of functional or metabolic efficiency of a living organism. In humans it is the ability of individuals or communities to adapt and self-manage when facing physical, mental or social challenges. The World Health Organization (WHO) defined health in its broader sense in its 1948 constitution as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." This definition has been subject to controversy, in particular as lacking operational value and because of the problem created by use of the word "complete" Other definitions have been proposed, among which a recent definition that correlates health and personal satisfaction. Classification systems such as the WHO Family of International Classifications, including the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), are commonly used to define and measure the components of health. Health is that balanced condition of the living organism in which the integral, harmonious performance of the vital functions tends to the preservation of the organism and the normal development of the individual.

Nursing students provide free health screenings for local communities It was the middle of summer 2015 when Donald Ray Foster first passed out. It was just stress, he thought, or maybe a lack of sleep. So he didn’t visit a doctor to find out what was wrong. Foster had just moved back to Madera from Stockton, and the nearest clinic wouldn’t accept his medical insurance. So he waited. A few months passed without Foster seeking care until a November day when he and his wife noticed the Community Health Mobile Unit parked in front of the Hope House, a facility that provides behavioral health services in Madera County. Foster had just eaten lunch and started to feel faint again. Read the full story: http://fresnostate.edu/magazine/the-road-to-valley-health

“The Gut Brain Connection” is a presentation by Christine Rosche, MPH, CNS, CBT that took place on January 19, 2017. Chronic diseases for which there are inadequate treatments are increasing in the Western world. While genetics play a role in diseases, genetics and DNA are not our destiny. Diet and life style choices can change DNA through epigenetics. Ninety-nine percent of our DNA is microbial DNA which is in the gut. Hence, the gut has a large role in genetic expression, and many of these diseases can start in the gut. Inflammation is major contributing cause to most diseases. Inflammation leads to conditions such as obesity, diabetes, cancer, strokes, autism, depression, ADHD, asthma, arthritis, coronary artery disease, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease. “The Great American Health Hoax: Why Getting Sick is a Big Mistake You Can Avoid” - a presentation by Raymond Francis, MSc at, the Smart Life Forum hosted by Silicon Valley Health Institute on Thursday, July 16, 2015. here is no compelling reason why anyone should have cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, arthritis, osteoporosis, the common cold or almost any other disease. All of these diseases can be prevented and almost all reversed if you learn how to maintain your body. The body is a self-repairing system. This is why, for example, no one needs a hip replacement. Our hips are designed to last a lifetime—if we keep them in good repair. All you have to do is supply the required repair materials and avoid toxins that can shut down your repair machinery. In his newest book, The...
“The Human Detoxification System” - a presentation by Christopher Shade, PhD on May 21, 2015. Detoxification is a natural process inherent to the human body. Our bodies, over time, accumulate a variety of toxins from our environment, food sources and toxic emotions and become less effective at this process. Efficient detoxification depends on a series of seamless reactions that bind toxins to shuttle molecules and “escort” them out through a series of doors. The glutathione system is the most important of the detoxification systems and includes glutathione and the enzymes that work with it. The process of detoxification proceeds in three parts or “phases”, Phase I, II, and III. Dysfunction of the human detoxification system is the most common and insidious root cause of toxic element and ...

Homeopathy for Depression and Anxiety is the subject of a presentation by Rina Valia CCH, LCEH and Selora Albin, CCH that took place on May 18, 2017 at the Silicon Valley Health Institute. Homeopathy is a gentle and safe way of healing which aims to stimulate the body’s natural response. In homeopathy, a key premise is that every person has energy called a Vital Force or Self-Healing Response. When this energy is disturbed, health problems develop. Homeopathy views disease holistically. A person’s illness is intimately linked to the individual and their life. To effect healing you must treat the person as a whole. Physical, emotional and mental symptoms are given equal importance. The whole person must be affected to be cured. Homeopathic remedies are tailored to the individual and th...

The valley where i can feel the infinite
Cold touch of time forever
The valley which leans over me to defend
And i lived there as a slave
She became my mother and father
And the only one who really knows me
And when i close my eyes forever
She will known why i do it
The valley where the sky is far-away
I sometimes leave for her on a path
But flow is coming and sweeping away
"don't run away" - whispers the wind
The valley only can hear my last words
Among the flowers fed with loneliness
[Chorus:]
The valley where in my own world
I live alone
Now i say goodbye, i'm waited in the sky
The valley will tell that she was the only with me
[Chorus:]
The valley where in my own world
I live alone
Nobody can see my smile
