Dilansir dari care2.com, inilah fakta unik tentang kidal yang sesungguhnya.
1. Umur lebih pendek?
Menurut sebuah studi, orang kidal hidupnya lebih pendek dari yang tidak kidal. Sebuah studi menunjukkan bahwa perempuan bertangan kidal memiliki resiko meninggal lebih besar, akibat kanker dan "cerebrovascular" kerusakan pada pembuluh darah otak dan pembuluh darah yang memasok darah ke otak. "Meskipun itu dapat menjadi temuan yang menyimpang peluang dan buktinya jauh dari kesimpulan, banyak laporan telah menghubungkan kondisi kidal dengan bermacam gangguan dan, pada umumnya, masa hidup yang lebih singkat," kata beberapa peneliti Belanda, sebagaimana ditulis dalam laporan di jurnal epidemiology.
2. Orang kidal cenderung lebih jenius
Entah kebetulan atau tidak, beberapa ilmuwan sebut saja Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Marie Curie, dan Aristoteles bertangan kidal. Paradigma inilah yang memicu anggapan mengapa orang kidal dianggap lebih jenius. Bahkan sebuah studi menunjukkan, orang yang kidal memiliki corpus calossum (otak tengah) lebih besar. Otak tengah, memiliki banyak memori penyimpanan karena merupakan jembatan yang mampu mengontrol fungsi motorik dan kognitif. Maka tak heran bila banyak orang mengatakan bahwa orang bertangan kidal memiliki otak yang lebih jenius ketimbang orang yang tidak bertangan kidal.
3. Bayi kembar memiliki 2 kali kemungkinan untuk kidal
Dibandingkan dengan masyarakat umum, tangan kidal lebih sering muncul di kalangan kembar. Bahkan pada anak kemba, jika salah satunya kidal, maka 76 % kemungkinan saudara kembarnya juga akan kidal. Tapi, sebuah riset pada tahun 1998 oleh James McDevitt dari Universitas Oklahoma menemukan bahwa hanya 26% kemungkinan anak menjadi kidal dari kedua orang tua yang kidal. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa genetik bukanlah satu-satunya hal yang menentukan kekidalan seseorang.
4. Tak hanya manusia, ternyata hewan pun bisa kidal
Tak hanya manusia saja yang memiliki kecenderungan kidal atau tidak kidal. Hewan peliharaan seperti anjing, kucing, bahkan kuda ternyata juga punya kecenderungan ini. Sebuah penelitian menemukan bahwa hewan juga memiliki kecenderungan menjadi kidal atau tidak. Mengetahui apakah hewan peliharaan kidal atau tidak bisa memudahkan Anda untuk melatih dan mengembangkan kemampuan hewan.
5. Punya keturunan kidal
Jika kedua orangtua kidal, maka ada kemungkinan 50% keturunan mereka juga akan kidal. Sementara jika kedua orangtua tidak kidal, kemungkinan tadi akan turun menjadi 2% saja.

Kidal
Kidal (Tuareg-Berber: ⴾⴸⵍ, Kidal) is a town and commune in the desert region of northern Mali. The town lies 285 km (177 mi) northeast of Gao and is the capital of the Kidal Cercle and the Kidal Region. The commune has an area of about 9,910 km2 (3,830 sq mi) and includes the town of Kidal and 31 other settlements.
On 30 March 2012, Kidal and its military base were captured by the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad as part of the Tuareg rebellion for the independence of Azawad. A spokesman for the Malian military junta said "To preserve the life of the people of Kidal, the military command decided not to prolong the battle". Gao and Timbuktu were captured within the next 48 hours, and on 6 April, the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad declared the independence of Azawad from Mali. In the course of the conflict the MNLA lost their control to Islamist militias. On 30 January 2013 French and Malian forces moved into the town to bring it back under government control.

Banyak anggapan yang menyebutkan bahwa mereka yang kidal dianggap lebih pintar dan kreatif daripada rekan mereka yang tidak . Benarkah demikian? Dilansir dari care2.com, inilah fakta unik tentang kidal yang sesungguhnya.
1. Umur lebih pendek?
Menurut sebuah studi, orang kidal hidupnya lebih pendek dari yang tidak kidal. Sebuah studi menunjukkan bahwa perempuan bertangan kidal memiliki resiko meninggal lebih besar, akibat kanker dan "cerebrovascular" kerusakan pada pembuluh darah otak dan pembuluh darah yang memasok darah ke otak. "Meskipun itu dapat menjadi temuan yang menyimpang peluang dan buktinya jauh dari kesimpulan, banyak laporan telah menghubungkan kondisi kidal dengan bermacam gangguan dan, pada umumnya, masa hidup yang lebih singkat," kata beberapa peneliti Belanda, sebagaimana ditulis dalam laporan di jurnal epidemiology.
2. Orang kidal cenderung lebih jenius
Entah kebetulan atau tidak, beberapa ilmuwan sebut saja Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Marie Curie, dan Aristoteles bertangan kidal. Paradigma inilah yang memicu anggapan mengapa orang kidal dianggap lebih jenius. Bahkan sebuah studi menunjukkan, orang yang kidal memiliki corpus calossum (otak tengah) lebih besar. Otak tengah, memiliki banyak memori penyimpanan karena merupakan jembatan yang mampu mengontrol fungsi motorik dan kognitif. Maka tak heran bila banyak orang mengatakan bahwa orang bertangan kidal memiliki otak yang lebih jenius ketimbang orang yang tidak bertangan kidal.
3. Bayi kembar memiliki 2 kali kemungkinan untuk kidal
Dibandingkan dengan masyarakat umum, tangan kidal lebih sering muncul di kalangan kembar. Bahkan pada anak kemba, jika salah satunya kidal, maka 76 % kemungkinan saudara kembarnya juga akan kidal. Tapi, sebuah riset pada tahun 1998 oleh James McDevitt dari Universitas Oklahoma menemukan bahwa hanya 26% kemungkinan anak menjadi kidal dari kedua orang tua yang kidal. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa genetik bukanlah satu-satunya hal yang menentukan kekidalan seseorang.
4. Tak hanya manusia, ternyata hewan pun bisa kidal
Tak hanya manusia saja yang memiliki kecenderungan kidal atau tidak kidal. Hewan peliharaan seperti anjing, kucing, bahkan kuda ternyata juga punya kecenderungan ini. Sebuah penelitian menemukan bahwa hewan juga memiliki kecenderungan menjadi kidal atau tidak. Mengetahui apakah hewan peliharaan kidal atau tidak bisa memudahkan Anda untuk melatih dan mengembangkan kemampuan hewan.
5. Punya keturunan kidal
Jika kedua orangtua kidal, maka ada kemungkinan 50% keturunan mereka juga akan kidal. Sementara jika kedua orangtua tidak kidal, kemungkinan tadi akan turun menjadi 2% saja.

There were also 28 dead and 62 wounded on the Tuareg side, the ministry said, according to L'Essor National.
The government issued a statement Saturday saying Tuareg rebels from the Azawad National Liberation Movement, joined by jihadists, attacked government buildings.

The head of the Russian secret service FSB said that the unit of Egypt Air had probably been hit by a terrorist act. The man, Alexander Bortnikov, the European partners of Russia calls to find out together who is responsible. He does not say what evidence he has that it is terrorism.
