Crude SS - The System That You Hate...Is The System You Support

Crude S.S. first surfaced in Sweden in the summer of 1982 with their self-released demo. The "S.S." on their name stands for "Society System". They fit in well with the established lot of Swedish hardcore punk of that era. Although their sound was somewhat unique and a bit different from the likes of Anti Cimex, Crudity, Disarm, etc. Always raw, shifting from slow and sludgey to fast and aggressive, coarse vocals and unrefined anger defined the their sound.

They have definitely earned an eternal name for themselves among the international DIY hardcore punk community and have served as siginificant influence for countless bands from all corners of the globe. They propably disbanded around 1986, the year that released the last official compilation album that they appeared on.

With very little available or even existant, in terms of official releases, they are easily one of the most bootlegged bands in international hardcore punk history next to the likes of Mob 47 from Sweden and Confuse from Japan.

Moderat Likvidation - Never Mind The Bootlegs... Here's The Real Deal

Moderat Likvidation (Moderate liquidation in english) is a swedish hardcore punk band that formed sometime back in 1980 in the suburbs of Malmö in south of the country. The band originally existed between 1980 and 1985, but reunited in 2007. The word "moderate" in the band name refers to the swedish conservative Moderate Party. Members of the band played also for other bands like Black Uniforms, Hjärnsubstans, R.P Savoy.

I should tell you that "Köttahuve" (Meathead) is an anti-nazi song. According to hearsay, the song reached the ears of Dead Kennedys' singer Jello Biafra and that he banned Moderat Likvidation for being Nazis because of the lines "Sieg Heil" in the chorus. But the lyrics are ironic.

There was also a gig in Helsingborg where a bunch of nazi-skinheads showed up and wanted to discuss the song "Köttahuve", which was all about…naziskins. This "discussion" took place in a dark alley after the gig. However, when one member of the band started waving with a Magnum 44 they didn´t wanna "talk" anymore but ran away. They didn't know it was a plugged gun. There was a story about this incident in a local paper, and nobody knew how it got there!? But the outcome was to the punk-rockers satisfaction, cause there were less incidents like this afterwards.

Anti-Cimex - Demos 81-85

Anti Cimex were a Swedish hardcore punk band, based in Skövde, Göteborg, Linköping, and Malmo, at different times, that formed in 1981.

They were one of the first bands to define Scandinavian hardcore punk. Their second 7", Raped Ass, is considered to be a subgenre-defining D-beat record.

Their name is taken from the Swedish pest control company with the same name, the name of this company, in turn, comes from the Latin name of a particular type of bedbug; Cimex.

Ebba Gron - 1978-1982

Ebba Grön was a Swedish punk band formed in 1977 in Ragsved, a working-class suburb of Stockholm. One of the most famous songs they recorded is a cover by the Swedish progg band Bla Taget and is called "Staten & Kapitalet", a song with anti-capitalist political lyrics about how the government "Staten", and the private corporations "Kapitalet", cooperate to control and enslave the working classes. They released their first single "Antirock" on April 21, 1978. The band bought all the 500 copies themselves and sold them in the streets. In 1978, the time had come for their album debut "We're Only In It For The Drugs", with songs about the tough, yet boring lives of young people in the working-class suburbs. The anarchist lyrics were seen as very controversial at the time, and the lyrics of one song "Beväpna er", (Take up arms) about taking up arms against the government, the bourgeoisie and the Swedish royal family, could not be printed on the cover. The band also started to get a reputation of having troublesome gigs, with vandalism and fights. At one gig when the band was attacked by Neo-Nazis, Fjodor used his bass to fight them off. Asta Kask - Med Is I Magen

Asta Kask is a punk band from Töreboda, Sweden. It was founded as X-tas in 1978, but changed to Asta Kask in 1980. Despite the fact that they sing in Swedish the band have gained international reputation and their songs have been covered by bands from three continents. The German punk rock band Rasta Knast started as a tribute band to Asta Kask. This is the reissue of their first LP «Med Is I Magen» (1984). Very good, fast and melodic punk rock. Covers included.
