Mental health strategy

Published 2016

In recognising the increasing need for an institutional approach to mental health, The Australian National University (ANU) has developed a mental health strategy.

The strategy is based on current best practice in post-secondary student mental health which emphasises mental health and wellbeing that is inclusive of students and staff, it recognises the diverse ANU community, the wider contextual environment and principles of recovery orientated practices.

The framework comprises three target populations including an institutional (staff and student) approach to mental health and wellbeing, tailored assistance for students and staff with identified coping concerns and individual specific interventions for students or staff with mental health concerns.
