Aussie viewers say yes to Sophie Monk as the new Bachelorette, Sam Newman says no to the AFL logo change and everyone says 'yes please' to Linda Hamilton and the Terminator reboot.

In Adelaide, with enthusiasm over the Crows' spot in the finals, the show scored its highest rating episode in three years, drawing 93,000 viewers, second on the night only to Seven News.

Overall, the episode earned 432,000 viewers across Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

The Front Bar, the show's rival on Seven, trailed with 232,000 viewers in Melbourne and a total of 299,000 across all three cities.

The Footy Show, now in its 24th season, saw a ratings surge with the return of McGuire to the desk alongside Rebecca Maddern and Sam Newman in August, taking over from booted host Craig Hutchison after a 12-year absence, the show's audience has since levelled somewhat.

Thursday's grand final episode, filmed live from the Rod Laver Arena, saw Nine get its worth from McGuire, forcing the Collingwood boss to take part in the traditional 'player revue' for the first time.

The departed Hutchinson also made a tongue-in-cheek appearance, lip-syncing Shannon Noll's What About Me? from the audience stands.

The episode also featured live performances from Jimmy Barnes, Jess Mauboy and Daryl Braithwaite.
