Michael Joseph "Mike" Riley (born July 6, 1953) is an American football coach and former player, currently the head coach at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. He was previously the head coach at Oregon State University, where he served two stints, from 1997 to 1998 and again from 2003 to 2014.
Riley has also coached in several professional leagues, serving as head coach of the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL) from 1999 to 2001 and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL) from 1987 to 1990.
Riley is the oldest son of Bud Riley (1925–2012), a head coach in the CFL and collegiate assistant in the United States at Idaho and Oregon State.
Born in Wallace, Idaho, Riley is the eldest of three sons of Bud and Mary (Shumaker) Riley. Bud was from western Alabama, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and had played college football at the University of Idaho in Moscow under head coach Dixie Howell, a hall of famer as a player at Alabama. After graduation, Bud worked for a mining company in Wallace and was asked by town leaders to coach at the high school; Mary was from nearby Mullan, where her parents, Mike and Mary Shumaker, ran a hotel. The family of four, now with middle brother Ed, moved from Wallace down to Lewiston in 1959, where Bud was the head coach at Lewiston High School for three seasons.
A head coach, senior coach, or manager is a professional at training and developing athletes. They typically hold a more public profile and are paid more than other coaches. In some sports such as association football, the head coach is usually called the manager, while in other sports such as Australian rules football they are generally termed a senior coach.
Other coaches are usually subordinate to the head coach, often in offensive positions or defensive positions, and occasionally proceeding down into individualized position coaches.
Head coaches in American football have different responsibilities depending on what level of the sport they are coaching.
The head coach has a much more complete hold on the intricacies of the team. He may have to perform the duties of a defensive or offensive coordinator.
Often, high school head coaches have to do more work off the field than on. It is important that head coaches in high school hire a competent and proactive coaching staff because when the head coach is pulled away from practice then he must be confident that his team is in good hands with his other coaches and staff. One of the most difficult issues, off the field, that head coaches must deal with is the parent although many coaches do not allow parental interactions in many casess. He must be able to handle any issues that parents may have with the way that the head coach is running the program, all along while staying professional and not being demeaning. Furthermore, a high school's head football coach often serves as his school's Athletic Coordinator or Director, which adds even further responsibilities to his job. In some jurisdictions, a high school head coach must also have a paying job within the school, almost always as a teacher.

Press Conference was a public-affairs television series aired in the United States in the mid-1950s.
Press Conference was similar in format and content to the long-running Meet the Press and was moderated by one of that program's creators, pioneering female journalist Martha Rountree. On the program, a current newsmaker, generally but not always a politician, was questioned by a panel of newspersons in a typical press conference format. As usually done in a traditional press conference, the subject was allowed to make an opening statement (although not all chose to do so) prior to fielding questions.
Press Conference was launched on NBC in July 1956, but that fall moved to ABC. Initially shown in prime time, the program drew only a minimal, public-affairs oriented audience running against two high-profile Sunday night variety series, The Ed Sullivan Show on CBS and The Steve Allen Show on NBC; however, its appearance helped ABC to meet the public-interest requirements imposed on U.S broadcasters by the Federal Communications Commission. Press Conference was moved to Sunday afternoon for three months in early 1957, prior to returning to prime time in April of that year under a new title, Martha Rountree's Press Conference. The program ended in July 1957.

Away from home
alone again
this time my train is going
many miles away from you
I think there's
something you should
know
I think it's time I told you
there's something
deep inside of me
there's someone else,
I've got to be
Tears in the rain
we'll never be the same
what can we do now
baby we're thru now
we'll never meet again
tears in the rain
we'll never be the same
nothing to do now
baby we're thru now
I won't see you again
Things go their way
it's hard to say
ooh so much time was wasted
just trying to make you see
so many people change their lives
trying to understand
there's something deep inside me
there's someone else,
I've got to be
Tears in the rain
we'll never be the same
what can we do now
baby we're thru now
we'll never meet again
