Patrick Craven "Pat" Green (born April 5, 1972 in San Antonio, Texas) is an American Texas Country artist. Active since 1995, he has recorded a total of ten studio albums, including several independent works, three for Republic Records and two for BNA. Fifteen of his singles have charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, of which the highest-peaking is the No. 3 "Wave on Wave" from his gold-certified album of the same name.
Green was born in San Antonio to Craven Earl Green and Patricia Burgess. He was raised in Waco, Texas, where he attended Vanguard College Preparatory School for grades 7-12. Green's father was a former Air Force officer and stage actor who influenced his son's love of music. His parents divorced when he was seven. His mother later remarried.
After high school, Green attended Texas Tech University where he was a member of FarmHouse Fraternity. Green started his music career as an 18-year-old at Texas Tech playing small gigs at bars and clubs around Lubbock. In 1995, Green independently recorded and released a series of albums produced by Lloyd Maines using money borrowed from his parents. Green did not commit fully to his music career until 1997 when his stepfather fired him from his job as a fuel wholesaler. Green had been counting his money from a weekend of singing and his stepfather knew he would need motivation to fully pursue music as a career.
A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.
Green is the color between blue and yellow on the spectrum of visible light. It is evoked by light with a predominant wavelength of roughly 495–570 nm. In the subtractive color system, used in painting and color printing, it is created by a combination of yellow and blue, or yellow and cyan; in the RGB color model, used on television and computer screens, it is one of the additive primary colors, along with red and blue, which are mixed in different combinations to create all other colors.
The modern English word green comes from the Middle English and Anglo-Saxon word grene, from the same Germanic root as the words "grass" and "grow". It is the color of living grass and leaves and as a result is the color most associated with springtime, growth and nature. By far the largest contributor to green in nature is chlorophyll, the chemical by which plants photosynthesize and convert sunlight into chemical energy. Many creatures have adapted to their green environments by taking on a green hue themselves as camouflage. Several minerals have a green color, including the emerald, which is colored green by its chromium content.

Video by Ian Hitre. Music by Pat Battle. Filmed at the Jungle. Thursday, January 23rd, 2014. With about $4.81 to my name and a stomach full of nothing, I was dead set on making the L ride to the city to record straight after work without complaint. I'd left my gloves in Skokie the previous weekend helping my older sister move into her first apartment and was now definitely facing the very real and very dangerous threat of subzero temperatures, as I would have a considerably brutal journey from the Ashland stop on the Green Line to Loomis Street. Polar vortex, burn in hell. Thankfully, Ian escaped the malevolent clutches of his nap and decided that he would indeed, as he'd so graciously offered to earlier in the day, give me a lift from our hometown of Fopo to the Jungle and even do t...

During the mid-1960’s jazz music was changing towards “fusion” and “soul jazz” and the idiom of most post-bop jazz quartets and quintets changed as well. Rock and soul music has dominating the clubs and on radio and jazz music as a whole was reflecting the mood and times of the generation and listeners. Guitarists like Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, and Jim Hall were the masters at their game and created a voice and a distinctive technique style in their playing that gave way to the changes to what the 1960’s were to bring musically. The changing of the guard for jazz guitarists came when young and innovative musicians like Melvin Sparks, George Benson, and Pat Martino gave way to the new music trends that were part of the new jazz music taking shape. 2011 marks an important milestone for...

Thawing colours is a collaborative piece with Rocio Jungenfeld, involving ice, pigment, wool, contact microphones and concatenative synthesis. A series of ice globes, containing pigment are suspended over a blank piece of paper. As the ice melts, pigment and colouring drips down, to form patterns, shapes and flows on the paper. When the ice melts, pebbles and wool are left suspended. Visitors are invited to gently disrupt the stationarity of the piece; as the ice and pebbles sway, movement is translated to the hooks and hangings, augmented with thin wires to create a maximum of interference. The inaudible vibrations in the metalwork at the top of the piece are captured by sensitive contact microphones, with microscopic movements producing huge metallic textures. As well as being played li...

Pat Donohue leads off the Tuesday night schedule at Middlebury's Festival on the Green 2016. Pat Donohue is a grammy-winning fingerstyle guitarist and talented singer- songwriter of blues, folk, and jazz, a natural entertainer with charm and wit. Pat is one of the most listened to finger pickers in the world. Having been a songwriter and guitarist for twenty years for the “Guys All Star Shoe Band” of Minnesota Public Radio’s “A Prairie Home Companion,” Pat got to show off his savvy licks and distinctive original songs to millions of listeners each week. His decades long association with Garrison Keillor’s popular program has led to some unusual gigs: There was the aftershow club date in Berlin, when Wynton Marsalis showed up to sit in with Pat and the Prairie Home band. This recent series of short videos is Scott Reeder's attempt to add structure to his ever expanding collection of found images. Scott has always been interested in the kind of accidental meaning that occurs when you force unlike things together. In his studio practice he usually nudges this process along by making lists. He makes long lists of words, ideas and phrases and he is interested in how the right two words next to each other can be enough to suggest an entire story or complex image. With this new video series he's interested in a similar kind of experiment; how duration, sequencing or sound can fuse unlike things together and take you somewhere you didn’t expect to go. aPpKVg -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Managers are always looking for that next big thing, and there often is a lot of criteria for what does and doesn't make the cut. Moreover, that criteria changes from person to person. However, there are often common factors that play in to what a manager looks for in artists. Pat Magnarella represents some of the biggest artists in the business like Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls, and All-American Rejects. But, how did Pat first get drawn in to represent a band of that caliber? In this Reman Live! clip, Pat recounts how Green Day first got on his radar, and what about the band specifically inspired him to want to manage them. Day after day
The search goes on
No ones explained
That grevings so strong
Love runs so deep
Down in your soul
It hit me so high
All that I know
(chorus):
Cause baby the lucky ones
Baby the lucky ones
Baby the lucky ones
For a moment or two
Get to fall in love with somebody like you
Get to fall in love with somebody like you
They say use your head
Don't lose control
To hell with that pride
I swallowed it hole
There's nothing but love
No one but you
Can make such a hero
Of such a fool
(chorus)
Baby the lucky ones
Baby the lucky ones
Baby the lucky ones
For a moment or two
Get to fall in love with somebody like you
The lucky ones
Baby the lucky ones
Baby the lucky ones
