At one such spa, tourists and local residents alike enjoy the hot water, which is said to help ease arthritis and other painful complaints. STORYLINE: Tourists seeking the beneficial effects of spa treatments in Iran head off to the Sabalan Hydrotherapy Complex, in the north west of the country. The complex is a hot tourist attraction in more than one way. The baths are built over 7,200 square metres and feature a two-story building constructed on 6 acres of land. Unveiled in 1997, the complex has been attracting tourists since then. Signs in English shows the spa's popularity among foreign tourists. Inside people of all ages enjoy the hot steam while basking in the pool room. It is said the hot water springs can improve health by increasing blood circulation, the sweating out of toxins and promoting psychological and muscular relaxation.
